Chapter 47:
A Journey of True Love Under a Cherry Tree
Silva and her friends arrive back to the capital sooner than expected, but this time Lord Julian rolled out the welcome wagon. Over a hundred officers and former guild members were blocking their path, so the only way to get past them was fighting through them.
“Friends, thank you for coming with me on this journey. I never thought this will lead us to form bonds of friendship and take on an evil man together,” Silva said in a position to fight.
“Yes, it seems we are an interesting group of misfits,” Raquel points out.
“I am glad to see my best friend again. Best of all I got to shop for shoes at all the best shops,” Lisa said in a cheery mood.
“Yes, we are glad we got our mommy back and got to travel with her too, even though it was a short amount of time,” Greer and Grace said together.
“Yeah, this is the most fun I had in a long time,” Simon said blushing.
“Yeah, it was great,” Seth said kindly.
“Yes, let’s go kick some butt,” Rajah said happily.
“Ok, now that we all agree, remember the laws of the guild do not apply to us in this fight, so you are free to kill, now let’s go,” Silva said charging in first.
Both sides marched toward each other ready to strike.
Silva being the fastest was able to strike first with her sword as she broke through the center trying to get through. Many have already fallen from the thrust of her sword, but many filled in the gaps to block her path. This was not going to stop her as she was determined to reach the top of the palace to kill Lord Julian. Silva and her friends might have been outnumbered and exhausted from fighting an army, but they will not stop fighting them off.
Arriving at the climax of the fight, knocking out as many people as they can to gain entrance to the palace. Reaching the gates of the palace seemed quiet, but breaking down the gate made the rest of the army rush to block the intruders from reaching Lord Julian.
Silva continues to defeat this army with her friends trying to make an opening for her to reach the palace. Luckily, Silva, Terrance, and Rajah manage to break through only to leave her friends behind.
“Silva, go on ahead, we will take care of things here,” Julius said, trying to hold the goons back to protect Silva.
“But…I can help!” Silva shouted.
“You already helped enough, go and save the world,” Scout shouted.
“Alright, please be careful, come on you two,” Silva said crying.
Silva, Terrance and Rajah entered the palace and to their surprise nothing was not in their way in going after Lord Julian. There was even a glowing path left for them to follow to the top of the palace.
“This is it Terrance, we are entering the lion’s den, are you ready?” Silva asked, a bit nervous about the whole thing.
“When I am with you, I am ready for anything,” Terrance said leaning down to kiss her.
“Right, let’s go,” Silva said, running up the stairs.
Silva and Terrance followed the path to the top of the palace where the doors opened upon their arrival. As they entered the room, they saw Lord Julian in a not so stable condition.
“Welcome, I was beginning to wonder if you were going to show up at all,” Lord Julian said, sounding weaker.
“Lord Julian, what is wrong with you? You do not look so good,” Silva shouted.
“I feel just fine, in fact better than fine. I have all the power I need to rule this world and not even you can stop me,” Lord Julian said really in the darkness zone.
“No, Lord Julian, this is not you, no one can survive with this much magic, it can kill you. Return what you stole and you will live. I can tell you are already dying,” Silva said observing his condition.
“You stupid girl, you do not know anything about magic. In fact, why don’t you show me what you got,” Lord Julian said, cutting the small talk and attacking Silva first.
Silva managed to dodge the attack and countered with her own magic.
“How is this possible? I stole your magic from you!” Lord Julian shouted in shock.
“Let’s just say I got a little bit of help. Now should we continue,” Silva said, resuming attacking the lord.
Most of this fight was proving who had the strongest magic, but it was not helping in this fight. It seemed every time Lord Julian was using his magic continue to grow weaker and unstable while losing his humanity at an alarming rate.
Silva shouldn’t care about the well-being of her enemy, but in this case, it was her fault he has become this.
“Lord Julian, you have to stop this, you will die at this rate,” Silva pleads.
“Save me, it is already too late. I am a god and I am ready to kill you,” Lord Julian said at last, giving up his humanity and becoming a full god.
Now becoming a god, it will be even harder to defeat him. His magic was flowing out of control from his body, but still more powerful than her. Silva did not know what to do, but she would have to become a full goddess to defeat this mad man. She will do anything to defeat him no matter what she has to sacrifice.
She is now a goddess, but not a full one. She did not care as she wanted to do everything she could to defeat him once and for all.
“What!? How can you have your powers when I stole them from you?” Lord Julian asked in anger.
“Let’s just say I had a little help from a few friends,” Silva said, ready to take action.
“Then let us see these powers of yours,” Lord Julian said, blasting Silva to the ground.
Lord Julian and Silva resume attacking each other, but it seems they were equally matched in combat, but in magic Lord Julian had the upper hand. They moved back ready for the next wave of attacks. Terrance came to her protecting her the best he can in case Lord Julian thought of attacking a woman.
Silva cannot let this go any further, so she had to do the one thing she was hoping to avoid since the start of this journey.
“Terrance, I am sorry,” Silva whispered in his ear.
Terrance, knowing what she was going to do, decides to protect her from Lord Julian to save her life.
“My name is Princess Silva of Earthnia and I am ready to become a goddess, so I am ready to give up my human…,” Silva said before being cut off by Terrance jumping in to take the strike that was meant for her.
“Terrance!” Silva shouts. “Why did you do that?”
“I love you. Promise me you will live a happy life with your daughters. Remember I will always love you. Wait for me in the place we first met,” Terrance said as he disappeared.
“Terrance, no! Please come back!” Silva shouts breaking into tears losing the man she loves like this.
Soon after, she begins to glow with a bright light surrounding her and she is a full goddess now. She broke in tears losing the man she loves. She will not let his sacrifice be in vain, so she has to take a life to make this right. With this new found magic, she will now have the upper hand to take Lord Julian’s life.
“What am I losing? How is this possible?” Julian said a little worried.
“Because you did not lose someone you loved to unlock the full potential of the powers you stole. You are a power hungry idiot who could not master powerful magic. Good-bye, Lord Julian,” Silva said, launching one final attack killing Lord Julian once and for all.
“No!” Julian shouted before disappearing into nothingness.
With Julian dead, all the magic he stole was returned to their original owners. Cheers can be heard all over the capital that they have their magic returned and free from the tyrant. What remaining magic that did not return to their owners, Silva flew all across the world, returning them to the deceased, so they can rest in peace.
Once the task was done, she returned to the capital where her friends were just finishing up defeating the army of fools.
“Silva, you did it, you saved the world,” Rufus said all excitedly.
“Yes,” Silva said, breaking down to tears.
“Silva, where is Terrance?” Lisa asked.
“He sacrificed his life for me to become this,” Silva vaguely said, continuing to cry.
“Oh, Silva, I am so sorry,” Lisa said feeling depressed.
“I am sorry Silva, I know how much you loved him,” Raquel said kindly.
“Yes, but I will be fine,” Silva said, wiping off her tears.
“I am sorry, Silva. I know he loves you,” Rufus says, sad about losing a friend.
“What are you planning on doing now?” Raquel asked.
“I think I am going to return home,” Silva said, wiping away her tears.
“Silva, are you sure?” Lisa asked worriedly.
“Yes. I think it is time to go home and restore my kingdom’s former glory. I also hope I can see Terrance there as well,” Silva explains.
“What about the guild?” Raquel asked.
“I will deal with the guild later. I will miss all of you,” Silva said, crying some more.
“Mommy, we are going to miss you,” Greer and Grace said together.
“My lovely daughters. I am sorry to do this since we barely reunited, but we would have to say good-bye again and I will miss you. Remember mommy, will always love you,” Silva said, as she hugs her girls and cries along with them.
“Silva, take the girls with you. I’ll bet they will love living with you after all these years,” Raquel suggests.
“What about Master?” Silva asks, wiping her tears.
“Don’t worry, I will take care of my Master. Children should be with their mother,” Raquel says, trying not to cry.
“Alright girls. I hope you will enjoy being princesses,” Silva said happily hugging her girls with joy.
“Yeah, we get to live with mommy. Come on, Greer look a bit more cheery,” Grace said, jumping around with joy.
“Of course I am happy,” Greer said smiling.
“Thank you Raquel. I will miss you,” Silva says, hugging her old friend.
“Sil, I am going to miss you. How are we going to share our clothes now?” Lisa said crying hugging her friend.
“We will think of something or you can come to visit,” Silva replies teasingly.
“Silva. We might not have always been friends, but I will always be thankful for saving us and I promise to repay my debt to you,” Julius kindly thanked her.
“Yes, thank you Silva,” Scout said, about to cry.
“It is my pleasure, please take care of yourselves and stay out of trouble,” Silva warned.
“Yeah, we promise, take care,” Julius said, giving a hug to Silva and leaving with Scout.
“I think I will head home too. I have not seen my parents for a while,” Rufus said, joining Silva’s party.
“If we are ready to leave, then this is good-bye and I hope one day we will see each other again soon,” Silva said walking away.
“Wait, let’s travel to the guild hall together and then go our own ways,” Lisa kindly suggested.
“Yeah, let’s go,” Julius said kindly.
“Alright, one last adventure,” Silva excitedly traveled with her friends on one last adventure.
