Chapter 62:

Most Wanted Salaryman : My Level Only Goes Negative

"Hey, did you see the last applicant? She looked like she belonged in a sumo ring! Ahahaha!"

The old hiring manager slapped the table, laughing uproariously alongside his regional leader.

"Oh, absolutely," The female recruiter chimed in, wiping a tear from her eye.

"And what about that guy before her? The one who kept stuttering? I swear, if he started his introduction in the morning, it would be lunchtime by the time he reached his last name!"

They chuckled, shuffling through the stack of resumes.

The entire afternoon had been a complete farce. They were running through the final round of interviews only for the show : the regional leader had already decided to hire the executive director's son anyway.

"Next," the female secretary at the door called out, her voice dripping with boredom.

The door swung open, but the next candidate didn't sit down. Instead, he strolled into the room, casually loosening the knot of his dark tie with one hand.

"You know... the walls in this place are incredibly thin," the young man remarked, his voice unbothered.

"I couldn't help but hear your yapping." He said while cleaning his ear with pinky finger.

The hiring manager’s laughter vanished instantly. He blinked, staring at the applicant's striking appearance.

"Hey! Who do you think you are? And what on earth is wrong with your hair?"

The candidate reached up, casually brushing a hand through his long white hair.

"Ah, this? I think an old friend of mine thought it looked cool."

The regional manger slammed his hand down on the desk, his face turning an angry shade of red, "Security! Get this B-tier college reject out of here right now!"

"Who exactly are you calling B-tier?"

"You! You have no manners for adults-"

*SLAP*

The candidate slapped the regional manger with back of his hand.

*CLING*

The golden teeth fall of from regional manager's mouth.

"I don't think I like this corporate job thingy. I'm resigning." He threw his resumes in the air.

"But.. we didn't... even hire you." The regional manager said with blood in his mouth.

The white-haired young man didn't listen, he simply turned around and got out of the room, walking towards somethin more fun...

Author Notes : Thank you, this is Raya the author of Most Wanted Salaryman. Thank you everyone who read it. I wish I could have wrote more but the word limit was a constraint.
Nonetheless! I'm glad I have finally finished the journey of Toshio Tanaka... and maybe started for Nero?!

If I ever get a chance to rewrite this, I would love to add more lore, more fantasy backstories and more character dynamics! i can only pray for that. I'm grateful for everyone who supported me for this short but memorable period of time.

See You Next Time!
