My dearest and beloved

“So will you tell me where we are riding to?” I have questioned Teiran ever since we departed from the duchy.

“Just wait a little longer, we will soon be there!” He responded.

“Why just not say it now?”

“You will see soon why, look up ahead!”

“Ahead?” When I fixed my gaze in front of me I was blinded by a shining vast blue, like the endless sky on the ground. It was shimmering and it was splashing, a vast yellowish dustlike substance was laid down on the ground. It was magical. It was like what I would have imagined eternity to look like.

“This?” I wondered.

“It’s the ocean.”

“This is the ocean?” I questioned flabbergasted.

“The ocean is so vast and shining? So blue, just like the sky?” I continued. Oh no! I feel like crying! The ocean I always dreamed of seeing just for once in my life, it was even grander than I imagined. It was like a fairy tale.

“So this is an ocean!” I repeated.

“Yes that’s the ocean” He reached out his hand for my waist and put me down from the horse. Then he held me by the hand and led me towards the path.

“And this?” I said while looking at the dustlike yellowish substance.

“It’s sand.”

“Sand? This is sand?” I was amazed. So that’s sand. I never had the opportunity to see them, since I could never vacate this far. When I stepped on the sand it felt extremely soft down on my feet. How could this whole sand be here and stay so clean and shining? So this is the seaside. The sand, the ocean and the sky. It looked like a painting. It was mesmerizing.

“What a beautiful sight.”

“Yeah, truly beautiful” Teiran replied softly.

As we came closer towards the water I reached out my hand to feel it. It felt cool and when I tried it, it was salty.

“Look, look Teiran! This water is salty! Salty! I never tasted water like that!”

“Yeah. You can also play in the water if you want.”

“Really? But what about my clothes? Also isn’t that against etiquette?” I wondered.

“Who cares about that, when you are with me, just think about enjoying yourself! Come on, let's go!” He smiled and dragged me by the hand right into the water.

He scooped a little bit of water and splashed it right towards me, making my face wet with the water. I started laughing and prepared for a counterattack. I copied his movements and splashed him with water making his white shirt soak in water. We continued our battle, splashing each other with water here and there, the waves getting bigger with each scoop until we felt exhausted and found ourselves back on the sand. We sat beside each other staring at the ocean, the sun already starting to set.

“We look like a mess! Carina will scold us!” I chuckled.

“Yeah, but it was worth it, right?”

“It was! How did you know that I wanted to see the ocean!”

“Well, let’s just say a little fairy whispered it into my ear.”

Rusha? But I never mentioned to her that I wanted to see the ocean. Wait, was she still listening back then when we communicated right before my battle with Calista? I see, so that’s why.

“Thank you for taking me here! It was the greatest memory, I will never forget it!” I smiled while resting my face on my knees and holding on to my legs. I faced Teiran's side and gazed at his eyes.

“You know there was a reason why I wanted to come here.” He continued while maintaining eye contact with me. I felt flustered by the long eye contact, but not now! I won’t look away, I want to keep it all for me, this sight of you that only I get to see. I want to capture it for eternity, just like the vast beautiful sea.

“I also wanted to tell you something.” I replied. It was the best moment. Who knows when I would get the chance to tell him again.

“Actually for a very, very long time I felt this way for-” He put a finger on my lips stopping me from talking.

“Please let me talk first alright?” He said calmly. I grabbed his hand and nodded towards him in approval. He smiled timidly.

“You know when I was younger there was something my mother once told me. Back then I couldn’t understand what she meant but now I do . She told me, one day you will meet somebody who will understand you on a whole other level. That person will always be on your mind, you will always look ahead towards the moments you see them, you will feel safe with them, you will cherish every single thing they do, every smile that escapes their lips and when you are separated you will feel afraid and restless. It’s not just a fleeting feeling, it’s something deep inside of you that grows even stronger with time until you can’t contain it anymore and have to let it all out. So here I am, not knowing the right words to say, but I do know that I am in that exact situation my mother described. Feeling something I never felt before, acting a way I never acted before all of that because I met you. In my eyes you shine like a bright night sky filled with stars, your smile that you showed me for the first time after feeling afraid all the time was beautiful, just like you look right now. Your kindness and caring nature made me feel even more for you, the more time we spent the deeper these feelings grew and at the moment where I couldn’t hold your hand it felt like my world broke apart when you disappeared. I couldn’t breath, I couldn't stay calm at all, if I would never be able to see you, I would have rather died that day. But there you were, fighting bravely and protecting others and finally I was able to hold you in my arms and what I actually just want to tell you is, that I love you so much, that I can’t imagine a life without you. So if you feel the same way, would you like to have a real marriage with me? Would you be my wife, from now on and until the end? My dearest.“

“Unfair! You didn’t even give me the chance to confess myself! I wanted to talk about how much I love you too!” I cried out. He smiled brightly at me.

“Sorry, I wanted to be the first to confess.”

“Really, seriously! That's unfair... I also wanted to tell you how much you mean to me! You are the light in my life, don’t you know that already? You were the first to believe me, the first to hold my hand, the first to realize when I feel bad and always calm me down when I panic. This hand of yours I wanted to hold onto it for dear life! I felt jealous when those women swarmed around you and tried to flirt with you, I even thought that’s my man, leave him alone! I already felt this way for you for a very very long time. You are my first, you filled my life with firsts just like now! It would be my honor to be on your side for eternity. I want you!" I blurted out, my words overflowing like the waves off the ocean.

“Yeah I am all yours my dear wife!” Teiran chuckled and wrapped his arms around me which made us lose balance and tumble down on the sand.

“You better take good care of me, my beloved” I tightened my grip on him. Since it was unfair that he confessed first I pulled him closer to me and gave him a kiss on his lips which made him blush in suprise.

“Sorry my beloved, that was a sweet revenge.”
