In the morning, as Yuki sat at the dining table eating breakfast, he asked Mika to pass him the bread. Instead of handing it over, Mika started teasing him. Annoyed, Yuki used his powers to pull the bread toward himself. But the moment he did, the bread instantly burned to ashes. Everyone at the table s8tared in absolute shock. Even Yuki himself was completely stunned.
Unable to process what had just happened, Yuki quickly left the table and stepped outside since it was already time to head to the academy. As he walked, he grumbled to himself, "What the heck was that? The bread just burned... man, this sucks. What is wrong with my head?"
While lost in his thoughts, he ran into Kazuya.
"Oh, hey Kazuya! It feels like it's been ages!" Yuki called out.
Kazuya looked at him, slightly puzzled. "What do you mean, 'ages'? I just saw you the other day with Masaru."
"Where?" Yuki asked."In that forest," Kazuya replied.
Yuki frowned. "Which forest? Wait, you don't know?"
Yuki then explained everything that had happened there. After listening to the whole story, Kazuya simply nodded. "Oh. So that's what happened."
Yuki sighed, his voice laced with disappointment. "Wow, I'm really let down by your reaction. Didn't you find any of this strange?"
Kazuya paused for a moment to think before replying, "Look at it this way, Yuki. As people grow older, their needs change. Take guys our age, for example—we just want to play sports and have fun. But look at the elderly. All they want is for someone to care for them. They don't want to be disliked. They just want to spend the final moments of their lives in peace with their families. When they are neglected and hated instead, a deep sense of resentment builds up inside them. Plus, they lose the ability to usetheir powers effectively, which is why their own families start treating them like a burden."
Yuki’s eyes widened. "Yeah, you're right. That old man said something exactly like that. It's the same thing... but wait, did you already know about this beforehand?"
Kazuya nodded. "Yeah, I've heard about it. But anyway... it's fine. Forget it."today,a new student arrived in their class. The sensei introduced the girl, whose name was miyuki yumeko
Leaning over, Yuki whispered into Tatsuya's ear, "Hey, isn't that the girl who came to your shop?"
Tatsuya tried to recall her face. "I don't really remember," he said. "Didn't you wash the dishes that day? Maybe you remember her better."
Yuki shot him a look. "Alright, fine, I washed the dishes. You don't have to keep reminding me!"Tatsuya chuckled. "How could I not?"
Yuki immediately turned to Tatsuya. "Look at that, she's sitting next to Masaru."
Tatsuya looked back at Yuki, raising an eyebrow. "Why? Do you have a problem with that?
Yuki leaned his head back onto his desk, resting it lazily. "Why would I care?"
"Then why are you babbling so much?" Tatsuya countered.
As Yumeko took her seat next to Masaru, Masaru politely asked for her name. But while Yumeko was talking to him, Yuki called out to Masaru from across the room. "Hey, Masaru! Have you forgotten about us already?"
Yumeko turned around to look at Yuki. She blinked a few times, trying to place his face. "Wait... I've seen you somewhere before. Where was it?
Tatsuya chimed in, helpfully reminding her. "Oh yeah, you saw him washing dishes."
Masaru looked between them, completely confused. "What dishes?"
Yuki immediately played dumb. "Yeah, exactly, what dishes? Who washed them?"
Tatsuya went ahead and explained the whole story anyway. Hearing the truth, Masaru burst out laughing.
Yuki’s face flushed with irritation. "Alright, alright, it's not that funny! Let's go, we need to train. Sensei is supposed to teach us a new power today."
Masaru stopped laughing and looked ahead. "Where? Sensei isn't even here."
Tatsuya looked around. "I have no idea where he went."
"I'll go find him. He's probably outside," Yuki said.
Yuki went out to look for his teacher. As hewent."
. As he searched the area, he spotted Sensei deep in conversation with a woman.
In this scene, we see Sensei in deep conversation with the mysterious woman.
"You should try speaking with the village chief," Sensei suggested.
Onna looked at him. "Could you give me his address?"
Sensei quickly scribbled something down on a piece of paper and handed it over. "Here you go."
"Thank you," she replied, taking the note.
Curious, Sensei asked, "If you don't mind me asking... who exactly are you?"Onna turned around, her gaze calm and serene. "I am Hikaru." With those words, she turned and walked away.
Just as she left, Yuki stepped out from his hiding spot and approached his teacher. "Hey, Sensei! Who was that lady?"
Sensei jumped slightly, surprised to see yuki
"Yuki! What are you doing here?"
"What are you doing here?" Yuki countered, raising an eyebrow.
"That lady wanted to speak with the village chief," Sensei explained, brushing off the question.
"Why?" Yuki asked.
"I have no idea," Sensei replied.
Yuki frowned. "Well, that's weird."
Sensei gave Yuki a firm pat on the shoulder, ushering him along. "Alright, Yuki, enough questions. Get back to class."
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming, Sensei," Yuki grumbled.
Back at the training ground, it was finally time for their lesson. Today, Sensei was going to teach them a completely new way to channel their abilities.Addressing the entire class, Sensei called for their attention. "Listen up, everyone! Today, I am going to teach you about _Image Power_. In short, you will learn how to manifest whatever you picture in your imagination into physical reality."
