Chapter 0:

The Earth Is No Longer Yours

EYE OF THE TEMPEST

One month before the Tempest crossed to Earth

It was an ordinary day in Muscat. Cars moved along their usual routes, and life flowed between the sea and the mountains with a calm rhythm that gave no hint of what was waiting for the city.
Nothing about that morning gave anyone a reason to look toward the sky.

Then the light began to change without warning.

The daylight suddenly dimmed.
Heavy shadows stretched across the roads and buildings—shadows that hadn't been there moments before.
A few pedestrians looked up, then others followed.
Cars slowed one after another.
Within seconds, everyone was staring in the same direction

Clouds were gathering above the city faster than any ordinary storm.
They didn't move with the wind or spread the way clouds usually did when the weather turned.
Instead, they were drawn toward a single point, circling it in wide rings, layer upon layer, until they covered much of the sky.
Then, slowly, a shape began to emerge.

A giant eye had opened above Muscat

For a few moments, everything seemed to stop.
Some drivers stepped out of their cars. Pedestrians froze where they stood.
Then phones were raised in every direction.
No one knew exactly what they were filming or what they would do with those images afterward.
But lifting a camera became a shared instinct.
Perhaps trapping the scene inside a small screen made it feel less impossible, giving the mind a little more time to understand what the eyes could not believe.

It was not a natural phenomenon. Science had no name for it and no explanation that could make sense of what people were seeing.
Yet it was enough to reveal one undeniable truth: Earth was no longer alone.
A new visitor had arrived without invitation.

The eye remained fixed in the sky, watching the city in silence.
No sound. No signal. No threat.
Yet its silence was more terrifying than any spoken threat could have been.

Then came the first scream.
No one knew where it came from, but it shattered the stillness.
A second followed. Then dozens more.
In a single moment, reason gave way, and chaos took control.

One person ran. Others followed without knowing where they were going.
Cars moved in opposite directions as horns blared, and the roads quickly became choked with people trying to escape something they could not even understand.
Some phones fell beneath rushing feet.
Others remained frozen where they stood, unable even to move.

Within minutes, the scene had spread across the world.

The Eye appeared on screens, in news broadcasts, and across hundreds of live streams.

What was happening felt like a horror film—but this time, it was not playing inside a cinema.

It was unfolding in front of everyone at once.

But this time, watching was not a choice.

Everyone who lived through that moment was already inside the nightmare.

And none of them knew how to escape it.

Some tried to convince themselves they were dreaming, that the city would disappear when they opened their eyes again.
But the sky remained unchanged. The Eye still hung above Muscat, and the truth remained the same.
It was not a dream.
This was the new reality.

The Eye left no message, no evidence, not even a hint

It hung above the city like a giant question mark

And what made it even more terrifying was the certainty that the absence of an answer was deliberate

Rion, King of the Tempest, could have left an explanation—or at least a sign that gave humanity something to hold on to.
He chose not to.
He left the Eye above the city exactly as it was, along with a question he knew the entire world would soon be desperate to answer.

When the human mind fears the unknown, imagination does not wait for the truth to reveal itself.

It races ahead toward the worst possibility it can imagine.

And the most dangerous answers were not the ones that came from the sky.

They were the ones humanity wrote with its own hands.

Everyone asked why the Eye chose Muscat.
No one asked what Oman was hiding.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Days after the Eye appeared above Muscat, the Eye was no longer the only mystery.

Its image was still replaying across screens.

Governments were searching for an explanation—something people could hold on to.

Then another mystery emerged.

Stranger than the first.

This time, it did not come from the sky.

It came from Earth.

As the day of the Tempest crossing drew closer, Earth no longer felt like a distant world to Kyle.
Only a few weeks remained before they would reach it and make it their new home.
He had grown used to following its news through the screens of the operations room.
Then one headline caught his attention.

Ghostly Figures Break Into a Mummy Storage Facility and Vanish Into a Mysterious Storm

He opened the leaked surveillance footage.
A group of men appeared inside the mummy storage room, though the cameras never showed how they had entered.
They ignored the gold and valuable artifacts around them.
Instead, they went straight to a specific group of mummies and began taking samples.

The alarm went off before they could finish.
They moved quickly toward the rear courtyard.
As security forces approached the building, a storm began to form around them.
The winds spun within a tight circle and grew stronger within seconds.
Soon, the group disappeared behind the storm.
When the winds finally died down, the courtyard was empty.

The comments beneath the report multiplied quickly.

Some called the men ghosts.

Others believed the storm had been a gateway between Earth and another world.

Within hours, old theories began to resurface.

Had ancient Egypt once been in contact with beings from beyond Earth? Why had the group targeted a mummy storage facility?

Kyle read the comments without interest.

Aliens. Ghosts. Jinn.

None of it mattered to him.

All that mattered was that the samples had been taken and were already on their way to the Tempest laboratories.

There, the next phase of Project Sun Code would begin.

For four thousand five hundred years, the secret had remained buried.

Now, it was beginning to awaken.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After what happened in Muscat and the incident at the mummy storage facility, Earth had seen enough to know that something unusual was happening.
But once again, there was no explanation.
Rion decided it was time to give humanity its first glimpse of the truth.
He had no intention of revealing the whole picture.
Only a small part of it.

For that reason, the Tempest organization began preparing for a massive event at Boulevard Riyadh.

They considered it a regional center.

Any event held there could become a global phenomenon within hours.

On the surface, the event appeared to be a global presentation of an advanced hologram device
But the real purpose was to turn the live broadcast into an introduction to Rion and the Tempest Clan
It would present the world of Valerion, along with the clan’s history, status, and emblem

The choice of Valerion would appear to be a natural part of the scientific reveal.
Eilan, the leader of the Tempest organization's ground operations, would present the reveal.
No one would realize what they were actually watching.
The world on the screen was the homeland of the force that would stand before them only days later.

At Boulevard Riyadh, the audience had gathered for a massive event.
A large number of media figures and public personalities were in attendance.
The area filled with crowds and giant screens, while channels and platforms began broadcasting the event live to viewers around the world.

As soon as the device was activated, the screens began displaying the scenes.

They carried the audience through different regions inside a world they had never seen before.

Vast cities appeared, along with palaces, roads, and mountains.

The landscape and architecture were unlike anything known to humans.

Silence fell over the audience for a few moments.
All eyes remained fixed on the screens, in obvious amazement at what they were seeing.
Many began recording the presentation on their phones.
Others exchanged looks of astonishment and disbelief.

The presentation continued from one scene to another, gradually approaching the continent of Novaria.
It then settled within the Kingdom of Valerion.
At that point, Eilan began introducing the audience to the kingdom and the clan they were watching.
Eilan said, “This is the Kingdom of Valerion, one of the oldest kingdoms on the continent of Novaria.”
The presentation then moved to the region where the Tempest Clan lived.
The clan’s buildings and guards appeared on the screens before Eilan continued.
“This is the homeland of the Tempest Clan, one of the oldest clans in the Kingdom of Valerion, and one of its most powerful and prestigious clans

The broadcast then moved to the palace where Rion had lived.
The camera moved slowly through its vast courtyards, stone corridors, and high towers.
Their peaks disappeared into the mist of Valerion.
It was as if the audience were being invited, little by little, to step into a world they had never seen before.

Eilan continued, pointing toward the palace.
“In this palace lived Rion, the prince who was exiled from his world. His people chose to leave their land and go with him.”
A quiet sense of confusion spread through the front rows.
Amazement was no longer the only feeling among the audience.
Doubt had begun to creep in.

One man whispered to the person beside him that what they were watching could not possibly be a live broadcast.
A woman said aloud that the scenes were undoubtedly generated by artificial intelligence.
The whispers quickly turned into objections.
Their voices rose until they could be clearly heard from the stage.

Eilan did not appear unsettled.
He looked at the audience for a long moment, then said calmly, “You have every right to doubt everything you have seen.”
He fell silent for a few moments, as if giving that doubt time to reach its full extent.
Then, looking directly at them, he added, “Just remember what you saw today. You will need it soon.”

As soon as Eilan finished speaking, he shut down the device.

At that same moment, lightning flashed above Boulevard Riyadh.

It was not ordinary lightning.

A white flash tore across the sky from one side to the other, followed by a powerful crash of thunder that made every head rise at once.

The clouds began to move, not with the wind, but against it.

They gathered and circled as they slowly descended above the stage, as if answering a call.

Then the Eye of the Tempest appeared.

The same Eye the world had seen above Muscat days earlier appeared again.
A perfect circle of dark clouds surrounded a glowing opening at its center, looking directly down at the Earth below.
A stunned silence spread through the audience.
Then a small storm began to form at the heart of the place.
It circled the stage and gradually expanded until it surrounded Eilan and the team with him.

The crowd instinctively moved back from the area around the stage.
Screams rose around them.
Phones trembled as they recorded, while feet hurried away.
Then the winds suddenly became completely still.
Abrupt. Unnatural.
The storm vanished.
And with it, Eilan and every member of his team disappeared before hundreds of people and thousands of cameras that had been broadcasting everything live.

The Eye of the Tempest remained visible in the sky for a few more seconds.

It hung above them, silent and watching.

Then it disappeared just as it had appeared.

It left no trace behind.

What was supposed to be an advertisement for a device had turned, before the eyes of the world, into a new mystery.

At the same moment, on the opposite side of the Boulevard, the screens installed across the facade of one of Riyadh’s most famous buildings lit up.

What appeared on them had been arranged days before the event.

It had been presented to the responsible authority as nothing more than an advertisement for a science fiction film.

A film about an invasion coming from another world and threatening planet Earth.

As soon as the presentation began, the entire facade of the building was filled with a massive image of Rion.
His face was calm, his gaze difficult to forget.
Beside him appeared the Tempest symbol.
Directly beneath it, the campaign slogan stretched across the building in enormous letters:

THE EARTH IS NO LONGER YOURS

To the world, it seemed like nothing more than an exaggerated promotional slogan for a new science fiction film.
In reality, it was the first honest description of what was waiting for them.

As soon as Rion's image appeared on the tower, people immediately recognized the face.
It was the same face that had appeared moments earlier in the live broadcast.
Beside him were the Eye symbol and the emblem of the Tempest Clan.
Within minutes, the earlier clips began circulating again.
The symbol from Muscat was placed beside the one from Riyadh.
The similarity could no longer be ignored.
The symbol was the same.
And so was the storm.

At that point, the events that had seemed separate began to turn into a single story.

The question shifted from who had entered the mummy storage facility to why the Tempest were searching for the mummies.

Eilan's disappearance no longer seemed like a staged trick, but evidence that he possessed the same means.

The media returned to statements and reports that had spoken for years about the possibility of beings from beyond Earth.

What had once been only a possibility had become a reality.

The world had witnessed it in front of the cameras.

The Tempest had truly appeared.

They had succeeded in introducing the world to their realm and their king.

But their appearance had provided no answers.

Instead, it left one question dominating everyone’s thoughts:

What does Rion want from Earth?

And who is Rion?

To find the answers to those questions, we have to go back ten months.
