Chapter 8:
Problems with Robots
Welcome to Utopia
The man pinned me to the ground. I struggled to get away, but the main one picked me up by my shirt, clenching it until my cheeks grew hot and red.
She let go, dropping me to the ground as I coughed. She looked around. As all of their backs were turned I pulled out the figurine and it turned into the a smoke bomb in my hands. June had made it for a situation like this.
I threw it on the ground, glitching the robots.
I didn't want to stick around. I ran as fast as I could. I ran to the nearest deli. It was closed, or closing up. The door was unlocked, so I busted through the door going into the kitchen. I knew that wouldn't work so I went through another door. I went inside, and I realized it was the freezer. The door slammed behind me.
I already felt the cold set in. My body shivering, I was about to bang on the walls, but I thought this was still better than a robot beating you to a pulp. But I don't know what I was thinking.
I threw a box at the fan that was spinning in cold air. I thought it would stop it, but instead, it hit it, making it a bit slower, but I could barely feel it. I could barely feel my hands.
There was food. So I would probably freeze before I starve. There was a giant silver door and it was too strong to send sound waves. I started to clumsily crawl to the other side of the freezer, hoping to find an escape hatch, but instead, found more storage.
By now, I was struggling to even crawl, and instead just tried to get warmed up. I emptied out the box to the best of my abilities, and crawled inside. It didn't help, so I crawled back out. I reached at the wall, banging my numb hands on it.
I thought I saw a movement, but the door wasn't opened. I could faintly hear the door open, I heard walking as I felt myself slide against the wall, my hand drooping down to the cold hard floor.
"Where is it? Where is it, child?!" she said, clenching really hard.
