"Well, well."
White Zetsu stepped through the broken pavilion entrance and swept a playful gaze over the sorcerers.
"Looks like I have been exposed."
His grin widened.
"But if I kill all of you, does it really count as being exposed?"
"Who are you?" a Kamo sorcerer roared.
One second, the man drew his weapon.
The next, his head burst.
"Jujutsu High really does raise useless people."
White Zetsu caught the dead man's katana and sighed.
"I almost forgot yours truly is actually pretty strong."
The gathered sorcerers stared at him in horror.
White Zetsu smiled.
Malice bloomed across his face.
He took one light step.
By the time the main force reacted, another sorcerer was already lying in a pool of blood.
His speed was inhuman.
Their eyes could not follow him.
He slid low beneath a strike, and the blade flashed across a waist.
One body split.
Then the sword swept through another arc.
Pale skin became decorated with threads of thick red.
Only now did White Zetsu truly reveal the terror that belonged to a cursed spirit.
That night, slaughter painted the Kamo estate crimson.
A thousand meters away, high in the sky, Itsuki's scarlet eyes seemed to pierce the Curtain.
He took in Number One's performance without missing a detail.
There was no doubt.
The body White Zetsu was controlling was the body of Toji Fushiguro, the man who had died at Satoru Gojo's hands ten years ago.
In the manga, the old curse user who performed the seance technique had been able to produce incomplete physical information on Toji.
That alone proved Gojo had not destroyed the corpse completely.
Itsuki had spent considerable effort finding Toji's remains.
Afterward, he soaked the remnants in the third layer of the Zenin Cursed Warehouse.
First, he used White Zetsu's original body from the God Tree to complete the missing parts.
Then he purified the body for years with the blood of tens of thousands of cursed spirits.
As for why Toji's body had not taken control of White Zetsu in reverse...
Perhaps White Zetsu's soul quality simply surpassed the information contained in Toji's flesh.
The Heavenly Tyrant was certainly strong.
But before a God Tree capable of devouring worlds, he was still a little lacking.
When the Curtain dispersed, everything in sight was red.
Moonlight fell across a courtyard filled with corpses.
Naobito watched White Zetsu approach step by step, his mind briefly slipping.
There was clearly a person before him.
Yet he could not sense even a trace of cursed energy.
"Toji...?"
"What are you talking about, old man?"
White Zetsu gave him an annoyed look.
"The cursed tools and information Itsuki wants are yours to collect."
"No. I will do it myself."
The Curtain had broken, and the cursed energy that leaked out was instantly devoured.
White Zetsu looked to the side with irritation.
"You did not lift a finger, and now you take all the benefits."
"Stop complaining."
Itsuki's voice was calm.
"Letting this body move at all is already generous."
"If that old fox notices it, who knows what will change."
Itsuki was not afraid of most things.
He only worried Kenjaku might truly disappear for centuries.
That would drive him mad.
He stepped through the blood and recovered what belonged to him with precise movements.
Information.
Cursed tools.
Better than nothing.
"Naobito. Hisashi."
Itsuki turned slightly toward them.
"Notify the Zenin sorcerers to gather at the new base. The original estate can be abandoned."
White Zetsu grinned.
"The House of the Children of the Star in Shinjuku. With hundreds of thousands of civilians on the surface alone, Jujutsu High would not dare move carelessly."
"Even that lunatic Satoru Gojo would not take that kind of risk just to bother us."
"Good location, Itsuki."
Itsuki glanced at White Zetsu's proud expression.
"Number One should not appear for now. You will stay at Jujutsu High and play with them slowly."
White Zetsu did not even get a chance to refuse.
Space warped beside Itsuki's shoulder and swallowed him.
Inside the Kamui Dimension, White Zetsu rubbed his backside with a sour expression.
"Used and thrown away. What a scumbag."
Then he looked up at the God Tree trunk connecting heaven and earth and grinned.
"It grew a little taller. Not bad."
"Mmph! Mmph!"
White Zetsu looked down at the sorcerer bound tightly beneath the God Tree's roots.
"Yo. Long time no see."
The next day at noon, the individual matches of the Goodwill Event were replaced by a baseball game because of Gojo's whims.
The sorcerers from both schools became more familiar with one another through the match.
Hostility and misunderstandings slowly eased.
The heavy mood from the previous day began to lift.
Just as the game ended, Utahime brought the students new bad news.
Standing before them, she hesitated over how to speak.
Her gaze lingered on Noritoshi Kamo.
Looking at the student she had taught for three years, Utahime's expression became complicated.
"Teacher," Noritoshi said quietly, "just say it. What happened?"
"Last night, the Kamo Clan, one of the Big Three Families..."
Utahime's voice tightened.
"Was confirmed annihilated."
"The suspected culprit is Itsuki Zenin."
Noritoshi froze as if struck by lightning.
He stared at his teacher, unable to believe what he had heard.
He had only been away from home for two days.
And his clan was gone?
"Kamo..."
Momo, Miwa, and the others moved toward him with worry on their faces.
Noritoshi strode toward the edge of the field so fast he had not even changed out of his baseball uniform.
"Was it him?"
He glared at White Zetsu, who was lounging on a bench.
"Did he do it?"
Born the son of a concubine, Noritoshi had been publicly declared the legitimate heir only because he inherited the clan technique the true heir did not have.
His mother, an ordinary human of low status, had been driven out of the clan when he was six.
Noritoshi had endured humiliation and worked to become the head of the Kamo Clan so he could bring his mother back openly.
Now all of it was empty.
Utahime also stared at White Zetsu. She had come to confirm the matter.
Someone who could slaughter one of the Big Three Families overnight...
Aside from Satoru Gojo, the only person who came to mind was yesterday's monster.
Jujutsu High had found no cursed energy residuals at the Kamo estate, which was why the report still said suspected.
"Why are you yelling?"
White Zetsu picked at his ear, looking bored.
He had finally gone out and enjoyed himself, only to be benched immediately.
He still had not recovered emotionally.
"It was just clan extermination."
"Itsuki did not do it. Yours truly soloed the whole thing."
Noritoshi's twisted expression filled with blood-red patterns as cursed energy began to boil.
"So it was him!"
"Why? Why did he attack the Kamo Clan?"
White Zetsu stared at him, dumbfounded.
"Yours truly said I did it. Not Itsuki."
"I soloed it!"
He looked at Noritoshi being restrained by the Jujutsu High students, then at Utahime calling Yaga to report.
His face sank into gloom.
These days, nobody believed the truth anymore?
Not Jujutsu High.
Not even the cursed spirits.
News spread quickly.
One of the Big Three Families, the Kamo Clan, had been exterminated by Itsuki Zenin.
As for the real culprit, Grade 4 White Zetsu...
He was completely ignored.
