Chapter 1:

Miracle or Coincidence?

Unrivaled Under The Sun

Day 1. "I have woken up. I don't know where I am." thought a mysterious man. He was tall but not too tall. Muscular but not a beast. Just above average. His face was handsome but not too handsome and his hair was dark brown, fluttering because of the hot, fire-like desert wind.

"The sun here is unbearing, I should try to find a place to hide myself from this beast." Thought the man. He didn't look uneasy or nervous from the first sight but he alone knew that he was scared and so he started moving fast in a straight line. He didn't know where he was heading, the only thing he knew is that if he doesn't do anything about his situation he will certainly die.

As he was running as fast as he could in the desert his feet had become red from the fire like sand and his breath started getting heavier and heavier. The sun felt like an ocean of boiling oil after a few minutes. He started getting slower and slower while his feet would sink in the sand everytime he took a step.
Half an hour or more passed and his head started hurting. His condition was getting worse and worse by every minute and he himself, deep inside knew that he wouldn't be able to survive alone. The tired man ended up passing out, naked in a desert which had no hint of life or water except a rare few lizards, scorpions, beetles, snakes and birds. The latter of whom would most likely eat him while he was still passed out.
---
Either by a miracle or a strange coincidence 12 men who were wearing grey-white loose fitting tunics and headclothes to protect their bodies from the dangerous lightbeams of the beast on top of them showed up on top of camels. One of those men stood out. He was on top of an extraordinarily large camel about three meters in height. About a meter larger than the camels the other men were riding. He was not particularly tall nor muscular but he looked like he had a well trained body.

Everyone from the group was carrying a spear but the man on top of the larger camel who was probably their leader had a decorated spear.
That man spotted our protagonist and he ordered the rest of the group to follow him. The other men followed.

When they reached the man who was lying unconscious and severely burned from the sun they checked his pulse and although weak, the man was still alive but in really bad condition. They boarded him on top of one of their camels and headed east, to the place they came from. The way they rode was elegant and fast, it would be clear even to the simplest man that those men were clearly experienced riders who have been molded by time.
----
Day 3. Two days have passed since the group of the 12 camel riders found our protagonist lying unconscious in the endless like desert dancing with death.

Now he has woken up, he is in a small room with an old wooden table and a chair in the center. On top of the table was a closed small wooden box and a few keys while on the chair was a sitting a man with an oddly familiar face.

"Good morning sunshine" said a rough voice "I am the person who found you lying half dead in the desert. I guess you should be thanking me." Said the man, while grinning weirdly.

For an unknown for now reason our protagonists seemed to understand the man who was talking to him and he could speak the language and he asked in a tired and confused voice. "Where am I?" He wasn't really skeptical about his situation. In his eyes he was saved and has been given a second chance to learn what happened before he found himself in the desert but our protagonist will soon be proven wrong.

Authors Note: Thank you for reading the first chapter a lot. For those of you who are wondering when the fantasy will start it will take a few chapters but it will be worth it.
