Chapter 11:
Fragments of our Dreams
So... the story of "The Tangerines" is another dream of mine.
I had this dream around 4–5 months ago. The funny thing is, I don't even remember much about that day itself. It was just a normal day. But somehow, this dream stayed with me.
The special part about this dream is that I experienced almost all of it from Arthur's POV. And funny enough, Arthur wasn't even a name I gave him. It was a name from the dream itself. Actually, only two names were clearly given in my dream: Arthur and Lucy.
When I woke up, I remembered the dream in broken pieces. Something about a case, the police, research, a company, a few strange people... and somehow, at the end, a guy was going to jail. Those were the parts I remembered.
But then came the weird part~
I actually woke up in the middle of the dream because of my not-so-friendly neighbor. Instead of staying awake, I went back to sleep almost immediately.
And somehow, luckily, I woke up in the same dream again.
It continued.
That's when I saw Lucy properly, understood her connection with Adrian, and finally reached the ending. After that, the dream ended for real.
I wrote this down as fast as I could before the details disappeared. Some parts were clear, some were broken, and some were honestly uncertain. But I decided to keep them that way.
I know some parts may feel incomplete or a little strange, but I didn't want to add too many extra details and turn the dream into something it wasn't. There are things I could have explained more, but sometimes explaining a dream too much can ruin the dream itself.
Maybe someday I might turn this into a fully scripted story, especially the whole Elena and Arthur side of it. Who knows~ Maybe in the future.
And about the literary meaning... I don't think I really need to explain it this time.
The story is actually pretty simple:
Care about what you have before it's gone.
That's it.
Anyway, that's all for now.
See you all in the next fragment.
Adi's Adventure~ (not the actual title)
