*Chapter 5 - The Village Falls*

In this situation, the young stranger had to make a choice. Would he kill an innocent man for his own life, or would he betray his boss and risk his own life?

If he did it, this would be his first time killing a human being.

He just stared at the same spot for 4-5 seconds.

The old stranger was gesturing with his hands. _Finish it._

At that moment, he was thinking to himself: "Damn, I wish I never came. I wish I hadn't been greedy for money that day. What the fuck have I done..."

At that moment, he remembered how he met the boss. The boss's words: _"Look kid, once you get into this business, there's no getting out for life. After a while, even if you want to, you can't quit."_

Right at that moment, the old stranger whispered in his ear without the soldier noticing: _"Do you remember what happened to the two idiots who couldn't handle the job last time? You wouldn't want the same to happen to us, would you?"_

The young stranger's face tensed up. Those horrific moments came to his mind. His hand went to his mouth.

Inside, he said, "God forgive me."

The old stranger understood from his movements. In an instant, he got behind the soldier, covered his mouth with one hand, locked his back with his other arm, and slammed the door shut hard with his foot.

In that silence, the young stranger took out the razor-sharp thing he had hidden in his mouth. His eyes were full of tears, his hands were trembling.

"Forgive me... I have to do it," he whispered, and finished the job.

The soldier didn't even understand what happened. His hand went to the knife on his waist, but it was already too late for him.

The young stranger just remained there. He had killed someone for the first time. And he was crying.

The soldier's blood painted the hay and the ground red. He just remained there where he was. The old stranger touched his shoulder and said in a cold voice, "Don't worry, you'll get used to it in time. Don't think about these things now, there's still the guard outside."

The young stranger just stared at the corpse for a while.

He thought for a while, in his inner voice, "Sorry, I had to do it, otherwise I would have died."

Then he stood up. Did he do what he did with his own free will, or was he under someone else's control?
