Chapter 43:

Class 1-A's Fury

My Hero Academia: Gura Gura no Mi

The audience stared in shock.

What was going on?

The remaining Class 1-A teams looked like they had become different people. They charged out from every direction, furious, and attacked Class 1-B's teams.

Their frustration had finally spilled over.

"Is that Class 1-A?"

"Why are they so angry?"

"They look completely different from the start of the match."

"What happened to make them like this?"

Even Present Mic was stunned. "With only forty-five seconds left, Class 1-A's teams are rushing in and attacking Class 1-B. Is this a last-second comeback? What caused Class 1-A to change so suddenly? That intensity is terrifying."

He shivered. Class 1-A's intensity really was frightening.

Aizawa smiled faintly. "Yuto's presence really did push them."

Was that true?

The audience went quiet for a moment.

The two Class 1-B teams that still had points were even more shocked.

Did a school competition really need to feel this scary?

Why did it feel like Class 1-A wanted to tear them apart?

Their courage faltered before the fight even began.

Mineta threw sticky balls as fast as he could. "Damn it! I want to be as cool as Yuto too! Class 1-B, get out of the way. He was right. Class 1-A is the strongest."

Tokoyami controlled Dark Shadow, his voice low. "The strong often share the same understanding. I agree with Yuto. Class 1-A is indeed the strongest."

Mina sprayed acid while swinging her fist. "None of you even come close to Yuto-chan. Get out of our way!"

Tsuyu said calmly, "We're part of Class 1-A too, ribbit. We're going to be heroes. No matter what, Yuto-chan can't take all the attention." The audience finally understood.

Yuto.

Again, it was Yuto. He had clearly lit a fire under Class 1-A.

The question was how far that fire would push them.

What kind of influence did he have that he could change an entire class so quickly?

The crowd could not understand it.

Then something even more frightening happened.

Bakugo blasted forward, flames roaring from his palms.

"Class 1-B, get out of my way! You stole my points and even copied my Quirk. I'm crushing you first, then I'm dealing with Yuto. I'm going to beat him, so hand over your spot in the next round!"

A massive explosion slammed toward Class 1-B like a fireball.

The Class 1-B students trembled.

Was that level of attack really necessary? It looked horrifying.

And it was not over.

Todoroki snorted coldly and pressed his palm to the ground.

Ice surged forward, freezing everything in its path until it swallowed the Class 1-B team in a massive glacier.

"Sorry," Todoroki said, voice flat. "I'm in a bad mood, so I may have gone a little hard. I promised Yuto I would meet him in the finals, so I'm taking your spot in the next round."

The temperature across U.A. dropped sharply.

Teeth chattered throughout the stadium.

The remaining Class 1-B teams looked completely overwhelmed. All because of Yuto.

What had happened to Class 1-A to make them so fixated on him?

And Class 1-B ended up caught in the middle. Explosions roared.

The entire stadium trembled. In the final thirty seconds of the Cavalry Battle, Class 1-A's anger burned at full force.

The clock hit zero. The match ended.

Dust covered the field, hiding almost everything.

When it cleared, the two remaining Class 1-B teams looked battered and exhausted.

Half the battlefield had already been wrecked by Yuto. The other half had just been destroyed by Bakugo and Todoroki.

Bakugo's team and Todoroki's team had both secured enough points to advance.

Bakugo clenched his fist and shouted, "Yuto! I won't lose this time. This time, I'm going to beat you!"

Todoroki's gaze was cold. "Yuto is my target."

The two of them faced each other, the tension between them sharp enough to spark.

The Class 1-A students who had been eliminated looked disappointed.

Tsuyu sighed. "I wanted to challenge Yuto-chan too and test my own strength."

Mineta wailed, "I wanted to be as cool as Yuto and popular with girls. Even if I lost, I wanted to challenge him. Then I would have no regrets."

Ojiro looked regretful. "I knew the chance of winning was low, but I still wanted to try. I wanted to know the gap between us and use that as a goal."

The others nodded. He had said what they all felt.

As U.A. students and future heroes, none of them wanted to stay below someone else forever. Challenging the strong was part of who they were.

And right now, Yuto was their goal.

After the match, the stadium went silent.

Not a single cheer came from the massive audience.

The spectators stared at the field, stunned.

What had they just watched?

Class 1-A had transformed in the final moments. They had charged into Class 1-B with Yuto's words still burning in their heads, driven by frustration and competitive pride.

How had one student pushed the entire class this far?

How had he changed them so much?

The audience could not understand because they had not lived through the USJ incident with them.

In the commentary booth, Present Mic finally understood. His voice still carried shock.

"This is the Class 1-A that survived the USJ attack. With overwhelming momentum, they pulled off a huge comeback in the final seconds. But their feelings toward Yuto seem intense. They kept shouting his name while fighting."

Aizawa shook his head. "It's not resentment. It's competitiveness. That's a quality heroes need. They compete with one another, push one another, and want to become strong enough to protect their class."

He looked at the field. "There's a gap between people who keep trying to reach the top and people who are satisfied staying behind. Because Yuto exists, Class 1-A's desire to win has become stronger. They all want to climb higher."

After a pause, he added, "Maybe that is Yuto's unique charisma."

Present Mic let out a breath. "No wonder Yuto's popularity has been skyrocketing during the Sports Festival. All right, congratulations to the three advancing Class 1-A teams. And give Class 1-B a round of applause as well. They gave us an incredible match."

After a moment of silence, the stadium erupted again. That was Class 1-A.

They had lived up to the hype.

Was Yuto the reason?

At the same time, in a dark room, a boy covered in severed hands sat in front of a computer.

He scratched at his neck until red marks appeared, eyes fixed on Yuto on the screen.

"Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. Yuto again."

His voice twisted with hatred.

"Yuto, I'm going to destroy you. Kurogiri, contact Sensei. Tell him I need more Nomu. I'm going to destroy him."

If Yuto had not appeared, his plan at USJ would have succeeded.
