Chapter 1:

Mission

Heavenly Conquest: Oaths and Crowns

Averion, god of Oaths, stood amongst dozens of other gods. They all surrounded their king and ruler of heaven, Tukohae.

There was a dead silence in the Celestial Hall.

Tukohae sat on the throne, he pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly troubled by a matter known only to him.

"ATTENTION!"

His loud and thunderous voice echoed throughout the hall. He monitored the hall before continuing.

"I have a matter i have kept to myself all this time. It is a matter of great importance. "

One, could feel the air shift within the Hall as Tukohae finished the sentence. All gods knew of his power. He was respected and feared, especially after the last incident.

A fight, with his brother.

"I shan't waste our time explaining petty details. Hear me! All of you are to leave the Heavens!"

"What?"

"Did I hear it correctly?"

"What's this?"

Averion frowned, "What was that?" He muttered.

Each and every being in the Hall tensed, it was random and unheard.

"Fear not! I am not chasing you away."

He ended there and let the correction settle.

"I am sending you all on a task throughout the worlds of the universe. To search for the so called 'Heavenly Crown' My brother supposedly hid from me."

Some gods and goddesses tried to say something, to protests. But just a glancewas enough to make the retaliation disappear.

"As i said, I won't waste time on small details. The sooner you find that Crown the sooner you return to your luxurious and glorious lives."

Before even a single word could be said, "Now, on with it!"

...

..

.

"Ugh. Heavens! What is this? In my head!?"

Averion clenched his teeth, he felt something inside his head, unbeknownst to him that feeling was known as pain.

He opened his eyes wider, he could not recognise the place he was. "Is this the world i was sent to?"

Averion was well aware that he was no longer in the Heavens. Yet, strangely enough, this place felt like somewhere he could reside.

Suddenly—

THUD!

Someone bumped into him from behind, he stumbled forward and fell to his knees.

He immediately turned around.

A young man stood behind him, an aura surrounding him that he couldn't quite place and beside him stood a strong-looking man clad in armour. A symbol and crest were emblazoned across his chest.

On the other side was a woman holding several pieces of parchment.

Averion and the young man stared into each other's eyes.

'I cannot feel any divine energy from this realm, and these beings.' Averion's eyes narrowed as he thought.

'So it's true. I am on mortal lands.''

Then his gaze shifted back to the young man.

'What is this? Are mortals simply this strong? How was he able to knock me down?'

The young man raised an eyebrow.

“And you are?”

Averion clenched his jaw.

'A human. He addresses me as though I am some ordinary—'

He stopped himself.

'No. Calm down, God of Oaths. He might help you.'

Averion rose to his feet and dusted off his robes.

“I am Averion, god of Oaths. And I am here to acquire a Crown. The Crown of the—”

“Ahhh.”

The young man suddenly smiled.

“The Crown? To acquire the Crown?”

Averion blinked. “Yes. The Heavenly—”

“You must be my new advisor, no?”

The young man's smile widened.

Averion stared at him. "What?"

The armoured man and the woman, however, looked considerably less amused.

“Excellent,” the young man said. He turned around. “Come with us.”
