Chapter 1:

దైవత్వం (Daivatvam): The Godhood Prologue: Premise

దైవత్వం (Daivatvam): The Godhood

దైవత్వం (Daivatvam): The Godhood

Prologue: Premise

There is one question that has lingered in humanity's mind for ages:

What would a person do if they obtained god-like powers?

This story was born from that question.

"Godhood" is a word that has carried many meanings throughout history.

In some cultures, it is closely tied to faith, devotion, and spirituality.

In others, it represents power, authority, and the ability to shape the world according to one's will.

While in other instances, those meanings appear completely flipped.

Every now and then, in certain stories, someone dies, crosses over into another world, and suddenly becomes a god.

You know what I am talking about, and I know it too.

However, this story follows a different path.

So, let's dive right into it.

In an alternate future Andhra, India, during the 2050s, a young man named Raghava obtains powers comparable to those of a supreme god and is transported into an entirely different mythological universe—one with its own cultures, civilizations, gods, and goddesses.

There, he possesses immense divine abilities; powers capable of reshaping the world itself.

Yet despite all that power, there is one thing he does not possess:

He does not know the future.

He has no way of knowing what consequences his actions will create, what effects his decisions will have, or how the people, civilizations, and even the gods of that universe will be changed by his intervention.

Along with Raghava, another cosmic law enters that world:

Karma.

From that moment onward, every action carries a consequence.

Every choice creates a chain of events.

Every act of kindness, every judgment, every punishment, every blessing, and every intervention leaves a mark upon the world.

Because of this, Raghava cannot simply act according to his desires.

He must think carefully before using his power, for even the noblest intention may produce unforeseen results.

Please do not link or compare this story with other reincarnation tales.

The moment you view this story through that lens, you may miss what it is truly trying to convey.

You may overlook its central theme.

This is not a story about a person dying and instantly becoming a god through rebirth.

It follows a different path.

This story is not about obtaining godhood.

It is about understanding it.

It is about responsibility.

It is about wisdom.

It is about justice.

It is about compassion.

And it is about the burden that comes with possessing divine power.

It is about a young man learning what it truly means to stand in the place of a god.

The universe, gods, goddesses, cultures, and civilizations featured in this story are entirely fictional.

While some elements may draw inspiration from various real-world cultures and mythologies, they are not intended to represent any real religion, tradition, culture, or people.

This story takes place in a separate fictional universe and should be viewed as a work of fantasy fiction.

I hope you will accompany me on this journey and experience the story for what it is.

Because, in the end, this story is not asking:

"What would I do if I became a god?"

It is asking a far more difficult question:

"What kind of person must I become to deserve godhood?"
