After leaving the clinic, Aoi returned to her house.
Meanwhile, Shiro and Yūto also returned to Haruka's house.
At Haruka's house...
"Finally. We're here," Shiro said.
Yūto remained silent.
"Hey, Yūto... Yūtooo..." Shiro called out to Yūto, who was lost in thought.
"Ah. Yeah. What's up, Shiro?"
"What are you thinking about? Give me Aunt Haruka's motorcycle key. I'll ask my friends to get her motorcycle."
"Ah. Right. I forgot that I left it at Mount Nokogiri."
"It's okay. I hid it before we left Mount Nokogiri this morning. It should be fine."
"Thank you, Shiro..."
"No problem."
A few hours later...
Shiro's friends, whom he'd asked for help, finally returned.
"Shiro, this is the motorcycle, right?" one of them said.
Shiro nodded.
"Thanks."
"Yeah. No problem. We're leaving now."
Shiro nodded.
"Thank goodness her motorcycle is back..." Shiro said with a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness..." Yūto said.
In the afternoon, Haruka arrived home.
"Yūto! Shiro! What actually happened? Why couldn't I reach either of you? And why is your body covered in bandages, Yūto?"
"It's a long story..." Shiro muttered quietly.
"Explain everything to me. Did you two get into a fight?"
Yūto interrupted her.
"Ah. No, Aunt Haruka."
"Don't lie, Yūto! I know you're not good at lying..."
Shiro quickly interrupted her.
"No, Aunt Haruka. Yūto was hit by a car last night while he was going to buy a drink at the festival. I happened to see it happen. That's why I took him to the clinic."
"Why didn't you call me?!"
"There wasn't enough time. I panicked when I saw Yūto injured," Shiro answered calmly.
"Is that really true? If it is, then show me some proof that you actually went to the clinic because of the accident."
Shiro then showed her the clinic report.
"Here's the report from the clinic. You can check it yourself if you don't believe me."
The report stated that Yūto was the victim of a hit-and-run accident.
A few hours earlier...
"Excuse me, may I know what happened to this young man? We need the information for our report," the doctor at the clinic said.
"Umm... He—" Aoi hadn't finished answering when Shiro appeared.
"He was in an accident. He was hit by a car at the Samurai Festival. I witnessed it."
At present...
"That makes sense. Get some rest, Yūto. Don't go out too much," Haruka said.
"Thank you, Aunt Haruka."
Haruka nodded.
"I'm going to take a shower and go out for a while. Shiro, come with me and help me, okay?"
"Alright, Aunt Haruka."
Haruka then went into her room.
"Shiro, you're really good at lying," Yūto whispered,.
"I had no choice. Don't do anything reckless again, Yūto."
Meanwhile, in America...
"This is the last hideout. "The Think" should be inside. Are you ready?" David said.
"I'm ready..." William said.
David and William entered a large and luxurious house in Brooklyn, America.
Through the earpieces they were wearing, Torino spoke to them.
"Enter through the side door. After that, you'll find a room. Open the door on the right. It'll lead you to the kitchen. Then keep going until you reach the garden, and turn left. That's where the main room is."
"Thanks, Torino," David said.
"Hey! Why won't you let me help?!" Targyan shouted from beside Torino.
"Hey! Keep your voice down, Gorilla! You're going to make my ears bleed," William said.
"Targyan, for now, you need to stay hidden. If the situation gets worse, then you can help us," David said.
"Damn it!" Targyan muttered.
David and William continued walking slowly through the quiet night.
A few moments later, they reached a garden.
"We've reached the garden. So the main room should be on the left, right?" David said.
"Yes. You're right," Torino said.
The two of them continued walking slowly.
Torino noticed something on the CCTV camera.
"You two, be careful! Something very fast is coming toward you from behind!"
David and William immediately turned around.
A man appeared from the darkness behind them.
In an instant, he rushed forward and attacked William.
Pow!
William managed to block the attack, but the force of the punch sent him flying into the wall.
Crash!
Dust filled the air and covered William's body.
"William!" David shouted.
The man stood calmly.
"You two little rats have entered the snake's nest! How dare you!"
David clenched his fists.
"Torino, is he alone?"
"The good news is that he's alone. But the bad news is that there are many of their men guarding the outside of the house."
David looked at the man standing in front of him.
"Just one man," David muttered.
David smiled slightly.
""The Mad Dog"... Let's finish this quickly..." David muttered.
