New Beginning

//After making amends the sisters decide to go out for a celebratory dinner to honor the lives of their mom and dad.

//During the dinner, the topic of their suspicious sounding deaths or “suicides” come into question.

Aiya: You know I never really thought of Mom and Dad as the depressed types, even though Dad did struggle a lot with Mom’s death at the beginning. But after a while he became more focused and determined than ever to seek out the truth of what really happened that night. It’s like he had a purpose in life again. A new beginning, I call it.

Hana: I probably don’t know Dad as well as you did, but I do know he had an iron will, and if he had a purpose in life, especially if it involved Mom, he would never give up on it.

Aiya: Yeah, your absolutely right there. Maybe we should pick up where Dad left off and do some investigating ourselves.

Hana: I’m in on that!

//The girls reminisce more during the night about their past and start to form a bond that they never forged during their childhood.

Hana suddenly pops up: I have to use the little girl’s room… you got the check right (as Hana let’s out a huge grin)

Aiya: Wait, what? $150 dollars?

Hana: C’mon sis, you make the big bucks. Besides, I have no more money, I don’t have a job remember, (grinning ear to ear again).

Aiya: tsk… okay, but just this time… since it was for Mom and Dad!

Hana: Sheesh… just make me feel bad will you!

//Hana returns, and the two girls leave the restaurant arm in arm, smiling, and very excited about their new beginning.

Aiya: So where are you staying?

Hana: Where’s your house?

Aiya: West side of town… are you staying close by…

Hana: oh yeah, very near, like in the next bedroom near!

Aiya: What? Wait, where did you sleep last night?

Hana: It was a very pleasant night outside; it was like camping under the stars… I only had to beat off one bum and the others quickly got the hint.

Aiya: You dummy! C’mon let’s go home!

//Aiya hands the valet her ticket, and as they wait for their car to be brought to them Aiya notices an extremely beautiful and sophisticated lady standing nearby waiting by herself.

Aiya: Strange, what’s a Regal Highborn like her doing all by herself?

Hana: A what?

Aiya: A posh, a snub nose, an aristocrat… Ughh, a Royal!!! (Aiya yells angerly).

//Aiya then begins sprinting toward the Royal as she takes out her sword.

//The royal all sudden sees Aiya charging at her with sword in hand and freezes in stunned terror.

Hana: Aiya! Wait, no! Have you lost your mind again!

//As Aiya approaches the Royal she takes a full swing at her…. and with the utmost precision and accuracy she slices her purse strings, so her purse falls to the ground. At the same time a now shocked purse snatcher who was running toward the Royal from the other direction quickly pulls his hands back, so they don’t get sliced off too.

//The purse snatcher skids to a halt and instantly begins to crawl backwards and then gets up and runs back the other way.

//He doesn’t get three steps away before he runs straight into Hana and falls back on the ground.

//Hana bends down and looks sternly at the purse snatcher. But too Hana’s surprise…

Hana: Oiy, what are you doing here? Aiya, it’s the bum from last night, awww, I don’t have the heart to pummel him again.

//Seizing the opportunity, the bum /purse snatcher gets up and starts to run again.

Hana: Aiya, can we just let him go?

//Just then a mysterious and beautiful woman appears from the shadows. She charges straight for the bum and goes vertical in the air, feet first, wraps her legs around his shoulders, and while still vertical she suddenly twists him around and to the ground and lands on her two feet.

Hana mumbles to herself: tsk, show off, I could have done that to if I wanted.

Aiya now stunned herself: No way!! … I’ve seen that move in our training films… there is only one person who could have pulled off that move… but she no longer exists?

//The mysterious lady races over to the Royal, gets down on one knee and takes her hand.

Mystery lady: My Lady, please forgive me… I was terribly neglect in my duties… it won’t happen again… I swear on my life!

//Aiya and Hana watch in stunned silence.

Royal Lady: No, it wasn’t your fault. I’m the stupid one here… I wanted to be brave and fearless waiting here on my own… just like you!

//The Royal then turn to the girls who are still in stunned silence now with their mouths hanging open.

Royal Lady (she bows showing the girls the utmost respect): Thank you my kind and brave young saviors, I will never forget the events of tonight. I am in your debt, and hopefully will be able to repay you in kind one day.

Mystery Lady: I too am in your debt, and I will repay you one day for your kindness and generosity. I will be watching over you!

//The girls gulp over the tenacity of the mystery lady. Aiya then starts to wave her hands gesturing that they are not owed anything and begins to bow repeatedly.

Aiya: As a member of the Military Knights, it is my sworn duty to put my live on the line for the Royal family…

Hana: It’s hers, not really mine… Say Is there a reward or something for this?

//Aiya then punches Hana in the gut and she doubles over…

Aiya whispers: just bow, dummy…

Hana: alright, alright!…

//The Royal Lady and Mystery Woman laugh. They thank the girls once again as they depart….

Mystery Woman (to Royal Lady): I thought I recognized the Knight.

Royal Lady: Huh? (excitedly) Is she the one?

Mystery Woman: Yes, I believe she is. I believe she is the solution to our little problem. I’m not sure about the sister (speaking of Hana), but she seems to be at a very high level also. I didn’t even see her get in front of the purse snatcher, she got there so quickly.

//The mystery woman turns slightly and gives the universal hand signal to Hana that she will be watching her.

Hana: Yeah, yeah.

//Aiya flicks Hana on the forehead.

Hana: Hey, what was that for?

Aiya: Dummy!

//The girls laugh and start to walk to the car.

Aiya: You’re a dummy, but you have a kind and generous heart. Mom and Dad would be extremely proud of what you’ve become.

Hana: Thanks sis, I needed that! … I miss them terribly also.

//The girls continue to walk toward the car, again arm in arm, just like when they first left the restaurant.

Hana: So, do we make a good team or what?

Aiya: I see possible potential in us teaming up together.

Hana: Okay then… how about Heroes for Hire, Inc.!

Aiya: Umm, just a tinsy bit to bold. How about Mystery Solved, Inc.!

Hana: Well… let’s sleep on it and start fresh in the morning.

Aiya (softly): Yeah, tomorrow is our new beginning! New Beginnings, Inc. I like it! So would Mom and Dad.

//Aiya puts her head on Hana’s shoulder and whispers…

Aiya: Thanks for saving me big sis.

Hana: Huh?
