May or May Not Lose Love

A girl named Maya traveled around the world with her family for a long time and she had fun exploring new places. It seems she enjoyed it very much and she could be happy, but none of this could replace what she always wanted, which is love. She might have traveled to meet so many people, making new friends, and thieving, but she never found love. All the people she ever loved either died or left her alone with so much pain. After dealing with so much heartbreak and pain, Maya vowed to never fall in love again.

It might have been a good idea for the longest time, but she broke this rule when she first met Michael. It seems Michael fell in love with her instantly too since he never experienced loving himself either. They spend all their time together whenever they are free from their duties working at the palace. Maya worked as a dancer at the palace as well as training as a magician and Michael is a trained magician serving as a head guard to the king. Maya and Michael secretly share romantic moments and kisses alone when no one is around, so they can be together. Maya and Michael promise each other they love each other and vow that nothing can break them apart.

It is a notion if she did not know someone else loved Michael as well. Her friend Irene has been in love with Michael ever since they both came to the palace to work as guards to the king. As she sees Maya and Michael always together in the palace, she always watches from a distance out of jealousy. Maya knew Irene might like someone but never knew who it was until something happened on one faithful day.

On a hot sunny afternoon, Maya is on a romantic date with Michael in the park having a picnic. They stayed there into night fall to star gaze before heading home. This is the best date Maya has ever been on for a long time. As Maya is viewing the stars, Michael surprises her with an embrace and whispers in her ear saying, “I love you.” Those three little words stun her so much, leaving her in shock, but suddenly replies back to him, “I love you too.” They both stay in the embrace and share a romantic kiss.

Before it got too late, Michael escorts her home and shares one last kiss with her before the night ends. After Michael leaves, Maya could only think about her perfect date with Michael and the amazing kiss they shared. As she is walking back to her room, she walks past her friend Irene, looking upset about what she saw between Maya and Michael. Then Maya automatically knew from her expression on her face that Irene was also in love with Michael.

Maya is heart-broken, hurting her friend like this taking something she clearly wanted for a long time. Maya loves Michael so much, but she also valued her friendship with Irene. She had to do something to fix this; she had to make sure Irene was given the chance to confess her feelings to Michael. In order for Maya’s plan to work, she left Irene and Michael notes to meet and talk about their feelings towards each other. She does hope this plan works out because she never wants to hurt her friends and no matter what the outcome will be, she will always love Michael.

After Maya leaves the notes, she starts packing her things and waits at the edge of the city for Michael. The condition she left for him is, if he loves her and meets her at the spot where they first met before sunset, then she knows he loves her, but if he does not show up, then she knows their love is not meant to be. At least Maya will have the memories of the love she shared with Michael and experiencing love for the first time.

When sunset arrives, Maya arrives at the first spot she met Michael for the first time. Maya sits in the same place continuing to wait for Michael and remembering the wonderful memories she shared with him. The love Maya she shared with Michael filled her heart which becomes more complicated, but she will be ok if she loses this love because she can always find it again one way or the other.

The sunset is approaching the end, and Maya starts to get ready to leave the city. She looks around for any sight of Michael, but there is no sign. It seems she will be losing another love, but she is ok with that. Before she leaves, she takes one last look at the city to say good-bye but suddenly sees Michael running towards her and runs directly into her arms to give her a passionate kiss. Maya cries happy to see him here and returns his kiss knowing he actually chooses her.

After their embrace, Michael tells her what happened between him and Irene. Michael explains he did hear Irene’s confession, but he could not return her feelings. He also said to Irene that he is in love with Maya and will never let her go. Maya could only cry happily and hug Michael until nightfall. Then they took a romantic stroll together before they had to say good night.

Since that day, Maya and Michael have been inseparable and will never lose the love they share no matter what obstacle they face. And so, Maya finally gets her wish of finally being in love and finding love, but she vows to never let go of love again.
