No Retreat

Inside the forest training camp, the fight against Muscular had reached a breaking point.

Mandalay, Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, Bakugo, Midoriya, and the others had managed to survive the first wave of attacks, but that was all.

Muscular's offensive only grew more violent.

His Quirk activated again.

Red muscle fibers wrapped around both arms, turning them into massive, armor-like weapons.

He grinned at Yaoyorozu and the others.

"Not bad. Looks like I should take this a little more seriously."

Everyone was breathing hard. Facing Muscular's attacks head-on had exhausted them faster than expected.

Mandalay had already told the students to retreat, and Class 1-A had refused. They would not run, not from Muscular and not while their classmates were still in danger.

That was all the answer Muscular needed.

He attacked again before anyone could regroup.

Bakugo, Todoroki, Midoriya, Yaoyorozu, and the others threw everything they had at him, but his punch shattered the combined assault and hurled them back into the dirt.

Despair began to spread.

For a moment, no one dared to breathe.

Then his laughter stopped.

A blue arc of sword pressure cut through the night.

Hope returned to Yaoyorozu and Mandalay at the same time.
