A Freshman Chosen as Chairman?!

The grand hall was bathed in dazzling light from its opulent chandeliers. Each freshman had their own elegant private room, providing a perfectly suitable environment.

A notice was posted on the dormitory's "bulletin board" in the center of the hall.

"This year's Chairperson: New student, Susie Liam"

A murmur arose. It was particularly difficult for the freshmen to accept.

"Are you trying to confuse us with magic again?"

"That principal is capable of anything."

I walked down the corridors and classrooms with a hunched back, trying to be inconspicuous. With my already slender, boyish body, and my long hair tucked into my uniform hat, I could easily pass for a male student.

This is really uncomfortable. Is this some kind of punishment game?

The principal, homeroom teachers, assistant teachers...and all the students gathered in the hall. The Survival Principal was standing there.

"The new chairperson of the board of directors at Enzyme Boarding School has been decided as freshman Susie Liam. Please be sure to inform everyone."

The declaration rang out like a clap of thunder, completely out of place.

"What? It was true?"

"W-What? Are you serious?"

"Susie?"

One teacher spoke as if he was convinced.

"I see. So, she was chosen for this year's Magic Album, then."

"How groundbreaking! Amazing!"

"A groundbreaking achievement for a freshman! Let's give a round of applause to our young chairman!"

"A toast to the chairman!"

Only the freshmen seemed to share my feelings, constantly shaking their heads in confusion.

"Huh? Susie, you just found a magic album, right?"

"Can anyone become one? Is it a rotation system?"

"That's a pretty harsh joke."

The pure white marble beneath my feet suddenly seemed unreal, and I was struck by the illusion that I was floating in mid-air.

(Being chairman...I want to be relieved of this job as soon as possible!!)
