‘The future is uncertain. We are all lone wolves on the mountain top’

This is the philosophy I live by. Of course, I wrote that quote.

I’ve always lived in the future. Daydreaming about my future self was the motivation for me to keep going. I always kept looking forward.

Perhaps, I couldn’t see it anymore. I could no longer daydream about my future. I pretty much lost my reason to keep going.

I had thought of this story when I was in the 10th grade. While daydreaming, I had flashes of the ending scene in my head. That’s when I started noting them all down on my phone.

2 years later, I’ve written a complete book.

This is one of the ‘only’ projects that I’ve spent day and night on, relentlessly working hard to complete. Many sleepless nights, two months of sincere story planning and writing, and finally I’ve finished the story to perfection. I really enjoyed it, every single part of this journey.

It really taught me what “Living in the moment” felt like. Even now, I struggle to daydream about my future. But I don’t need to anymore. I just need to live in the moment.

To those who helped me in the editing process, I am grateful from the bottom of my heart.

To those who lent an ear, when I needed to vent, I will treasure you all forever.

To those who are reading this right now, thank you so much. You have finished reading a part of my soul.

And lastly, thank you to Honeyfeed for giving me an opportunity like this. It allowed me to escape from this cruel reality for a brief moment of time, and taught me something very valuable.
