Before the Third could speak, Homura Mitokado pushed up his glasses and said, "Kakashi is Minato's student. There is no need to question his loyalty."

As the son of Konoha's White Fang, the student of the Fourth Hokage, and a Konoha hero of the Third Shinobi World War, Kakashi carried far too many honors. If even he were suspected, then no shinobi in the village could avoid suspicion.

The Third nodded. "I will privately conduct any necessary questioning related to Team Eleven. Full surveillance is unnecessary. They are trustworthy Konoha shinobi."

"Trustworthy?" Danzo gave a cold laugh, then said, "Naoki Hyuga was once one of Orochimaru's subordinates. Who can guarantee he is not a spy Orochimaru planted in the village? Leaving someone like that in the ANBU is careless, Hiruzen."

The Third disliked Danzo bringing up old matters and said in a low voice, "Danzo, there is no need to mention the past."

Danzo insisted, "He was on the purge list. Someone like that must not remain in the ANBU. If you insist on going your own way, then I can only arrange for Root to monitor him privately."

The Third fell silent.

The fact that Naoki had once been on the purge list was like a thorn lodged in the Third's heart. It prevented him from fully trusting Naoki. After all, no matter who had been placed on a purge list and abandoned by the village, their loyalty would inevitably be greatly reduced.

Seeing that the Third had tacitly allowed it, Danzo said no more. Leaning on his cane, he left the Hokage Building.

On Naoki's side, after parting from Shisui, he went alone to the Forest of Death.

After sighing lightly, Naoki activated the Byakugan.

He carefully scanned the surroundings. After confirming again and again that no one was hidden nearby and that there were no abnormal chakra reactions, he slowly closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, the eyes in his sockets had become a magnificent sapphire blue.

Then he slowly formed hand seals and said in a low voice, "Tenseigan Chakra Mode."

Whoosh...

Sky-blue chakra instantly wrapped around his body and lifted him, leaving him floating lightly in the air.

The little wild boar beside him did not panic much. It cautiously moved closer and sniffed him with its nose. After discovering his scent had not changed, it stuck its rear out and circled Naoki again, seemingly waiting for him to feed it.

Naoki smiled faintly. He ignored the wild boar for now and focused on sensing Tenseigan Chakra Mode.

He had entered Tenseigan Chakra Mode before inside the Land of Lightning and had even used the Truth-Seeking Balls to unleash Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion. But that had happened on the battlefield, and he had maintained the mode for only a very short time. Because of that, Naoki had never truly familiarized himself with Tenseigan Chakra Mode, not even its chakra consumption.

Now that he had hidden himself in the empty Forest of Death, he could experience Tenseigan Chakra Mode properly without interference and test its abilities and costs.

Naoki slowly descended to the ground. In Tenseigan Chakra Mode, he touched the ground with one hand and infused Tenseigan chakra beneath the surface.

Very quickly, every chakra reaction within nearly ten miles of him fed back into his mind through his Tenseigan chakra.

'The chakra-sensing range increased by almost ten times.'

Secretly delighted, Naoki then poured chakra into his Tenseigan and focused on examining his surroundings.

With sufficient chakra supporting it, his Tenseigan immediately bloomed with a magnificent, unmatched radiance. At first glance, his eyes looked like two brilliant gems.

In his current field of vision, everything was clear. Even the pattern on the wings of a moth dozens of meters away looked as if it were right in front of him.

Naoki glanced at the little wild boar wandering near him and suddenly discovered that the chakra inside its body had grown quite a bit over this period. However, several parts of its chakra pathway system were still blocked and had not fully opened.

Naoki smiled faintly and beckoned to the wild boar.

The little wild boar immediately flew toward Naoki against its will. No matter how it struggled, it could not break free from the pulling force of Revolving Will.

After pulling the wild boar to his side, Naoki lightly pressed a hand to its abdomen and infused Tenseigan chakra into it bit by bit.

As the Tenseigan chakra entered, the chakra inside the wild boar's body instantly grew several times stronger. The blocked portions of its chakra pathway system were also opened by the surge of chakra.

"You helped me test poison for so long. Consider that your hardship pay."

In a very good mood, Naoki smiled faintly.

The wild boar, whose chakra pathways had all been opened, swayed as if drunk. It snorted and stumbled, its steps unsteady.

Naoki paid it no further attention. Instead, he concentrated and began manifesting a Truth-Seeking Ball.

Unlike last time, when he had summoned nine Truth-Seeking Balls with a casual motion, this time, without the support of the giant Tenseigan, Naoki had to exert considerable effort just to barely manifest one Truth-Seeking Ball.

He had already left many people who once stood ahead of him far behind.

Naoki's gaze deepened as he looked toward the distant sky. "Heh. So my talent is poor, and my chakra is lacking. If a problem can be identified, it can be solved."
