Chapter 1:
Evil to Evil
In 1990, every person in the world suddenly vanished because of an unknown phenomenon. However, one man, Carlo, was not erased.
Carlo lived in Brazil and was 21 years old. He was terrified because he had become the only human left on Planet Earth. He had no idea what had happened to the world or where all the people had gone. His friends and family had disappeared, leaving him completely alone.
Without humans, the Earth began to change. Pollution decreased, and dangerous wild animals started entering cities, destroying everything in their path.
Carlo was extremely hungry. He decided to leave his shelter and search for food. As he stepped outside, he saw many dangerous animals roaming the streets. Fear filled his heart, but he forced himself to continue.
After searching carefully, Carlo managed to gather some food. He quickly returned to a safe place, relieved to have survived another day.He lived in his safe place for many days."He was so frightened that he could not sleep at night. One day Suddenly, Carlo noticed many strange creatures and wild animals gathering together in the distance. The sight filled him with dread. Since becoming the last human on Earth, he had felt lonely and depressed.
Without warning, one of the creatures charged toward him. Carlo froze in fear, certain that he was about to die.
Bang!
A gunshot echoed through the air.
The creature collapsed to the ground, dead. The other creatures immediately scattered and fled into the ruins of the city.
Carlo looked around in shock. Someone had saved him.
A smile appeared on his face for the first time in a long while. If someone had fired that shot, then he was not the only human left in the world.
That night, Carlo finally managed to sleep peacefully.
The next morning, he woke up and went out to search for food. He carefully made his way to a nearby market, keeping an eye out for the strange creatures that roamed the streets. After gathering food and water, he returned home.
As he stepped inside, he suddenly froze.
Someone was sitting in his room.
Fear gripped his heart.
"Who are you?" Carlo asked nervously.
The stranger slowly raised his head and smiled.
"I am Evil."
Before Carlo could react, the mysterious man lunged at him.
Carlo barely dodged the attack and ran out of the house as fast as he could. His heart pounded in his chest while fear consumed his thoughts.
Who was that person?
Why did he call himself Evil?
Carlo wandered the city for hours before finally returning home. He locked every door and window, then ate some fruit and drank water.
When night came, he lay in bed, but sleep would not come.
Every time he closed his eyes, he remembered the stranger's smile and those chilling words:
"I am Evil."
Alone in the darkness, Carlo wondered if meeting that mysterious man would be the beginning of an even greater nightmare. The next day, Carlo woke up early in the morning. He felt both happy and scared. He was happy because he had met another person who was still alive on Earth. However, he was also scared because of the nightmare he had the previous night.
Carlo wondered what would happen in the future. He decided to find the person who had saved his life.
After a few days of searching, Carlo finally found the person in the jungle. To his surprise, it was a beautiful young woman.
Carlo walked up to her and asked her name.
"My name is Emilia," she replied. "I am from Japan. I came to Brazil to study."
Carlo then asked, "Do you know what happened to Earth and all the people?"
Emilia nodded. "I know a little. Some unknown force erased almost everyone on Earth, but I don't know why I survived."
Carlo asked, "Where is your family?"
Emilia looked down sadly. "My father was a doctor. He was killed by one of his patients. My mother died in an accident. I have been living alone."
"Oh, I'm sorry for asking about your family," Carlo said.
Emilia smiled faintly. "What about your family?"
Carlo lowered his head. "I lost my family and my friends in this disaster. They were all erased. I miss them every day."
After a moment of silence, Carlo asked, "What should we do now?"
Emilia answered, "We should work together and find a way to make Earth normal again."
Suddenly, a pack of wolves appeared and surrounded them.
Emilia quickly picked up her gun and fired several shots. The wolves backed away and disappeared into the forest.
Carlo stood frozen with fear.
Emilia laughed softly. "You need more practice if you want to survive in this world."
"You mean you'll train me?" Carlo asked.
"Yes," Emilia replied. "From now on, we're friends."
"Thank you," Carlo said with a smile.
Suddenly, Carlo saw a familiar face in the distance—the mysterious man called Evil.
The figure grinned and said,
"Everyone is dead. Everything is destroyed. Everyone you loved is gone. Hahaha!"
Carlo's eyes widened in terror. He screamed loudly.
Emilia rushed toward him.
"Carlo! What happened? Carlo, what's wrong?"Carlo grabbed his head and screamed loudly.
Emilia quickly ran to him and hugged him.
"Carlo, relax! Relax!" she said, trying to calm him down.
Carlo was shaking with fear. Emilia helped him walk back to their safe shelter.
When they arrived, she gently laid him on a bed.
"I'll go find some food and medicine," Emilia said before leaving the shelter.
As soon as she was gone, Carlo began seeing strange faces around him.
"Emilia will die."
"Your family died."
"Your friends died."
"You are responsible for the disappearance of all humanity."
"You are the real Evil."
"You are the Devil."
The voices echoed inside his mind.
Then Carlo saw another face.
It was his own face.
But it looked twisted, cruel, and evil.
Carlo's heart pounded.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes.
He was breathing heavily.
"Thank God... it was only a nightmare," he whispered.
Carlo got up and walked to the bathroom. He splashed cold water on his face and looked into the mirror.
For a moment, everything seemed normal.
Then the reflection changed.
The face in the mirror became the same evil version of himself from the nightmare.
Carlo stumbled backward in terror and fell to the floor.
His body froze as he stared at the horrifying reflection.
