Chapter 46:
The Mage Murderer
“There you are.” Sophia said as she came up to Kieran who was sitting under a tree on a small hill, overlooking the big city in the distance.
“You look good, that dress suits you very well,” he said.
“Thanks…”
Sophia just watched him sit there for a while.
“Are you sure about declining Valeria’s offer? Your reputation would be restored, and people would know the truth about you… You finally would get what you deserved. You would be the new hero of the people,” she mentioned.
“I don’t need to be the hero of the people… nor do I want to…” Kieran said.
“Okay… if that is what you want… and if we’re on the topic of things you want… we had our little deal, remember?”
“Yeah. I do.”
Sophia looked around.
“So what is it you want me to do… or do to me… I don’t see any people around and… I don’t have anything on underneath… you know quick access and so forth…” she said and gave him a very obvious wink
“Sit down next to me.” Kieran said.
“Oh, okay.”
Sophia did as she was asked.
“Stretch out your legs.” Kieran said.
Sophia stretched out her legs.
“What’s this gonna be?” she asked. “Some new kind of… position?”
Kieran slowly leaned down and rested his head inside her lap.
“And now stroke my head please…” Kieran asked of her.
Sophia did what he wanted and started to stroke his head and hair.
“That is all you wanted?” is what she was thinking about saying, but then and there she realized what he truly wanted… what he never had but always craved, maybe even without knowing it.
“You did good, Kieran. You’re my hero. I love you.”
Kieran turned his head up towards her.
“Thank you… I love you too, Sophia.” He said and a small tear rolled over his cheek.
Sophia quickly swiped it away and then leaned downwards until her hair hung like a curtain around their heads and nobody saw what they were doing behind it.
