All I want to know is the truth

It has been a week since the war, everything seems to be going well for the kingdom of Eglatine. But still, who was responsible for the Queen's death? Each day the Queen spirit comes to train Kuro, he keeps asking her who was it but she refused to tell him, leaving him in confusion, "wouldn't she want vengeance on whoever caused her death? why won't she tell me?" Kuro thought to himself.

The next day, the people came infront of his castle complaining about how he doesn't care about his people's need. Confused, when it was his usual one hour dailly meeting with the Queen, he asked her.

Kuro: they said that I wasn't caring enough about them, isn't protecting them the only thing I'm supposed to do for them to love me?

Queen: well Kuro, unlike where you are coming, the royal family is supposed to care for the people too, showing them affection, care and love.

Kuro: you can't be serious! You cannot expect me to care about a hundred thousands people!

Queen: oh Kuro, you still have a lot to learn.

Kuro: like fighting with this weak powers isn't hard enough, I'm supposed to be a father to everyone now?

Queen: first of all, it isn't the power that matters, but the wisdom you have to use it. Second of all, it's about helping those in need and showing equality....

Kuro: hold on, what do you mean "showing equality?"

Queen: well, people were scared to tell you this but, you shouldn't be eating meat or anything coming from animals....

Kuro: WHAT?!?!?! HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!?!?! WHY WOULD I DO THAT????? THE PEOPLE AREN'T EVEN ANIMALS OR HALF ANIMALS!!!

Queen: but they have their powers, so they share some of its feelings.

Kuro: WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WITH THE CARNIVORE ANIMALS THAT NEED MEAT TO SURVIVE?! WHAT ABOUT THEM?!

Queen: well Kuro, ruling Eglatine is very difficult, not only because it's the weakest kingdom in the Agate world, but because almost everyone is different because of the power of the animals they're born with. The only thing bringing us all together is the ruler that we are serving, so it's for you to show them that they are all equal in your sight Kuro. 

Kuro: this is ridiculous, now I'm giving up on my meal because of "Equality" what will I give up next? My peace? I shouldn't have made such a foolish promise, it's was better I stayed in the forest of Thesaurussia at least I did whatever I wanted and I had my friend.

Queen: Kuro, please don't say that. I know it seems tough but I know that you can do it.

Kuro: it's all your fault, you knew how difficult it is but you still asked me of all people to do this? Stress will kill me before the bounty hunters will.

Before the Queen could say anything, Kuro left the room, he left the crown too so that she won't be with him.  Kuro misses Tomoka, his one and only friend and the one that he cares about that is alive. How will he deal with all of this issues? How can he do that?

The next day, Kuro decided to be the "caring" king people are asking for. He gave money to the poor, on condition that they get a job, like they say "don't give a man fish but teach him how to qfish" while he's "compassionate" about the poor, he's well aware of those people who use sympathy to get free money instead of working for it. He also told his cook to stop bringing meat or any animal products from outside so he'll eat vegan food. Then he went to visit the sick people at the hospital but Kuro saw something shocking "A Thesaurussian healer??" He exclaimed. The girl's name is Sana yuki, she's a person who got the gift of healing. Kuro asked her with guards surrounding her.

Kuro: what are you doing here? Isn't helping someone from another kingdom considered betrayal and worthy of death?

Sana: oh please nobody knows, besides I give people healing and I earn a lot of money. Only few people fall sick in Thesaurussia and I want to be rich before next year. 

Kuro: true, but I'm keeping an eye on you. 

When Sana returned back to Thesaurussia, she told Tomoka where Kuro went too.

Kuro was exhausted after this day, "people love me but at what cost" he asked himself "how long is this going to last and if so what do I do?" He still refused to talk to the Queen, he hates her and himself for this mess of a life he put himself into.

The next day, the guards woke him up saying "THE FOREST IS BURNING!!!" Kuro and he's royal guards rushed towards the area, but the smoke was too much and fire extinguisher was pointless, the fire goes and comes. Kuro said "this is a magical fire, let me get in and see what is happening". But the guards refused saying "no my lord, let's just warn the people to leave their homes". Kuro answered them saying "I made a promise to rule and protect you, so no one is going anywhere". Before they could say anything, Kuro passed through and ran into the strange fire, until he saw the person who was responsible for this.

Kuro: Tomoka Itsoku!

Tomoka: long time no see Kuro Itoshi or should I say, my lord?

Kuro: what is the reason behind this madness?

Tomoka: you said you refused to take your blessings because of "the fear of death" but in reality you turned your back at us???? For what, to be a ruler??? Why did you do this??

Kuro: I can see your mischief Tomoka, the bounty placed on my head will be more than enough for your family to get out of poverty, am I right??

Before Tomoka could respond, Kuro chanted the words "DEVOUR THE FLESH, KING OF THE TERRESTRIAL BEAST EMPOWER ME" those are the words used to transform into the lion armour. Kuro said "I'll make you pay for this damage". 

Kuro runs at high speed to scratch her face, she dodges it and with the emotion of anger, she burns his hand. Tomoka threw flames at him, with the speed of a lion, he escapes them but finds himself surrounded by flames. Kuro then remember when he was a kid and a maid set the house on fire, the fire extinguisher had finish but he's big brother saved him by quenching some of the fire on the road with a bucket of sand so that he could save his brother. With that in mind, Kuro, with the speed of lion spins around in the sand causing the sand to pour on the fire to quench it, before she could bring it back he jumped on her holding her from behind but with her anger, her body heated up causing Kuro to have some serious injuries.

Kuro thought she was going to kill him but instead, with the emotion of happiness, she brought trees to replace the one's she burnt and medicinal herbs to cure him, "all I want to know is the truth" she said.

Seated in the forest, Kuro told her everything.

Tomoka: wow, just wow!

Kuro: what's more impressive is how fast you mastered your powers, it's only been a month and a week.

Tomoka: oh Kuro, I haven't mastered it to the fullest and with this power, all I have to do is be sad for us to have water In the house, no need to pay for water bills anymore.

Kuro: you don't know how much I missed you and, sorry for using your family's problems to attack you.

Tomoka: I missed you too and it's okay, I shouldn't have burnt your forest in the first place. Sooo, how is your life as a king?

Kuro: Stressful and lonely, can you imagine, I ate pizza with vegan cheese!!

Tomoka: hahaha oh Kuro, sacrifices must be made you know. But, I have a tree house outside the kingdom of Thesaurussia, so you can eat a good meal with me.

Kuro: oh Tomoka, what can I do without you?

They had a good time before going their separate ways. The people were glad that their home is safe and the king is alive.

One thing is sure, Kuro has to get stronger to protect himself and his people. For his fight with Tomoka will be the last friendly fight he'll ever have.
