Mayutan's Love (Part 1)

"Even though we finally got our weapons, we still haven't run into a single monster, meow," Tanimaki grumbled.

"Undo only returned not long ago," said Mayutan. "If we can defeat him now, before it's too late, the monsters won't have a chance to spread throughout this country."

"But where is Undo?" Debiru asked. "We can't defeat him until we figure out where he's hiding."

"Debiru's right. The Nyaon Jar can wait. Finding Undo's whereabouts has to come first."

Even as he spoke, Mayutan quietly pondered their next move.

They walked across a meadow blanketed with annual fleabane and white clover.

Before long, they spotted a female cat with pale-colored fur quietly picking flowers by herself. She noticed Tanimaki and the others and gazed silently in their direction.

Then—

"W-What a beautiful lady... Please marry me!" Debiru blurted out.

"Will you marry me, meow?" cried Tanimaki.

The two of them suddenly lost all sense of reason and proposed to the female cat out of nowhere.

"What's gotten into you two?" Mayutan asked.

Mayutan alone seemed unaffected.

"Oh, no... I did it again..."

The female cat sheepishly stuck out her tongue.
