Chapter 2 Combining of the Two Planets

Two weeks have passed since Prince Ron, and I have signed the contracts for our “fake engagement”, and it still gives me the creeps. I just wish there was a way to get rid of him, but I am only doing all of this crap for my cousin. I cannot believe this is happening to me since it is a pain dealing with a headache I did not want for a very long time. The worst part of all of this we are announcing the engagement this afternoon, is that this news has already spread all over the kingdom and I had to escape it.

I decided to leave the palace for a while and head over to the mountain dojo with Hyde. I am not sure how long we were training, but I do wish I could stay here forever.

“Ok, can we take a break?” Hyde asked. “My arms feel like they are going to fall off.”

“I am sorry, my little hot head. I did not mean to release all my anger on you. I am just pissed about what is going to happen later today,” I apologized for hugging Hyde.

“Yeah, just remind me next time to not get on your bad side.”

“I promise. I am sorry, but I better go before I am late for family breakfast, care to join me?” I said, trying to be flirty.

“I think I will pass. I will meet you at the palace a little later,” Hyde declined.

“Ok. Don’t forget me.”

“How could I forget you after the two weeks we spent together?”

“Yeah, keep that in mind. See you later.”

To make it home faster, I used a simple teleportation spell taking me in front of the dining hall to join my family. It turns out that I am the last one to arrive.

“Good morning, everyone!”

“Good morning sister!”

“Now that I said my hellos, I better leave,” I said I wanted to leave.

“I hope you are not planning on leaving without eating a proper breakfast,” father said as he was reading over some papers.

“Yes father,” I say, taking my seat next to him.

“Ok, now let us begin,” father announced to the family.

At father’s command, food of different types appear. Muffins of different flavors, eggs, beacon, toast, and fruit all around the table.

As we were digging in, we were discussing our plans for the day, but I just wanted to get hell out of there.

“Thank you for the lovely breakfast, but Hyde is coming over before the ceremony and I do not want to be late,” I said, trying to leave.

“Ok, fine, but please do not be late.”

“I promise father,” I said running out the door.

As I was leaving the dining hall ready to teleport to where Hyde is, I was surprised he was already there waiting for me.

“If it isn’t my beautiful butterfly,” Hyde complimented and kissed me on the lips.

“I am glad you are able to make it to the palace before heading to the stadium and thank you for the compliment,” I replied. Then to his surprise, I managed to kiss him on the cheeks and lips.

“That was an interesting hello.”

“Well, I do love you more than anyone else.”

“So, what should we do now since we do have a few hours before the ceremony?”

“Maybe we can do some more training?”

“More training? I thought we could relax in the hot spring,” Hyde suggested.

“Ok, fine, but you have to promise me that I get to release some steam later.”

“That is a deal.”

“Ok, let’s go.”

As we walked to my family’s dojo, it still gets to me how beautiful the garden path is when we walk all over the palace. We keep the gardens warm enough for the flowers we gather over the years to maintain a healthy life.

When we arrived at the dojo area, instead of heading over to the dojo, we headed over to the hot spring.

“So, you have decided to take my advice,” Hyde teased.

“Well, you did not want to train, so I thought we could relax,” I explained. “Are you coming in or not?”

“Ok, let’s do it,” Hyde said, walking in.

As we entered the hots spring room, I could tell Hyde noticed the weapon rack.

“Why I’m not surprised we have different definitions of relaxation,” Hyde said.

“Then pick your weapon and let’s get started,” I said, grabbing my weapon.

“Fine, you win,” Hyde said, picking up his favorite staff.

My personal favorite weapon is a steel baton with ribbons that can cut through anything with one strike. Hyde’s weapon is a staff with great power that can break through anything.

As we are fighting, Hyde tries to close in on me to avoid my ribbons since they can cut through his skin. It was so much fun attacking him when he did not realize I had made improvements on my baton and took away his attack range. I started to get bored with his attack style, so I started attacking him by kicking away at his staff. He may be fast on his feet, but when it comes to fighting, he can be a bit slow.

“Oh, come on Hyde, you can do better than this.”

“I know, but your ribbons are dangerous than they look.”

“I thought you were not afraid of anything.”

“I am not, but in this case, I will be this time.”

“Don’t think of them as something that can hurt you. Think of it as a wave you have to conquer to reach your goal.”

“Right, I get it now.”

Hyde took my words to heart and began attacking me more aggressively. I love it when I see my little hot head in action because I always love it when he is all fired up and enjoying his fighting style trying to get me exhausted. Sadly, at times he can be overly confident when he fights me. Using the love he has for me, I manage to create an opening and strike him in the heart, making me the winner.

“Looks like you win again.”

“I know, but did you let me win or you were distracted?”

“A little bit of both. You are dangerous with your staff.”

“Thanks, but you were distracted right?”

“Yes, you are the prettiest girl, I ever known.”

“You sure are the charmer I never known. Wait until I get older than you cannot take your eyes off of me for a minute.”

“I am looking forward to that.”

“We better hurry before we are late.”

“Do not remind me. I cannot believe I have to go in front of the entire kingdom to announce the union engagement with “the prince of fools.” Why we cannot announce our engagement instead.”

“I know, I wish for the same as well, but we have to wait. Besides, you are doing this for the sake for your cousin.”

“I know but it still bugs me he will be part of my family in some way regardless of who he marries.”

“I know this is a burden for you, but I will be with you every step of the way.”

“Promise me, you will never let me go through this again.”

“I promise on my life.”

“Good, now can we kiss?”

Hyde and I kissed for longer than we thought since the steam of the hot spring made it hot, it just made us want to kiss some more.

I did not want to leave and stay there kissing, but we had to go.

“Looks like we got one more hour before the ceremony, what should we do next?”

“Hum, since this day is important for the kingdom, why not end it with a bang?”

“What do you have in mind?”

“Wait. I have an idea. I need to call Max.”

“I do not think I like this look you have.”

Now that I got Hyde on board, I speed dial Max.

“Hello, this is Max.”

“Hi, Max, I have a favor to ask,” I said, getting to the point.

“Yeah, what is it? Max asked.

“Do you still have those fireworks we invented?” I asked, hoping he would say yes.

“Yeah, why?” Max asked a bit surprised.

“I need you to bring them to the ceremony. We are going to test them on Prince Ron before we send them to the distributors,” I explain to magic.

“Very well, I will bring them over in two hours. This is going to be fun,” Max said.

“Yeah, ok, we will meet at the east entrance. Bye,” I said hanging up.

“You sure are evil,” Hyde said, loving my evil side.

“I know, but that is why you love me. Now how about we train some more before we have to get ready?”

“Sure, let’s do it,” Hyde said following my lead.

Hyde and I resumed our training for the next hour until the alarm went off, alerting us that we seriously had to get ready.

We head straight to the palace straight to my room and head for the showers. Luckily, I had two showers, so we were not far apart.

Once I get out of the shower, I went straight to my dressing room to dry off my hair. Then I grabbed my dress off the hanger which was nothing special. It is a simple blue mini dress with stars all around it with matching white heels and star accessories.

When I was done, I decided to sneak into Hyde’s changing room to surprise him. It seems he is not out of the shower yet, so I wait in the bedroom before he gets out. I wonder around the room seeing how this room needed improvements.

As soon as I heard the shower turned off, I went to hide in the closet waiting to surprise him. He walked into the bedroom with only a towel covering his lower half and all I could see was his muscles. We might be early teens, but his muscles sure are amazing to see even now. I cannot wait to see the improvements once he gets older. I am glad, he got dressed because I do not think I can handle myself staring at his hot body or I will melt into my emotions.

Now that I was able to breathe, I decided to jump out of the closet and surprise him.

“Surprise!” I shouted.

“Huh, Madison, what are you doing here?”

“You are in my room, remember. I thought I would surprise you.”

“You were here the entire time?”

“Yeah, so, you would have done the same thing if our roles are reversed.”

“True, but I do not need to sneak around to enjoy the view of the most beautiful girl of the galaxy, when you are all mine.”

“Thank you. I guess we are both lucky to have each other.”

“Well, shall we get going?” Hyde asked, escorting me out.

“Yes, let’s go,” I say, taking his arm.

We left my room and headed to the main gate where a car was waiting for us. My family left ahead of us to the venue since they are the hosts of this show. We walked over to the car, and we were off to the stadium after the driver closed the doors behind us. I did not know how exhausted I was from training and dosed off on Hyde’s shoulder. Before I fell asleep, I did see Hyde also dosed off too.

When we woke up, we did not realize we had already arrived at the east entrance to the stadium. We quickly fixed up our outfits and exited the car making our way to the stadium.

As we are making our way to the staircase, Max arrives with the delivery request.

“Hey, Max thanks for coming,” I said greeting my friend.

“I am glad you did not come late this time. Everything is ready and here is the remote to operate them,” Max explained, handing me the gifts.

“Thank you. See you later,” I said hiding the items in my purse.

“Yes, you’re welcome, but do not get me involved if you get caught,” Max warns.

“Don’t worry, you will not be blamed,” I called out Max.

“This is going to be fun,” I said, getting excited for this prank.

“Oh, there is that look, I am not a fan of,” Hyde teases.

“Oh, come on, when are you going to have a bit of fun.”

“Alright, now let’s go. You win.”

We are heading up the stairs, when my guardian Libra appears to get me.

“My lady, please hurry the ceremony is about to start,” Libra says with worry.

“I am coming,” I said exhausted.

Hyde and I followed Libra up the stairs, but I was sensing something that made me stop.

“Hyde, please head up with Libra, I will stay behind with Scorpio and Sagittarius,” I said having a weird feeling.

“Why? What is wrong?”

“I am pretty sure you sensed it too. I will stay here and take care of the situation,” I explained.

“Take care. Come back alive,” Hyde, teased.

“Don’t worry; it will not take too long.”

As Hyde left, my guardians and I stand our guard to defeat whatever is coming our way.

I guess I should take the time to explain about guardians. Guardians work like bodyguards and helpers. They come from the planet Orion and swear their lives to be protectors of their charge. No one knows why we have guardians, but we bond with them on the first day we are born. Each civilian is contracted with two guardians while royals and gods are given three depending on their status. We do have laws protecting the guardian’s life and one important rule everyone must follow is that they are not salves. Anyone who breaks the contract with their guardian will be sentence to death and the guardian returns home.

“Shouldn’t you be back home with your father?” I asked slyly.

“I should be home, but His Majesty invited my father and family to this event, but they were busy, so I came instead representing the family,” Prince Bakura explained as he approaches me with a smile.

“It is good to see you again, your highness, but I better go, if you don’t mind,” I say about leaving.

“Wait, Madison,” Prince Bakura shouts, trying to get my attention.

“Only my friends can call me Madison,” I replied, starting to get angry.

“I am sorry, your highness.”

“Better, so what do you want?”

“I came to see you.”

“That is sweet, but as you know I already have a boyfriend.”

“I am aware you have a companion, but if I do not say what I need to say, then I will regret it,” Prince Bakura pleaded.

“Fine, what is it that you have to say?”

“Very well. When I first met you two weeks ago, I cannot get you out of my head.”

“And why is that?” I asked, curiously.

“Your Highness, I think you are the most beautiful, smart, and skilled magician I have ever met. I guess what I am really trying to say is that I love you,” Prince Bakura said embarrassing himself to confess his feelings to me.

“That is cute, but I hear that a lot and like I said before I have a boyfriend.”

“Wait, you cannot leave until you give me an answer.”

“Fine, if you want an answer, then I will give you one. First of all, you cannot love me, we just met two weeks ago. Since that time, I have not cared about thinking of you. I respect you for being a powerful magician and prince. I am a fan, but I will say this, that is all I feel for you. I will not love you since I have a boyfriend that I love very much. Lastly, I am eternally grateful to your family for helping to cure my beloved cousin Lady Sofia. Now, if you do not mind,” I confessed, as I start walking away with my guardians.

“Thank you for being honest with me. I never thought I would be rejected by a princess,” Prince Bakura said a bit disappointed.

“Yeah, well, I am hard one to catch and I am already taken. Don’t worry, you will find someone one day,” I admitted.

“I do hope so too. Your highness, do you mind taking this letter off my hands? It is something I wrote to you, and I do not wish to keep it,” Prince Bakura said, handing me the letter.

“Very well, I will read it when I can. I must be going,” I said, ready to leave.

“That is all I can ask for, your highness,” Prince Bakura says, as he heads up the stairs.

After he left, I put the letter in my pocket and continue walking up the stairs, but I was stopped by the only other person I did not want to see today.

“Great the other person, I really did not want to see today,” I said to Prince Ron with an annoyed look.

“That is harsh to say to your future fiancé,” Prince Ron teased.

“Do you really want me to kill you here because I will enjoy doing it?”

“Harsh, besides what will your cousin think of you after you kill her beloved prince.”

“Fine, what do you want?”

“I wanted to ask, who was that guy?”

“It was Prince Bakura.”

“I see. I heard he has a crush on you.”

“I really do not have time for this.”

“Chill I was only joking.”

“My lady, we really must be going,” Scorpio said, trying to rush us.

“Yes, lead the way.”

“Shall we go up together?”

“Sure, then I can vomit on you later,” I said carefully placing the fireworks in his pants.

Prince Ron and I finally arrived at the stage and went to sit with our families before father began his speech.

“My people as you know we are gathered here today, to celebrate the union of two mighty powerful kingdoms into one. As many of you may know the kingdom, the planet of Lunaca is dying and in order to save it we are combining the two kingdom planets together. To remember this moment in history, the King of Lunaca and I are in agreement to rename our beloved home Galaxia.”

Cheers from the audience roaring all around the stadium overjoyed the announcement.

“Yes, we are very pleased. Now for the second announcement, to keep this union together, King Renaldo and I agree to continue our alliance in the form of a marriage between our eldest children,” my father announced. “Please welcome Prince Ron and Princess Madison to the stage.”

Cheers continue as we leave the sitting area and head to the stage where our fathers are waiting for us.

“Thank you, father. I am honored to serve my people and our kingdom. I am also grateful that this alliance will bring our two families together as one, but I also have an announcement to make. You see, when I turn sixteen this contract will be voided and the alliance will continue, but I will be marrying someone else. I will be marrying the one and only person who stole my heart and that is my true love, Prince Hyde Flame!” I announced.

“Madison, this is not what we discussed,” my father whispered to me.

“Father, they deserve to know,” I whispered to him.

As Hyde heard his name, he is surprised to hear it, but he walks over to me and kisses my lips showing the universe that we are in love.

“So…This means the entire universe knows we are dating,” Hyde whispered in my ear.

“Yes, but I don’t care,” I whispered to him, as I stared into his eyes.

“If you are fine with it, then I am too,” Hyde said, before kissing me again.

My father returns on stage to make a different announcement interrupting our moment.

“My people, now for the real reason you are here; the merging of two kingdoms, so I ask all of you to remain in your seats until this is over,” my father says to the crowd.

Once Father finishes his speech, the gods, goddesses, and high-level magic users stand up from their seats and wait for Master’s command. “Alright everyone this is not going to be an easy task to complete, so I want all of you to stay focused and best of luck,” Master advised.

On Master’s command, everyone flies up to space and takes positions between the two planets. Since Prince Ron and I are not in God level yet, father sent us to join the high-level magicians. We wait for the signal and the process begins.

The process of combining two planets together is like fusing two nucleuses together. It takes a lot of magic to fuse these two planets, but I am just glad it is going to be over soon. As we carefully fuse the planets together, we finally got a new home.

Once it was over, many of us felt weak and we slowly flew down to the planet.

I felt like all my magic was zapping away from me, so I teleported home to get a recharge from a healer. A healer is a person who helps restore magic to people who use magic to pass their limits, but they can also heal any kind of injury, illness, incurable diseases, and they have many more amazing skills that I cannot wait to see them master.

Once I felt better, I teleported back to the stadium to see the rest of the event.

“That sure was exhausting, Ron please help me up,” I plea trying to get up.

“Oh sure,” Prince Ron said quickly, coming to my aid.

“Thanks Ron, you can be helpful when you want to be,” I complimented trying to stand.

“It is all part of my charm,” Prince Ron teased.

“Right, oh before you go you dropped something on stage,” I said fooling him.

“Oh, I better get it then,” Prince Ron, said heading to center stage.

He walks back on stage and bends down to look for what I told him to find. Without him looking, I push on the remote to activate the fireworks. In a matter of seconds, Prince Ron is flying through the sky and crashing lands in the middle of the crowd. I laughed so hard, but I left before my father caught me.

I teleported home and head straight to the prophecy room. It is only a room where prophecies of the royal family are hung, and future ones keep changing depending on what course they might take. One prophecy always catches my eye, the one that defeats evil and has a future with someone she can love. I started to get a bit sleepy after reading mine so many times and was about to head out, but I realized I still had Prince Bakura’s letter in my pocket. Since I was alone for a few more minutes, I thought I would read his letter.

My dearest Madison,

I am sorry if I surprised you at the stadium, but I did want to see you. I know this sounds crazy, but since our first meeting two weeks ago, I have fallen in love with you. I do not know why my heart desires you. I know your heart belongs to someone else, but I hope that one day you will love me. I cast a spell on this letter to erase any feelings you have for me, so you can be with the one you love. I will always love you.

After I finished reading his letter, I broke into tears. I do not know why I am crying over someone I barely know, but something about him seems so familiar to me. I know I love Hyde, and always will, but something tells me, maybe I should love him too. I kept thinking about both of them that I did not even notice my father coming in and I hid the letter in my pocket.

“Ah-ha, I thought I might find you here. Care to explain the fireworks?” father asked joining me.

“How did you know it was me?” I asked, "Trying to sound innocent.

“Darling, I am your father and I know you better than you think you know yourself. So, are you going to tell me about the fireworks show before I ground you,” father warned.

“I am sorry father. I despise him so much for thinking he can be part of our family when he is not someone we want in our family. He is always hitting girls and trying to defeat me in tournaments. I thought If I pulled this trick, then he would learn his lesson and that is why I put fireworks in his pants,” I confessed to my father.

“Well, thank you for telling me the truth,” father replied calmly.

“You are not going to punish me?” I asked, confused.

“No, I am not going to punish you this time, but do it again and I will take away your magic for a year,” father warned me.

“Yes, father, I promise,” I replied a little afraid of his warning.

“Good. Now is there anything else you wish to speak about before seeing your mother?” father asked ready to leave.

“Yes, father. I was going to wait after the school race to tell you, but-” I began to say a bit nervous.

“Tell me what?” My father asked.

“Hyde and I are joining the SPY Academy while attending Star Academy.”

“Huh, when did you decide this?”

“About a year ago, since Hyde and I are of age to join the first year and mother gave me permission,” I confessed.

“Oh, you are so clever.”

“Thank you. You are not upset?”

“No, this is simply a new adventure for you to explore, but I would have liked you to continue your lessons before exploring the galaxy, but as long as you are careful and keep your identity a secret then I have no choice, but accept it.”

“Thank you, father. Don’t worry; it has all been taken care of,” I said, hugging him.

“Good, but you also have to keep up your grades in both schools, and my sister is going to enjoy punishing you for your bad grade,” father warned.

“Don’t worry father, I will never let that happen,” I said, excited.

“Good, now we better go see your mother before she worries,” father said.

“Yes, let’s go,” I said happy we cleared a few things up.

My father and I left the room to get ready for the party.

I am so happy to have such amazing guardians because they are kind enough to get things ready ahead of time. I went to my closet to put on my midnight blue gown with star constellations around the dress and matching heels with yellow stars in the middle. Then I went to my vanity table to style my hair down with two-star hair clips to hold back my bangs. Lastly, I put on my choker with my color star on it and with matching earrings.

Once I am finished getting dressed, my guardians kindly escort me down the stairs where my father and mother are waiting for us to head to the ballroom. My parents and I arrived to the ballroom waiting for the announcer to present us to our guests.

“Ladies and gentlemen, May I present our ruler King Samuel Star and his family! Our King Samuel Star with his beloved wife, Queen Emily Star. Next, they are followed by their beloved children, first being our darling triplets, Princess Madison, Princess Catherine, and Prince Jason. Next are Princess Alexandra and her brother Prince Alexander, followed by Princess Chloe with her brother Prince Cole, Princess Samantha with her brother Prince Samuel, and finally we have the young triplets, Princess Sakura, Prince Lee, and Prince Joey!”

“Thank you all for coming, on behalf of my family, we welcome all of you to the celebration ball of our new kingdom, so please enjoy yourselves!” Father shouted at our guests.

After my father’s announcement, I went straight to find Hyde to begin the first dance. At first, he did not want to dance, but since I whispered something in his ear about what we might do later, he caved in and started dancing with him. I love dancing with him to the waltz because it makes every moment with him so romantic.

As we were dancing, I noticed my father and King Renaldo leaving the ballroom, so I decided to follow them. Hyde tags along with me, continuing to follow my father through the halls, and we end up in the library. We hid behind one of the bookshelves to listen in their conversation.

“Why did you ask me here my friend?” My father asked King Renaldo.

“I asked you here to discuss the marriage contract between our children.”

“I am listening.”

“I am talking about how your daughter humiliated my son announcing the marriage contract will be voided once she turns sixteen and marry that Flame boy instead.”

“Well, I cannot force my daughter to marry someone she does not love and I will not take away her happiness. The contract is to protect my niece from the public eye while she receives treatment.”

“That might be true, but what about the alliance?”

“It will still be active so long as we are alive.”

“I do hope you are right.”

“Let’s go,” I whispered to Hyde.

Hyde and I return to my room to process what we have heard.

“That was way too much to handle.”

“I agree, but what are you going to do now since you are technically engaged to Ron.”

“I do not know, but I do know I will always love you and you will always be my future.”

“I love you too. I never thought my girlfriend can be a handful.”

“How did I end up with the most amazing boyfriend ever?”

“It is because I love you and the only one who can handle you.”

“You are such a charmer, my little hot head. How about we call it a night, we do have busy days ahead and we need to rest.”

“Alright, good night my sweet princess,” Hyde says, as he kisses my cheek.

“Good night, my hot head,” I say, kissing his cheek back.

Once Hyde left, I quickly slipped into my pajamas and went straight to sleep. It was hard at first because I have this strange feeling I have lost something or someone important and I am not sure what it was. Without thinking about it, I dozed off into a deep sleep.
