Chapter 0:

Prologue

That Idiot God Helped Me Awaken My Power Vol.1

In this world, strength is not an advantage. It is permission.

Permission to speak. Permission to live. Permission to protect someone and not watch them disappear.

Power awakens in people in many ways. Some are born with it and it blooms like breathing. Some are forced into it by pain, loss, or a hand that drags them past the point of breaking. It looks limitless when you first witness it, like a law of nature you can borrow.

But borrowed things return to where they came from.

Time shaves power down. No matter how bright a human flame becomes, it thins, it flickers, it dies. Generations rise thinking they will be the exception. They never are.

Only two exist beyond that decline.

One shapes. One ends.

Creation and Destruction. Not titles given by worshippers, not stories told to children, but forces that breathe through the world itself. They do not “win” the way humans imagine victory. They simply continue. When one pushes forward, the other follows. When one builds, the other proves that everything built can be broken.

And between them, humanity repeats the same mistake.

We see the gods fight, we fear them, we curse them, and then we try to reach them.

We form clans. We raise prodigies. We crown Pillars and name them "Inner" or "Outer" Guards as if labels can hold back the tide. We build schools that look like training grounds, and training grounds that feel like battlefields. We teach children to swing blades before they learn what a peaceful morning is.

Then the cycle returns.

The sky splits with light that is not lightning. The ground trembles with steps that are not footsteps. Cities become maps of ash. Names become numbers. Heroes become graves.

The Great Commanders appear whenever Destruction decides the world has grown too loud.

They do not arrive like soldiers. They arrive like answers.

Every time humanity rises, every time we grow arrogant enough to believe the future belongs to us, they come again. Vessels wearing faces. Souls wearing power. Each one built to strike at the exact place a person is weakest. Sometimes it is the body. Sometimes it is the heart. Sometimes it is both.

Humans fight anyway.

They always do.

A spear breaks. A spell fails. A sword slips. A scream is swallowed by smoke. Still, someone stands. Someone always stands, even when standing has no meaning left.

That is the part I never hated.

It is easy to destroy what has no will. It is boring.

For a long time, the world has been boring.

Thousands of years, then millions, then more, and the pattern stays the same. Humans gain power, they worship power, they kill for power. They grow strong, then they lose. Destruction laughs without a mouth. Creation watches without a tear.

Then one era began to feel different.

Not because humans suddenly became pure, or kind, or wise. They were still human. They still fought each other. They still traded lives for pride and called it honor. They still turned strength into a throne.

But the new generation was sharper.

They adapted faster. They learned from old wars. They were not satisfied with copying the past, and that alone was dangerous.

The Pillars of this era were not just strong. They were symbols. They were scars that learned how to move. They were proof that humanity could push back, even if only for a moment.

Even the Great Commanders began to fall more often than before.

The cycle did not break. Not yet.

But it shook.

And when a cycle shakes, something inside it cracks.

A crack is small. A crack is nothing. A crack does not look like hope.

A crack looks like a mistake.

That is why I noticed him.

Not a warrior crowned with praise. Not a prodigy raised in a clan’s spotlight. Not someone with perfect talent, perfect discipline, perfect blood.

A boy who should have been irrelevant.

A boy who could not awaken what his family expected. A boy whose body carried weakness like a curse, whose right arm refused to become what it was supposed to be. A boy who did everything “correctly” and still watched the world punish him for it.

A boy who learned the shape of helplessness.

Most people break there and stay broken. Some people break and become monsters. Some break and become empty.

But this one did something far more troubling.

He kept living.

Quietly. Stubbornly. Without the comfort of hope.

That kind of survival is rare.

And rare things change the world.

The gods do not fear many things. Destruction does not fear at all. Creation does not fear either, not in the way humans do.

But we recognize a turning point when we see one.

This era has many strong fighters. It has many tragic stories. It has many flames.

Yet this boy is different, because his fate does not burn like the others.

And when it finally opens, it will not be gentle.

So tonight, while the world sleeps and pretends tomorrow will be normal, I will step into his dream.

Not because I pity him or that I want to save him.

Because I am tired of boredom.

Because the cycle is cracking.

And because if humanity truly has a chance to wound a god, even for a single moment, it will begin with someone who once believed he was powerless.
