Chapter 0:

Hideo Miyamoto, The Celestial Hero.

No Salvation for a failed hero.

in a decrepit cabin hides an enigmatic figure, surviving in the middle of nowhere. surrounded by the juvenile forest and the wildlife of the Arbulehan Continent.

the twenty-nine years old Hideo with an unrecognizable figure. his face covered by shame and facial hair that grows like the roots of his agony. a soulless figure once known as the hero of the century. a hero one of a kind.

the man in question failed to save his world. in the final battle for survival, among the six chosen heroes who fought that day. he was the only hero who left running scare. running away afraid of death and neglecting his responsibility. his companions died as Heros that day. Hideo on the other hand was branded a traitor and a failure.

is said that on her final breath Hero Queen Catherynne was able to open multiple portals all around the world in order to save the remaining humans. the survivors found themselves in a different world after crossing. a safe world far away from the conquest.

after a decade some of the survivors had adapted to the new world. it was hard as they were the only 'humans' in this new world. a world populated by monsters, elves, fairies, and more. there is a local species similar to humans but with some minor differences.

and for a decade, in isolation has lived the former hero. as he was denied of any redemption after abandoning humanity for his own survival, or at least that is what is said about him. people avoid him and some even attack him.

there isn't much information out there about what really happened that day. and most people avoid that topic as it is a painful reminder of their pain. the loved ones that suffered a painful meaningless death at the hands of a brutal & cruel force.

going back to our failed hero. Hideo lives in a continent that is seventy-five percent forest. nobody dares to live in the forest as it is the home to wild dangerous animals. only Hideo will dare to live at the heart of the most lethal continent.

now as we speak. different people with different objectives are walking towards the forest. all of them need or want to meet Hideo for different reasons, some sinister and others noble. I myself am one of those people. my name is Merced Benitez. and I am going after the hero. I am going to use his help to save my clan. I am not fully 'human.' but I am close enough.

my team consists of four people. I am the only half-human. all the information I had shared is based on the only records left about 'the Great Fall.' I had study everything about Hideo. he is the hero I need to save my people. he is my last resort.

I walk around the dangerous forest with my team carefully. then I see it. the cabin is just as it was described by a witness. it seems haunted and decrepit. maybe there was a divine entity out there that guide me to this moment. all my struggles depend on this moment. it almost feels as if it was my fate to be the one to find the lost hero.

I won't lie. I am scared actually. I am shaking.

one of my teammates makes a comment. I don't understand what he meant by that. I turn around just to be stabbed in the stomach. I fall wounded on the ground.

a traitor decapitates my lover in seconds. then he snaps the neck of my best friend. it is just me left wounded and bleeding out. I am scared. I am confused. what is happening. why? Why? WHY? I don't seem to find the reason behind the betrayal.

I am bleeding out. I don't want to die. I am too young. there is a lot left for me to do. I just wanted to save my loved ones. I drag myself on the ground. a red trail left behind. the steps of the traitor sound firm and heavy. the echo is just another element of the horror. I am dying.

then out of nowhere a shadow appears in front of me. a figure that I had never seen before, but I could feel it deep in my bones. it was him. it was the legendary disgraceful hero. in the flesh standing right in front of me. I am dying, but maybe I can save my people.

"No. don't even think about it, kid." the voice of the Hero sounded serene with a touch of sadness and melancholy. there is a deep emptiness in his eyes. shallow seems to be the reflection on the eyes of the man once known as the hero. the greatest hero of a stolen generation.

oh Father, forgive me. your child has failed.

I don't feel so good. I only remember how he finished the traitor in seconds. he slightly touched the stomach of the traitor and that was enough. he was gone forever.

the hero takes me in his arms. he takes me inside of his cabin. I know I should be worried as I am just a child and he is a man. but something about his melancholy makes me believe that he is going to protect me, and care for me till my last breath.

he holds my hand. I am begging him to save my people. his eyes look even more empty than before as he holds my hand tightly. he whispers some words. with teary eyes he asks his Gods for me to have a peaceful rest. I feel like my time gets shorter.

"I am sorry child. I am no Hero. I am just a coward. is a shame, it is. that you had to die trying to find someone who isn't worth it."

and just like that my time runs out. that was it. I am unsure if my people will be saved. is hard to think clearly as my mind becomes blank in seconds.
