THE DAY THE WORLD CHANGED

Pen woke to the sound of his alarm, still yawning, stunned and remained motionless fragments of last night dream still like its imprinted in the edge of his thoughts, blurry image of coastlines and again the endless staircase, Then the images faded.

Just like always. Pen sat up and stared out the window daydreaming sighing every few second of becoming rich because he doesn’t have money, born and grow up from an orphanage struggle with the rent of the apartment, and outside is till the normal cycle of the world people usually do.

Pen” shook his head” and said “reality is reality”, the cycle of life, grow up found jobs paid bills started family grown old until the last day before dead.

The first sign appeared shortly before noon, suddenly phone lost signal, at first, nobody paid much attention to it thinking it was just a glitch from the signal tower but then network outages happened, students in school disturbed that the internet disconnected, moments later every screen inside the classroom flickered.

People on ear stood frozen watching unable to understand what they were seeing.

The sky no longer looked real It looked broken as thought the reality itself had developed cracks the distortion expanded higher further across the entire horizon.

Pen is flinched couldn't look away His mind desperately searched for explanations.

People not believing this is happening everything is turned

Pen for the first time, pen found himself into something he could not understand.

And it’s terrifying him, the world shook again and the ocean is moving.

The land masses of the entire earth changes.

People in the earth can see the earth geography is changing. emergency broadcasts all around the world. The impossible was unfolding before their eyes the world itself was changing today.

Then the Towers appeared one moment, the horizon was empty next thing they know something stood there.

Pen felt his breath catch far beyond the coastline stood a colossal black structure.

Pen said “it’s Impossible. “

Its peak vanished beyond the clouds.

The structure seemed less like a building and more like a law of nature ancient unmovable.

Then more appeared one after another across every horizon across every nation across the newly forming supercontinent, people on earth watched as colossal structures emerged throughout the world. Ten, Twenty, Fifty A hundred and still more appeared people screamed.

Millions stared in disbelief, News broadcasts switched entirely to live coverage all nations governments abandoned everything like nothing matter anymore than the Tower

When the phenomenon finally ended, one hundred and twenty Towers stood beneath the same sky One Tower, One Nation.

Then the voice arrived not through speakers, not through the air Inside their minds every human, Every language every nation across all one hundred and twenty nations the same voice.

The world fell silent even breathing felt difficult "Welcome." Fear spread through billions of hearts "The Age of Awakening has begun."

Pen fell to one knee pain in his head information flooded his mind pen is trying to analyze to see the patterns to connect everything and then suddenly words appeared floating inside his head

Pen focus at the “Observer” word inside his head he felt strangely familiar because it’s his personality it’s what he does daily, Pen Observe analyzed search for patterns searched for answers then the message inside his head shifted

A chill ran down his whole body. As he blink he sees a visual into the future he doesn’t know how many seconds how long into the future, visual of truck rushing in can’t be stopped visual of a women crossing hit by the truck and the visual of blood ,and his instinct brings him out of the startled emotion ,then he realize he needs to act quickly and to protect that gave him the first response to move quickly and prevent that truck to hit the woman and save a life.

Around him he still sees people standing at the same place analyzing the messages inside their head, some laughed some cried and scream and others just flinch didn’t move trying to absorb everything and government setting up border lines among nations as the earthquake pull all the land into one landmass

Humanity currently is at a border line that will never return to the ordinary world

beyond the city beyond the clouds. The Sky Tower stood silently the world had finally become larger than everyone could imagine.

And humanity completely unprepared for it.
