I am currently roaming around the Garden of Acadia.

This place is kind of big. It is almost as big as a city, and it has a fantastically beautiful atmosphere. Exploring this entire garden will probably take a month.

Getting lost here is unavoidable, with so many large plants growing everywhere and blocking my line of sight. Thankfully, there is a System function that I can use to guide me to the exit.

I don't need to worry, so I can freely roam around.

I use Ascertain to identify more plants and herbs.

There is a bit of a problem. I know the recipes for several potions, but I don't know what some of the ingredients look like.

And the recipes I want to use are the ones that David Flin created himself. He actually experimented with recipes that have better effects than the commonly known potion recipes, such as Recovery Potions, Replenish Potions, Health Potions, Strength Potions, and more.

The problem is that some of the ingredients he specifies aren't mentioned in any of the books I can find in the library.

So, I really need to identify every plant and herb that is unfamiliar to me. This will take a while if I want to gather all the ingredients I need.

But today, I managed to gather enough ingredients for one potion, so I should stop for now.

"Okay, let's make this one potion."

I am now in my dorm room, sitting at my study table.

So, I just need to compile the ingredients, put a bit of magic into them, and then say...

As far as I know, a normal Rank E Replenish Potion only has a 30% effect.

And as David Flin said, his recipes have an additional 5% effect.

So, my Gift Traits have a probability of adding 1–10% additional effects.

This should increase if my Potion Master rank also increases.

It's been almost a week since I started exploring the garden for ingredients.

For the past few days, I have just been attending the normal morning classes that teach us about monsters, creatures, dungeons, and many more things.

Then comes magic class.

And after that, combat class.

I haven't been spending much time in the training grounds for now.

Mr. Grid actually advises us to spend more time in the training grounds if we are close-combat types.

I did choose the close-combat type...

So he's been eyeing me lately because I always leave as soon as the specific time for combat class ends and go straight to the garden.

My purpose is to finish gathering all the ingredients I need for my potions.

But today, I actually ditched combat class.

Well...

I only did this so I could finish gathering the ingredients today.

I think Mr. Grid is probably very mad right now.

"Don't worry, sir. Your student is working hard."

I say this proudly while placing my fist against my chest.

Because I can't stand it anymore.

Mr. Grid has been throwing me a grudgeful look every time because I always leave the training grounds early.

I need to finish gathering the ingredients now so I can train for real and show him that I am a very hardworking student.

"Oh, my God! Cadet Emi Crowley, you are actually very hardworking. You didn't disappoint me..."

The thought of him praising me will be worthwhile.

A silly laugh escapes me as I roam around the garden.

This function is very helpful inside a dungeon.

I was able to mark the locations where the ingredients I need can be found, so if I need more later, I can simply go back to the marked locations.

I reach a large open space where no large plants grow.

There are only small plants, grass, and a large tree standing in the middle.

After looking around for a while, I realize...

"This must be the Tree of Acadia."

The tree looks truly dazzling.

Its leaves have a golden color and shine brightly.

Its trunk and branches look almost like glass, and countless Arcane Fruits hang from them.

I slowly approach the tree, mesmerized by the view.

The tree...

I think it's around 100 meters tall.

I can only say one thing.

Being close to the tree is incredibly relaxing and refreshing because of the magic power it releases.

And if the tree is ever used for a dark or evil plan, the person responsible will be erased from existence.

This was also one of the ways the Gods and Goddesses who now reside within the tree protected it from being exploited.

Because of the enormous amount of magic power circulating through the tree, it produces so many fruits that some of them eventually fall to the ground.

I pick one of the fruits from the ground.

Sadly, I can't use it in a potion.

The magical force released by the tree travels around the world.

It carries a message from Acadia to the other trees where the Gods and Goddesses reside, letting them know about Emi Crowley's existence.

An elf with long white hair and glasses that look like they belong to a 40-year-old man is sitting in a chair, doing paperwork in a principal-like office.

The magical force reaches the Elf Domain.

"!!!... Framie, did you feel that?"

The elf sitting in the chair senses it and speaks to the female elf attendant standing beside him.

"What do you mean, sir?" she asks.

"Hmmmm..."

Then he continues with his work.

The magical force travels through the domain.

"Ohhh!!... What's with this magical force?"

A demon with a childlike figure sits on a very luxurious throne with an evil-like design.

"What is this? Is this a declaration of war? Lucifer, do you know what it is?"

They are in a place covered in shadows, so their faces and appearances cannot be clearly seen.

However, they have human-like figures.

"I don't think so. It doesn't carry any hostility. It feels like it contains some kind of message, but I don't understand it."

Lucifer answers.

"Hmmm... okay."

The demon leans back on the throne.

"How many years has Lendel been peaceful like this?"

"It's been almost more than a thousand years now."

"Hmmmm..."

"Don't worry. The preparation is underway. It will take a few more years, though, and you still need to recover your powers."

"Okay. I can wait."

He pauses for a moment.

"I just woke up recently."

He then looks around.

"You said it's been more than a thousand years, right?"

"I still need to explore Lendel and see how much it has changed."

He stands up and stretches.
