Struck by the sudden ambush from the lightning serpent, Naoki and Shisui, already exhausted and covered in wounds, screamed at once.

The Susanoo shielding them became transparent in a flash, then slowly dispersed.

"Finally got rid of you two brats!"

Seeing his strike succeed, Fukado, hidden in the distance, burst out laughing.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

Then more figures landed inside the valley. Nearly one hundred Kumogakure shinobi had arrived from the surrounding area as reinforcements.

When they saw the valley in ruins, Kumogakure corpses scattered everywhere, and the secret warehouse at the center of the facility swallowed by a raging fire, the arriving shinobi were all stunned.

Kurapa, the Kumogakure interrogation shinobi leading them, rounded on Fukado, who had been responsible for defending the warehouse. "Fukado, what are you doing? Why didn't you protect the secret warehouse?"

Fukado said helplessly, "We were attacked by an elite Konoha unit."

"An elite unit?" Kurapa curled his lip, then pointed at Naoki and Shisui, who had been paralyzed by Lightning Release and lay on the ground. "You dare call two little Konoha brats an elite unit?"

Fukado snorted. "Brats? Take a good look around. These Konoha brats killed more than a hundred of us."

Kurapa quickly examined the surroundings. He discovered that every corpse lying on the ground belonged to Kumogakure. Inside the entire valley, aside from Naoki and Shisui lying paralyzed, he could not see a single Konoha shinobi.

Realizing that Naoki and Shisui were far from ordinary targets, Kurapa immediately made his demand. "I want to interrogate them right now."

Fukado shrugged. "Do as you like. Two more Konoha brats escaped. I'm going after them."

Naoki, hit by Lightning Release, could not muster even the slightest strength. Seeing more Kumogakure shinobi arrive and the number surrounding them exceed two hundred, his heart kept sinking.

Watching Kurapa walk toward him step by step, Naoki felt as if hope had turned to ash.

Then, suddenly, he sensed a strangely familiar power in the unseen distance.

'This is...?'

The power seemed to be hidden in the void itself, both as distant as the horizon and as close as his fingertips. What amazed him most was that the power was not only vast, but also deeply familiar.

Yes, familiar.

That power, seemingly within reach, ignited Naoki's will to survive again. Driven by a desperate hope of survival, he barely raised his hand.

Kurapa, who was walking toward Naoki, sneered. "Stop struggling. After I get what I want, I'll let you die without pain."

Shisui, beside him, stared straight at Naoki.

He knew Naoki would never make a meaningless move. He had already prepared himself to sacrifice one Mangekyo Sharingan to use Kotoamatsukami and control Kurapa.

With Shisui's current chakra, he no longer had enough to use Kotoamatsukami normally. If he forced the technique, he could only do so by sacrificing one Mangekyo Sharingan completely.

But it would be worth it.

As long as he secretly controlled Kurapa, he and Naoki would still have a chance to escape.

Naoki finally raised his hand and reached toward the empty air.

Kurapa's mouth lifted. "Has your consciousness already started to blur? Good. That will make the interrogation easier..."

Before he could finish, Kurapa froze.

Not only Kurapa. The surrounding Kumogakure shinobi, Fukado preparing to chase Guy and Kakashi, and even Shisui, who was gathering himself to use Kotoamatsukami, all froze as well.

In their eyes, Naoki had merely reached casually into the air, yet an enormous chakra reaction erupted from his body.

That chakra reaction was so vast that even Kurapa and Fukado, who had both witnessed Tailed Beast chakra, felt their minds shaken.

As for Naoki, he felt the wounds and paralysis across his body vanish at once. In their place came endless power.

'What... what is happening?'

He was every bit as shocked as anyone else.

This surging power felt incomparably familiar, but Naoki was certain it was not the power of his own Tenseigan.

Vaguely, he also sensed that some kind of information seemed to be hidden inside the massive chakra.

'Hand seals.'

Although he did not know what technique the seals within that information belonged to, Naoki still followed the sequence and formed them one by one.

Whoosh...

After the final seal, Naoki's body was wrapped in a soft pale-blue chakra, and he slowly floated into the air.

Immediately afterward, black Truth-Seeking Balls flashed out from the center of his brow and drifted around him.

'Tenseigan Chakra Mode? The seals just now were for Tenseigan Chakra Mode?'

In that moment, he guessed the source of the chakra that had come from the void. He simply did not yet understand why it had happened.

But now was clearly not the time to untangle those questions. He forced down every tangled thought in his mind and left only one idea behind.

He had to kill every Kumogakure shinobi here to make sure the Tenseigan was not exposed.

Once he made up his mind, he pointed one hand toward Shisui and pulled him from the ground into the air. Then he slowly raised his other hand and aimed it at the entire valley.

As his hand rose, the nine Truth-Seeking Balls floating around him immediately merged into one in his palm. His voice emerged cold beyond measure.

"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion."

On the Moon.

Inside the Otsutsuki ceremonial hall, an ancient white-haired elder suddenly opened his cloudy Byakugan in shock. "Who is using the power of the Tenseigan?"

The elder did not hesitate. He immediately rushed to the temple where the Tenseigan was enshrined.

At the same time, two other elders arrived at the temple as well. The three met before the enormous Tenseigan.

"How is this happening? To whom is the Tenseigan sending chakra?"

"We three should be the only ones who can control the Tenseigan."

The oldest elder, the one who had been in the ceremonial hall earlier, spoke. "No matter what is happening, seal the Tenseigan first and sever its external chakra output."

The other two elders nodded at the same time.

Then all three formed seals together and shouted in low voices, "Seal."

With the three elders' sealing technique, the light flashing across the giant Tenseigan immediately dimmed.
