Chapter 3:

CHAPTER 1: DEATH OF ORDER
PART 3
[06:08]
"Alright now",As Magalt left, Saeli layed down the pilot and knelt near him. The exhaust wind released from Magalt's Inflyer, still making Saeli's golden yellow hair dance swiftly in the air. As the wind died down, she brought her hands together and intertwined her fingers. In the real sense of a saint and not just a nickname, Saeli started praying.
Despite kneeling on the hellish battlefield with white garments, her figure extruded a royal like presence in every sense.
" OH GREAT ALMIGHTY, AS YOUR HUMBLE SERVANT I OFFER MY PRAYERS, MY BODY AND MY SOUL FOR YOU. PLEASE HEED MY PRAYER...ASSIST ME TO SAVE THIS SOUL!!!"
As the prayer started, Saeli's hair and eyes glowed in golden yellow radiance. As the morning light itself. Her irises and the golden semicircles surrounding them disappeared in the yellow radiance. She slowly closed her eyes and placed her hand gently on the pilot's chest.
As an electrical current passing through helium gasses, the pilot's body glowed in a bright yellowish tone. Soon after the wounds closed, the fragment metal pieces slipped out by themselves and the injuries healed. The pilot was barely conscious but as the wounds healed, he regained most of his senses and witnessed a battered and butchered body being healed in real time.
"A miracle....." he whispered softly as the glow slowly subdued. Straightening his back, he looked at Saeli with new found reverence and thanked with a deep bow while still only half straightened up. His words carrying true gratitude for her from the bottom of his heart.
Covering the blood dripping from her nose with her hand, Saeli responded with her floral like voice, "Please don't, I'm only doing what I must do, what I want to do... so please raise your head... and rest."
While the pilot's attention slowly started to drift towards the reddish stain on Saeli silky smooth, porcelain like face,
Saeli stood up and took a few steps forward. Standing right in the middle of the hellish battlefield, admist the deafening sounds of countless dreading souls and the loud bangs, Saeli intertwined her fingers once again and prayed.
The few seconds she took to close her eyes were enough to witness the deadly surrounding she was standing on.
"OH.. ART THOU ALMIGHTY WHOM RESIDES IN THE ETERNAL PARADISE....."
The area around her started glowing. In a moment the whole battlefield glowed lightly. The injuries were being healed, the pantings lessening, and the breathings stabilizing. She healed them, she saved them.
As soon as the radiant glow appeared from within their bodies, they understood exactly what had happened. The mesmerizing presence they felt earlier was exactly whom they thought would be.
As a school chanting their motto or as the military getting ready for battle, cheers erupted among the soldiers. Even though the battle had already started and the soldiers were desperately clinging to life, that small visual cue was enough.
"THE ANGEL HAS ARRIVED, SHE CAME TO SAVE US, ALL HAIL THE ANGEL OF THE BATTLEFIELD!!"
Shouts erupted with the new found energy and were immediately multiplied. In less than a minute, the entire battlefield screamed her name, or rather unofficial title and invoked her. Even if they weren't heard, they prayed to her, they worshipped her. They screamed her title as a literal battle cry.
"ANGEL OF THE BATTLEFIELD!!!!"
But the Gul felt it too. Without eyes or even a nose, for some reason the Gul sensed Saeli, or rather something that was glowing brighter than everything else. The ever dark vision inside the huge Gul felt something obnoxious. Something forgotten but truly unforgettable.
With the much of the stamina regained, the moral was growing on the battlefield. The tentacles were being kept busy and the legs restrained and burned. Yet not all tentacles could be attacked and dealt with. Maybe due to poison or maybe due do something else entirely, the Gul swpied one of it's tentacle that was still free at full speed like a whip.
Spanning over 50 meters in length the black pole like tentacle, crashed into the nearby buildings like a feral dog. After the last crash, it swung directly cutting through the wind like a blade. And right in the middle of it's path was Saeli. Eyes closed and still praying. Deep red blood drops following down her eyes, nose, ears and mouth. Slowly pooling into the small cracks in her intertwined fingers.
Saeli prayed, still unaware of the eminent or rather absolute danger racing into her. Just before the tentacle could reach her, a laser shot from the sky. Buring down the tentacle racing towards Saeli. With an ear shattering bang, the tentacle crashed to the ground giving rise to a small gust of dust.
Shocked to the sound, Saeli opened her blood filled eyes only to see a huge tentacle laying near her. The burnt smell emitting from it was neither natural or artificial. As if rotten sewer water was being burnt.
Saeli covered her nose and looked around. She couldn't see a single Inflyer near her. Yet the burn marks proved it was an Inflyer who severed the tentacle. It was then she realized, what had happened. She gazed at the smoke filled dark sky and smiled softly and whispered, "Thank you big bro."
But she couldn't stay mesmerized for too long. As multiple more tentacles came flying towards her. She ducked to cover in the last minute. But it was futile. Because before they could reach her, all of them were shot and burned off.
As Saeli gazed to the sky, layed on the battlefield, the smoke cleared and the sound of an unique Inflyer crossed the sky into the ground. Seeing him, Saeli could almost hear Magalt's words as he took down those tentacles. "OH NO YOU DON'T!!!" Which made her giggle a little.
As soon as Magalt's Inflyer landed he, jumped across the cockpit and dashed towards Saeli. His next words carrying every bit of emotion which was plastered on his face. "SAE!!!! ARE YOU OKAY????"
She was okay. She expressed she was okay. She even did a 360 and showed him that she was okay. But Magalt wasn't convinced in the slightest. However Magalt also decided to respect Saeli's decisions a long time ago. And she coming here was her decision. So he accepted her words. Magalt knew nobody could force. Because if they did, they'll have to answer to some very angry people. And one of them being, The Hero.
As they continued, someone or something else noticed Saeli much clearer. The lingering feeling inside the Gul's dark vision grew more and more. The more Saeli radiated, the more the Gul's unrest grew. Now it couldn't ignore it. The Gul who was supposed to just continue forward ignoring everything, suddenly stopped.
It wasn't noticeable as their stide was always slow. However it was plenty to the Gul. It extended one of it's remaining tentacles and coiled it around a half destroyed building. And before anyone could notice, the Gul launched it at Saeli. As an old saying goes, 'half of a big building is still bigger than a small building. 'And those words were becoming true right before their eyes.
Magalt saw it first. It was nearly a hundred times bigger than him. Yet he stepped forward. Only then was that words came out of his mouth. "Oh no....OH SHIT.....I don't have time to get us both to the Inflyer!!! SAE!!!" But as he turned his head towards Saeli, he understood what he had to do.
Stepping a few steps forward, Magalt braced himself. He couldn't use magic nor had any innate ability. He was known as the best pilot and best pilot sniper, yet both those titles didn't amount to much without his Inflyer. But he still stood infront of Seali. With nothing but his bare hands. And he launched a punch as hard as he could towards the crashing building.
With a tremendous sound the punch landed right in the middle and cracked the building in two. Blood gushed out of Magalt's broken arm like a fountain. As the two parts separated, Magalt was covered in dust and tiny debris.
His uniform was just standard issue that everyone wore. Black jacket and trousers in a hardened yet flexible material with tightening straps at the wrists, waist and ankle so that one size fits everybody. The white and golden 'THG' logo was pasted quite big covered the whole chest area and was seen near at the end of the arms too. But now, everything was an ashen tone with most details that had became unnoticeable.
He tried to contain his pain but ended up letting out a low growl. Yet he turned it into a smile and turned towards Saeli to signal it's over. However it wasn't. One of the parts still had some kinetic energy left from the spinning motion which in turn made it dash forward once again. Even after hitting the ground once. And in it's path was Saeli, a perfectly sized target for the building to crush.
"SAE!!!!" Magalt screamed but couldn't get to her fast enough. If he could, he would gladly sacrifice his other arm. Standing right infront of the looming shadow casted by eminent danger, Saeli tried to escape but it was useless. She couldn't make it even if she somehow could jump like a grasshopper.
As she stood frozen, a gust of wind rushed from the back and passed her. As she turned her head, silver hair, smooth as silk covered her view. And from the other side, she heard a regal like voice echoing in the wind.
"Need a hand Saeli?"
Before she knew it, a shield bigger than her, was planted infront of her. The building crashed into in with a thunderous tremor yet the shield did not budge. It stayed in place and so the building was forced to repel away from them.
As the building crashed down, the air current created, swept away the existing smoke and winds. Revealing the owner of the regal voice. Saeli and a beautiful elf with silky smooth, silver colored hair was not facing each other. As Saeli's natural glow returned, she jumped and hugged the beautiful elf. Her voice calling her enthusiastically.
"ADEU CHAN!... Thank you very much..."
