Chapter 9:
WRZ
⌊ Hero.
I didn't care much about it.
I just wanted a normal life.
Nothing else matters.
But that was the problem.
They were annoying.
Every day, there is always a fight break loose between heroes.
Weren't you all supposed to be fighting evil?
A villain, or some kind.
Why did you all fight your kind?
Were you only chasing fame?
No. I finally know the truth. He told me how heroes work.
It was sickening. Now, I want them dead.
I want them erased from the world.
I wanted them... ⌋
Wiwin: "Seiza? Are you finally calm down?"
Seiza: "Huh?"
Tasyah: "You stop crying and start daydreaming. What's wrong?
As I tidied up the living room with Harold, I heard the girls talking.
Seiza: "I... I don't know what's wrong with me. My mind is starting to care about the heroes. I want them dead. It was strange."
All of us are shocked. We looked at Seiza, and I knew for a fact that we were concerned about Seiza's mental state right now.
I quickly dashed to her. "Seiza! Seiza! You have to be honest! What does your mind feel like? Is it like you're thinking more clearly, like an Aura Intensity user used their power against you? Or something affecting your brain since you're just using your power now?"
"I don't know, Zeed. I couldn't pinpoint what's wrong with me."
We went silent. Harold strolled up to us and said, "Seiza... Did you just?"
"Why are you so shocked, Harold?"
Tasyah was next to ask, "Seiza, you just..."
"You too, Tasyah. What's wrong with you people?"
I was the one who answered first, "You always called me Deez. Even mistaking me with Harold and Jordan."
Harold was next, "You called me Ronald, and also mistook me with Jordan and Zeed."
Seiza didn't understand what we were talking about. She was so confused.
Tasyah was the last to answer, "You always call me Lala, Sei."
Seiza then asked, "Really? All three of you? How about Wiwin? Did I mistake her too?"
Wiwin answered, "No. You always called me correctly."
That didn't make Seiza calm down. She was freaking out. She wanted to scream, but Tasyah and Wiwin stopped her.
"Wasn't that cool? I fixed her."
I heard a familiar voice. His voice was so loud that it made me jolt a little bit.
"Zeed, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good. Sorry for surprising you, Harold."
Then he started to talk again, "Keeping a secret from your team, huh? You're turning into me a little bit. I'm proud."
I was trying to ignore him, but he kept talking.
"I made a discovery. Wanna hear it?"
I had no choice, didn't I?
"Great... Listen here! Remember that one time we accidentally trespassed on a construction site? I found out that the building has been built. It was an interesting building. I will get inside and give you new information about it."
I snapped into reality by a clap in front of my face.
"Uwaa! What was that for?"
"You're daydreaming, meaning you have a secret. Spit it out", Wiwin exclaimed.
I wanted to explain it, but I knew he would shut me down again...
"I talked with Jordan via his aura seed inside of me."
... Wait, what? He forced me to tell the truth?
"I wasn't there anymore, you dumb-dumb. Why would I force you to shut up?"
They immediately turned against me.
"What? You still sided with that traitor?" Seiza was furious. I couldn't blame her.
"Sorry, Seiza. He forced me to speak. It's hard to control yourself when a living aura is lingering inside your body."
"You don't say."
I didn't even want this to happen. It just... happened.
"Aww... won't you miss me if I didn't have a connection with you?"
"Can't you just shut that aura thingy?"
Jordan and Wiwin's words blend in. I wasn't sure who said what.
"What did you say?"
They both answered at the same time again.
"Won't you miss me if I didn't have a connection with you?"
"Can't you just shut that aura thingy inside you?"
I snapped and screamed, "SHUT UP, JORDAN! I wasn't talking to you!"
Wiwin was concerned and said, "Maybe you should think about solving this problem first, Zeed. It wouldn't be productive if Jordan kept on talking inside your head, right?"
She was right.
"She's right."
I had to be disconnected from Jordan ASAP.
"I have to strengthen our connection so you won't force a disconnect."
I hate you, Jordan.
"I love you too, Zeed."
"Sure. I'll try to come up with a solution. You guys do whatever you need to do."
Seiza stood up and grabbed my left hand. "What about me? What should I do? I shouldn't be here! I..."
"Calm down, Seiza. Calm down." It was better to let her rest. I couldn't risk her being stressed like this. "Look. Why don't you spend the noon together with Tasyah? It will calm you down."
Seiza calmed down a little bit. "Right... Right, a noon with Tasyah. It will be alright."
I panned my head toward Tasyah. "Think you can handle her?"
"Of course."
I strolled to her and whispered, "And if you can, please be on guard when she accidentally uses her powers. Note down some of the things the power can and can't do. We have to be prepared."
"Sure thing!" She gave me a thumbs-up while whispering back.
That was taken care of. Now on to Jordan's problem.
"Aww... You're thinking about me."
"Shut up, Jordan."
I went to my room and actually locked the door this time. I had to focus on this task. I had no time to play around. He wouldn't stop until I shut him down completely. I had to...
"Hey, you don't need to spit out every monologue into your brain. You know? I can hear your thoughts. It was so loud."
... Ignored. I needed to brainstorm a solution. I had to find a way.
"... I didn't realize you were this annoying inside. I'm starting to feel regret for connecting with your thoughts."
