People slowly backed away.Some were terrified.
Others couldn't take their eyes off her.
A police officer raised his weapon.
"Don't move!"Miyu didn't answer.
She simply stood there.The butterflies continued flying around her.
Then someone noticed the defeated S-rank villain lying nearby."She defeated him..."
"What?""That's an S-rank villain!"
"She defeated him by herself?!"The crowd became even more frightened.
Nobody understood what had happened.
Nobody knew what kind of ability could defeat an S-rank villain so quickly.
The cameras continued recording everything.Millions of people watching the broadcast saw the same thing.

The only thing the world knew was what they had witnessed.The mysterious villain had appeared.

Inside the heroes' headquarters, several large screens displayed the footage.Akari Hoshizora stood silently in front of them.
She stared at the mysterious figure.Black butterflies.
Purple energy.A dark cloak.
A face hidden by shadows."Who is she?" Akari asked.
A hero beside her shook his head."We don't know."
"Her name?"
"Unknown."
"Her age?"
"Unknown."
"Her ability?"
"Unknown."
Akari looked at the defeated S-rank villain."And she defeated an S-rank enemy?"
"Yes."
Akari's expression became serious.
"Then we have another dangerous villain."
She continued watching the screen.
But something didn't make sense.Why would someone powerful enough to defeat an S-rank enemy reveal herself so openly?
And why had she appeared after the incident?Akari couldn't understand it.

The footage quickly spread across the internet.People began giving the mysterious villain different names.
The Black Butterfly.
The Purple Phantom.
The Butterfly Villain.
The Unknown Villain.Nobody knew her real name.
Nobody knew her identity.
And that only made the rumors spread faster.
"She's probably SSS-rank!""Maybe she's even stronger than SSS!"
"She must have been hiding her power for years!""Could she destroy the entire city?"
"Why did she defeat another villain?"Nobody knew the truth.
The world saw a dangerous villain.But behind that terrifying appearance was simply a twelve-year-old girl.

Miyu's Secret
Far away from the square, Miyu watched the news on a small screen.Her mysterious appearance was being shown again and again.
She listened to the reporters.
She heard people calling her dangerous.
Some even called her a monster.
Miyu quietly smiled.
"Good."
That was exactly what she wanted.
She needed Akari to believe it too.
If the world thought Miyu was dangerous, nobody would suspect that she was secretly trying to protect the heroine.Miyu looked at the black butterfly resting on her finger.

She lowered her head.

A faint smile appeared on her face.

By the end of the day, almost everyone had heard about the mysterious villain.Children talked about her at school.
Adults discussed her on the streets.Reporters searched for her identity.
Heroes began investigating her.The police searched for clues.
But they found nothing.No name.
No clear photograph.
No information about her past.
Nothing.The only thing left behind was a single black-and-purple butterfly.
From that day forward, whenever people saw a black butterfly in the city, they remembered the mysterious villain.The girl whose identity was unknown.

Some saw a tall figure.
Others saw someone much shorter.
Even the shape of her face seemed to change depending on who was looking at her.

A police officer stared at her in confusion.
"Is that a man?"
Another officer looked at the mysterious figure.
"No. She's a girl."
"What are you talking about? I clearly saw a boy!"
The people around them began arguing.
"I saw a woman!"
"No, it was a man!"
"I saw a girl!"
Nobody could agree.
Even the cameras couldn't provide a clear answer.
The recordings showed the same strange distortion.
Whenever someone tried to focus on the villain's appearance, black-and-purple butterflies seemed to move across the image.
Her face became blurred.
Her body seemed to change.
Even her voice sounded different to different people.
Sometimes it sounded male.
Sometimes female.
Sometimes young.
Sometimes strangely mature.
The reporters were completely confused.
"Why can't we determine the villain's gender?"
"Is this an illusion ability?"
"Could the villain be manipulating our perception?"
Nobody knew the answer.
But Miyu knew the truth.
