Chapter 1:

Trapped

Trapped Reincarnation: Stuck in The Character I Hate

I was just hit by a truck...it just HAD to hit me didn't it?

Ever since my body realized the impact of the truck, time appears to have stood still, which has given me time to think about my current predicament.

What even lead to me getting hit in the first place? Lets see here...I was up late playing a game...then I was crossing the street on the way to school. I think that I was running late as I slept in. Wait, wasn't today the last day of school? Attendance was optional, I didn't even need to go...Well this sucks...

During these thoughts, time appeared to slowly begin moving once again, and I finally was able to see something other than the sky

Oh! It looks like I can see things playing out now! Let's see here. How did I get hit right in front of my house? And how has my body not hit the ground yet!? How hard was I hit!? Well at least I am not really feeling anything.

Right after thinking that, the pain began to set in and I regretted thinking that. Despite the pain being indescribable, I would describe it as painful yet not all encompassing as for some reason my mind was in full clarity

I...I really don't think that I can survive this...

I am certainly dead.

I guess getting hit by a car is a common death after all. Being hit by someone who was not paying attention to the road and went straight through the clear red light at the pedestrian crosswalk

Surprisingly, I manage to look around with very little effort and I manage to see my body in a, let's say, an indescribable state. despite being separated from my body, it still feels like my body is still with me if that makes any sense.

Since I am dead, then I am guessing that this is my soul. Hmm, I should have got ready for the day and worn something else...I really hope that this is not permanent.

I was wearing my pyjamas, an old t-shirt and pants that had seen many long years of use to the point that the seams were coming undone. During my long inner thoughts I noticed that something strange began occurring to my spirit-like form.

Something isn't right, everything is getting smaller, am I rising?

Suddenly, I was shot up at great and increasing velocity.

Everything is...getting dark

Eventually I drifted off to a dreamless sleep, only to awaken to a wholly different sight. It was a room I had never been in before, one that was far too nice for my meagre lifestyle to live in. The room was lined with golden fabrics, as well as pristine stone bricks and the room was windowless. There were pillars that had to be made by the greatest stone smiths imaginable reached all the way up to the high ceiling.

What is this? Some sort of after-death vision? I should have really cut back on the medieval fantasy stories...

Then my head looks down upon the extravagant red textured carpet, lined with golds and blacks given even further intricate details. Despite the outstanding presence that was the room itself, clearly the most noticeable thing in the room was someone with their hands behind their back kneeling on the carpet with a look of absolute terror.

"Please Master! I am innocent! It was Count Ryuuka! He schemed which sent those men to your doorstep!" The man on the carpet pleaded, with the fear not befitting of the noble like appearance he should have had with the military garments he wore.

"silence"

Silence showered over the room, causing a stillness as if time had stopped once more, yet I could tell this time, time was moving. That word had uttered out of my own mouth, which was silent, yet spoke louder than anything I had heard before. Yet I know I did not say that, in fact, I did not know that my mouth had opened on it's own.

"you knew that those peasants were revolting, yet you did nothing to stop the plotting did you?"

Wait, why is my mouth moving on it's own? What is my body talking about?

"What are you talking about!? I only know that it was Count Ryuuka, we captured and interrogated him! Then we stopped the revolt only after it began! IT is all according to the contract i made with you!" The noble man argued and was even crying at this point.

"Do you have any other evidence other than the useless words that spew out of your mouth?" The voice that has been speaking out of my mouth has been far to calm and nonchalant about the current situation, yet the softness of his words carry a great deal of utter terror.

"Master! I am telling you as it is! You told me to do this! I am-WE are innocent! Please they have nothing to do with this!" The noble man shouts again, hoping not to be lain on deaf ears.

Yet the room was once again engulfed in sheer silence, silence that spoke volumes to the discontent of whomever this noble was begging to.

Wait, who is innocent? This guy does have an aura of untrustworthiness to him and yet I think he may be innocent. Should I even be seeing this? Is this really an after-death vision?

"Please Master! PLEASE!" The noble man now had an ugly face full of tears and snot.

"[Hell Fire Hitori]". My hand began to outstretch and a bright red light began to emerge from the palm of my hand and cover the room. Each moment brought more and more faces of fear on the noble begging man's face. By instinct, I knew what was about to occur, I knew how to stop it, I simply had to say [Dispel], or move or do something other than to be an observer.

Yet no matter what I did I could not move.

"Wait Master Prick! I Can-"

Before the noble man could finish speaking, he was engulfed in a deep red velvet fire. His screams echoed throughout the room along with the screams of the dammed. This continued until only a charred husk of a man remained, which was then blown away to dust with a swift uncontrolled movement of my hand . After seeing my hand move like that on it's own like that I was finally confirmed of my suspicions and was horrified of the implications.

After dying, I had been sent to another world. It was not any world but a world based on one of my favourite games, "Night of Unbroken Fates" and I was the final boss character that was inspired by my in game character.

I had entered the body of the final boss known as "Prick the Thief". Which was a character I did not like as it was character assassination at its finest, for in game I was known as the Silent Collector Pick and what is what that disgrase of a copy is meant to be based off of.
