Hailstorm Part 3

Emeri desperately rode down the streets on a moped, desperately trying to find Yuni. "Why can't I get a hold of her? I can't even find the tracking device she took with her. Someone or something must be jamming the signal. This isn't good, I have to find her. Where the hell could she have gone?"

Yuni trembled in terror as Melinda stood before her. "S- Superintendent... Y- You're with Illumous!?"

"Well if I'm here, then no shit she's with us," Melinda scoffed.

"Then you're the one behind all this!?"

"No shit to that too. Oh, and in case you're wondering, Fujiko's only dead in the legal sense, but her last act as Fujiko was to try and blame Madoka for "eliminating" her which is why Yumeko's here to help sell the act.""

Yuni shot Yumeko a glare of pure disgust and contempt, but remained on guard as Kurobane and Melinda began to encircle her.

"Oh, funny story since you came here. See this is the house of your fam, right? Well guess what, your fam's also the reason your mommy got caught!"

Yuni paused, but shook it off as a bluff. Melinda didn't let up though.

"Kasumi... You got a cousin named Kasumi right? Well she was the one that sold out Kabuki. I remember that night. She called us directly and told us she'd lure Kabuki out. Then when we attacked, Kabuki defended her, but she struck her from behind with a stun baton! Then much to my delight, she sliced her tongue out herself. Oh what a riot. I'd never seen Kabuki sob so much. Oh, in hindsight, guess she was sobbing cuz it meant she wouldn't be able to see ya for your birthday. What a birthday present it'd have been if we delivered you her corpse in a box, but the higher-ups wanted their pieces of flesh so to say!"

Yuni lunged at Melinda in a tearful rage. “YOU MONSTER! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO OKAA-SAN!?”

Melinda dodged with ease, as Kurobane effortlessly restrained Yuni.

"Simple, your cousin hated Kabuki. And like mother, like daughter, here's a taste of betrayal!" Melinda cackled as she shoved a stun baton into Yuni's gut.

A massive burst of electricity erupted from it and engulfed Yuni and Kurobane. Yuni let out a bloodcurdling scream as she received the massive shock, but Kurobane didn't seem to be affected in the slightest. She then lost consciousness and slumped to the ground. Her body jittered as sparks continued to course through her.

"Now let's haul her ass off to HQ... In style!" Melinda sneered as she retrieved a giant metal cross from the trunk.

As Emeri sped down the road, she passed by Kurobane's sedan. Her eyes widened as she noticed Yuni crucified on a metal cross strapped to the roof of the sedan. Kurobane also noticed Emeri and immediately began chasing after her.

Emeri darted into a narrow alleyway as Kurobane crashed the car in-between the buildings.

"Huh? Why'd you stop? Just ram through," Yumeko shrugged.

"Yumeko! We can't fit through in the car! I guess I'll take care of her. Cut her off if need be." Kurobane sighed as she got out of the car.

Kurobane began running at breakneck speed. She took a shortcut and was able to cut Emeri off. Emeri decided to just charge her. To her horror, Kurobane kicked the moped, sending her flying into the street. As she struggled to get up, Kurobane kicked her in the gut. The force sent her flying into a nearby brick wall.

"What the hell! How the hell is she this strong!? It's like I'm fighting one of my parents," Emeri thought as she slumped to the ground.

Kurobane cuffed her and slapped a piece of duct tape over her mouth just as Mochi and Bianka pulled up. "Ah, perfect timing. Take her to HQ immediately."

"A hottie? What did she do?" Bianka asked.

"She's a notorious hacker working with the Ginkawas, and also one of the reason's we're in legal hot water with Washington," Kurobane explained as she shoved Emeri in the back of the car.

"Can I flirt with her? She looks harmless enough?"

"NO! And make sure you head straight to HQ. I'll follow- Actually, I'll just hitch a ride," Kurobane stated as she sent Yumeko a message on her phone before hopping in the back of the squad car."

"You won't be escaping this time, Emeri Kuramori," Mochi stated as she gazed at Emeri.

Madoka lifted her head as she heard the door open. She had been strapped to the electric chair and had been beaten so badly that her bruises prevented her from seeing properly. “Who is it? I can’t see. My arms and legs are broken, my jaw as well. Damn it! I’m supposed to be the one who escapes, but I can’t do shit if all my bones are broken. At least Yuni’s safe. Please be safe,” she thought.

It took all of Serika’s mental fortitude to keep up her act as she stared at Madoka. “Now then, let us shame this fool, a walk around town will do. It will also be a great opportunity to begin your political campaign, Senior Commissioner Zerin.”

“Is that Serika? No, that voice is too sinister and conniving to be her. It sounds like that politician Momma always hated. Oh, that must mean I’m in hell,” Madoka thought as she physically struggled to cry.

Madoka cried as Serika and Purin paraded her through the city on a cart as Zerin began preaching Ruchi Ookuma’s propaganda. Serika was internally frustrated that Ookuma's propaganda was once again being spread, and that she had to smile as it was, however, this was all part of her gambit to save everyone. Once the group reached a riverbank, they decided to take a break just as Mochi and Bianka pulled up in their squad car.

“Midoriya, Purin, and Senior Commissioner Nakayama? What’s going on?” Kurobane asked as she exited the squad car with Emeri in tow.

“Makoto! Splendid news! This is Madam Ookuma’s daughter, Mao. She’s alive and is making a comeback!” Zerin explained.

“Apologies for my rude behavior while I had amnesia, Superintendent Kurobane. I am Mao Ookuma, the daughter of Ruchi Ookuma.”

Kurobane stared in shock. It was like she was staring at a young Ruchi Ookuma.

"Surprised she's still in one piece," Purin scoffed as she stared at Emeri.

“Splendid, you have caught another foolish woman. We will parade her with the trash as we transfer them to Guano bay,” Serika sneered.

Emeri began to cry. “This is an act right? PLEASE BE AN ACT! IT FEELS TOO REAL! It’s like I’m staring at a devil. A malicious devil that played me for a fool. WAS IT ALL A LIE!?” she thought as she closed her eyes and cried as it began hailing.

“It seems Mother nature has scorned you and your ilk," Serika sneered as she motioned for Zerin to follow her to the waterfront. “The hail pummeling the river symbolizes Mine and my dear mother’s fury against the vile fools known as the Ginkawas!”

“Indeed, while the two twin river banks symbolize the twins that will revitalize the family, and aid us as we bring prosperity to this world,” Zerin added.

"Wow, we holding a rally or something, then why not add THIS to the mix!?" Melinda sneered as she arrived and slammed the crucified Yuni before Serika and Zerin. "This here's Kabuki Dakota's secret daughter."

Serika's eyes went wide with horror as she stared at Yuni while Zerin spat on Yuni in disgust. "Stand her upright. I'm going to execute her," Zerin growled.

“MMMPH MMPH!” Emeri tearfully roared as Kurobane shoved her to the ground.

“What a fool. Does she think she can beg for her life? Makoto, punish her!”

Kurobane nodded and hoisted Emeri up by her neck. She then pulled her fist back and prepared to slug her in the face.

BOOM!

The sound of thunder rang out. However, it was actually the sound of a fist shattering a skull and killing a woman. The woman's lifeless body smashed into the concrete, cracking it, before ricocheting into the river. She was dead.
