Yuto's Answer

Yuto's faint smile held the battlefield in place.

Even the League waited.

After fighting him again and again that night, they understood how dangerous he was. As an enemy, he was a nightmare. As an ally, he would be terrifyingly reliable.

Kurogiri's tone was measured.

"Having Yuto Kanzaki as an ally would be a strong choice."

Twice coughed once and laughed.

"As an enemy, he is awful. As a teammate, he would be great. I hate him. I want him on our side."

Toga's cheeks flushed as she stared at Yuto.

"Being on the same side as Yuto-kun sounds fun. He is exactly my type."

Mr. Compress tilted his head.

"No one refuses All For One lightly. If Kanzaki joins us, the League will become something much larger."

On the other side, Class 1-A looked worried.

Yuto was the center of their formation, but more than that, he was the person who had pulled them through the forest camp.

Momo watched him closely.

"Yuto would not join them... right?"

Mina swallowed.

"All For One is a legend. His offer has to be tempting."

Midoriya shook his head.

"Yuto-kun promised us. He said he would build his own agency."

Ochaco nodded firmly.

"Yuu-kun is not that kind of person."

Todoroki's voice was quiet but certain.

"All For One may be powerful, but Kanzaki is someone I respect. I believe in his choice."

Bakugo snorted.

"That idiot would fight All For One before joining him."

Tsuyu's eyes stayed on Yuto.

"That sounds like Yuto-chan."

The battlefield went completely silent.

Yuto looked toward the dark gate where All For One's voice had come from.

"Compared with joining you, I'm much more interested in defeating you."

For a heartbeat, no one spoke.

Then the entire camp froze.

Yuto had rejected All For One.

Not only that, he had challenged him.

All For One laughed softly.

"Ridiculous. Do you understand your position?"

A figure stepped out of one of the black gates.

He wore a neat black suit and a large mask. His presence pressed down on the clearing like a weight.

All For One had arrived in person.

Class 1-A could barely move under the pressure.

"Yuto Kanzaki," All For One said. "Do you regret that answer?"

Yuto stood exhausted, wounded, and nearly out of strength.

Even so, his eyes stayed calm.

"The one who should regret this is you."

He smiled.

"All For One, do you know what a nightmare is?"

"You don't? Then remember this. I will become your nightmare."
