Chapter 52:
The director of the magic school is the new student, Susie Liam
I firmly closed the heavy mahogany door, putting the room in a "working" state.
I stayed holed up in the chairman's office for three days and three nights, not stepping outside even once.
Even if you skip class, no one can complain or bother you.
That's the chairman's privilege.
I ordered Principal Survival to carry out every single magical book hidden in the depths of the library and in the secret rooms. Thick piles of parchment covered the floor.
The homeroom teacher and assistant teacher were made to bring in a full-course meal with a silver, dome-shaped lid every meal.
"The soup and bread should be piping hot. I've told you this before, haven't I?"
"yes!"
Yorkshire is a slow learner, no matter how many times you tell him.
There is only one objective.
To break the monopoly of magic held by the privileged class and to develop spells and rituals that make magical knowledge and power available to ordinary people all over the world.
I drew an intricate magic circle on a huge piece of parchment spread on the floor. I infused the ink with magic, weaving together meticulous calculations and the laws of white magic. But when I put the last piece in place, I was stunned.
"...There's no way I can do this alone. I don't have enough strength."
The ancient texts reveal the "source of magic." It was submerged in the deep seabed surrounding these islands, sealed tightly. The privileged ancestors deliberately sank it deep to the bottom of the ocean to prevent the magical power from spreading to the general public.
"I guess it's impossible after all..."
I escaped the palace. Standing before the vast ocean, my own powerlessness weighed heavily on my heart.
"Susie! Hey! How are you?"
A voice suddenly rang out from behind me. I turned around to see Adam standing on the beach, out of breath.
"...Huh, Adam?"
