Are You Prepared?

Cutting through the wind, Miranda flew in, enveloped in a whirlwind. Behind her, Kevin followed, and then Orlando, Becky, and the other freshmen soared into the sky one after another. Even the familiar sophomores and the powerful junior seniors began to gather, wands in hand.

Adam looked at me and smiled a little proudly.

"Well, Enzyme's charisma and wide network of connections... he can't compare to me, a second-year student, right?"

He went around to other islands and dormitories, gathered everyone together, explained the whole situation, and persuaded them.

Certainly, Adam was popular. And the fact that he was the principal's son made him even more persuasive.

"Are you all... really sure about this? You'll be giving up your privileges, you know? This world is too harsh for spoiled brats and girls like you."

I was irritated.

"Isn't that true for Susie too?"

"Don't hurt my feelings—that's how you say it."

"Sorry"

"That's true... but then you'll lose the sweet world that you've had for generations, the one you've had through magic, right?"

Everyone was listening in silence. I think Adam explained and they understood, though.

After all, it's a gathering of ultimate celebrities. I don't want any complaints later on.

"The vested interests we've had until now are going to disappear, you know? Even magic won't be our exclusive ability anymore. Do you understand what that means?"

I might have to abandon my family. I'll probably be disowned. I endured it, telling myself that I was the only one who should have to suffer such pain.
