Terminology:
Onmitsu: State-sanctioned military shadow operatives bound to protect and die for their nation.
Ronin: Masterless, powerful outlaws who have deserted their home country and follow no laws.
Rappa: A coordinated faction of rogue Ronin operating together completely outside the laws of any nation.
The Onmitsu Ranks (Lowest to Highest):
Ashinin: Baseline academy graduates doing chores.
Goshinin: Standard military city protection forces.
Kashinin: Veteran investigative and detective officers.
Joshinin: Special agents handling espionage.
Taishinin: Elite independent covert assassination weapons.
Shinsu: Ultimate military leaders of nations.
The Mission Scale (Lowest to Highest):
Shoji: Low-risk civic community maintenance tasks.
Keibi: Escort operations, threats not involving Onmitsu.
Seibatsu: Counter-insurgency, threat Goshinin or lower.
Chobo: High-profile client or target, threat exceeding Kashinin.
Shisatsu: Assassination done by Joshinin, threat any level.
Shimmei: Existential threat Tashinin or higher.
The Power System:
Keriaku: Internal energy manifesting external forces with three main forms.
Inatsu: Negative pressure.
Keiatsu: Positive discharge.
Denki: The spark.
Elements: Kaji-Fire, Raiken-Lightning, Shido-Earth, Ryu-Water, Kaze-Wind.
Genkairaku: Tactical illusions manipulating enemy awareness.
Keido: The way Onmitsu approaches hand-to-hand combat.
Fuinkairku: The art of sealing items in various ways.
Igakairku: The art of healing oneself or others using forms of Keriaku.
Hekireki: Special genetic bloodlines carried through clans.
Main Tools used:
Shuriken: Various forms, such as Pointed, Bo, or Jiki.
Kunai: Heavy, multi-purpose iron tools sharpened into thick, reliable daggers.
Tanto: Small single-sided waist knife about a foot long.
Wakizashi: Medium-sized blade about two feet long.
Jian: A heavy steel straight sword.
Katana: A common weapon used for fighting and slashing.
