Prologue

The Great Houses, always known for their wealth and power, ruled all the attainable universe. 10 star systems for 10 houses, these houses created immense amounts of power on the corpses of their common folk until they began to fight amongst each other.

What is now known as The Second Great War began with fracturing alliances and ever-changing allies coming and going. This is now known as possibly the bloodiest and largest war in the history of the human race.

As the war raged on, food became scarce in many systems, and once supplies ran out, the common folk revolted. The first to fall was House Loa, though once one fell, the rest went with it. Before long, all but one of the houses were left under the control of their noble bloodline, that being House Leto. They moved swiftly and took the core system for their own and replenished food throughout the system.

With control over the systems, House Leto became the Imperium and began setting up new rules and resetting the star calendar to the year 1. This marked the end of the Second Great War. The Great Houses were restored to their former positions of power under the veil of the new Imperium.

Surprisingly, the Great Houses didn’t revolt in any way and instead helped their people to begin a long reign of prosperity. It is noted by many Wriths now that something had to have pushed them back. Whether it was the scare of another uprising or something greater, no one will truly know.

After nearly 100 years of peace, talk of revolution began between the Great Houses, mostly led by House Kohta. House Kohta was eager to reclaim the core system, which was formerly theirs, including the Capital Planet, home to over 20 billion people. Though all of the houses Varys, Barokeen, Tywin, Roslian, Loa, Numa, Eylian, Hongar, and Kohta viewed the Imperium differently, there was some stench of deceit among them as well.
