Chapter 0:

First Rotation of the Divine Wheel

Sovereign Roulette

Thousands of years ago, five nations lived in harmony. Each realm was ruled by alegendary hero, deeply respected by their own people. But one day, the Goddess who ruled over the continent grew bored of the peace.Deciding that a war will be far more entertaining, she began to whisper poison into theirears, manipulating the heroes into turning against each other. That was how the first rotation of the divine wheel began, sparking an all-out war.Fast forward to the present day.My name is Aung Chin Phyo. I have average build, messy black curly hair and I wearglasses. One day I was just walking home from high school, minding my own business, when agiant glowing magic circle suddenly materialized right above my head. Before I couldeven process what was happening, gravity quit its day job. I started floating straight uptoward the sky.In a panic, I lunged forward and grabbed a nearby lamppost. It didn't help. The magicwas so strong that the entire metal post got yanked right out of the concrete with a loudCRACK, and now I was floating upward while spooning a piece of city infrastructure .Staring up at the swirling vortex of magic runes, a cold sweat broke out down my spine.I realized I couldn't stop this random fantasy kidnapping. If I was going to anotherworld, I only had seconds left to handle the life-or-death task of my entire existence. With my free hand, I whipped out my phone, frantically tapped the screen, and clearedmy browsing history. As the blinding light swallowed me whole, I let out a breath and smiled a deeplysatisfying smile. My body might be stolen, but my dignity remained intact. When I finally woke up again, the first thing I saw was a canopy of unfamiliar forest treesthat looked far too ancient to be normal. I sat up, groggily clutching my head as thesheer dizziness of the interdimensional teleportation hit me. I immediately lookedtowards my side to see the lamppost was still there. It is not. With a heavy sigh, I scanned my surroundings instead. That's when I noticed four otherstrangers scattered nearby, all looking just as out of place as I did. They were just startingto stir from sleep, groggily blinking at the weird, golden sky in absolute confusion.Fueled by pure curiosity, I pushed myself to my feet and walked over to inspect them orintroduce myself.I judged them one by one. The first girl looked so icy and untouchable she couldprobably freeze the entire continent with a single glance. The next guy was a textbookdefinition of an edge lord, radiating pure emo energy because he was looking around inan all black outfit like he planned the entire dramatic interaction from the start. Thenthere was a girl trying way too hard to play the elegant role too seriously, you could seethe thin layers of makeup from five feet away. And the final guy? He had a look ofpermanent confusion that made me suspect he could get lost on a straight, single path,or he was just flat-out stupid.I speak up to break the awkward confused silence. “Hey, you guys are kidnapped too?”The Icy girl looked up with her frosty gaze perfectly level “Seems so,” she said calmly.“Although I can't trust anyone here just yet.”Hearing us, the try-hard princess girl puffed up her chest that was barely there andpointed a dramatic finger towards us “you peasant dare speak so casually in mypresence? Do you have any ideas who you are talking to? I am The great Alexander thethird! Bow before me!”Four of us turned to deadpan stare at her. Then, in perfect unison, we said “I don't recallany royalty with that name.” Alexander immediately began throwing a tantrum in the background, but the rest of usjust ignored her and looked around to finish introductions. I raised a hand carefreely“my name is Aung Chin Phyo. What about you guys?”The icy girl raised a sharp eyebrow “that is an unusual name”I leaned down slightly, looking at her with a smirk “oh yeah? What about your name,Elsa?”Her left eye twitched in pure annoyance. Being called a Disney princess by a guy wholooked like he still lived in his parent's basement was clearly not on her agenda today.“My name is Lucy Glacia.” she snapped her pristine posture cracking “Just call meLucy.”I chuckled “Lucy huh? Nice to meet you.”Lucy just gives a stiff nod.Our eyes drifted towards an edge lord, who is currently deep in his own world, internalmonologuing about something undoubtedly edgy while trying his absolute best toblend into the scenery like a background character. Well it will work for the other peoplein this world but not us.Lucy raised an eyebrow at him. “and you are?”The guy immediately feigned total innocence, looking like a man desperately trying toavoid the spotlight. “The name Htet Win. I am just a side character.”I raised my eyebrow and didn't press further. Watching him play dumb was wayentertaining. Instead I turned towards the last guy who looked utterly lost. “and youare?”The lost guy answered immediately, attempting to strike a cool pose “ahh, umm, yeah!My name is Jane Connie. I only like fighting.”I nodded respectfully but internally, I was losing my mind ‘Unbelievable. I got Elsa wholooks like she doesn't want to team up, Princess Peace is still throwing tantrums in thebackground, Bruce Wayne over there brooding in a fake innocent act you can't fool me with fake innocent act although I honestly can't wait to see what his alter ego look like, and there Zoro 2.0: all bruises no brains.’I sighed and looked up at the canopy of the ancient forest. 'sigh this is gonna be eitherthe best or the absolute worst Isekai adventure ever.’
