The Flash was afraid of a gun?

Damon could barely stand to watch it. Barry Allen really had earned his crown as the king of getting humbled. Even when no one gave him an opening, he still managed to stick his face out and invite the hit. Where had the Barry Allen who cheerfully asked Damon whether he would use a gun or a knife gone? Had Damon beaten the confidence out of him along with his pride?

Damon shook his head. Red lightning flashed, and he left.

As for Weather Wizard and Barry Allen?

Cleaning up the mess was not his problem. His purpose had already been achieved.

Damon had not been gone long when a gunshot rang out. The one who fell, however, was Clyde Mardon. With a storm that massive appearing over the city, the police naturally could not stand by and do nothing. After receiving the report, Joe West rushed to the scene immediately. He saw how Clyde Mardon created the storm, and he saw the Flash, Barry Allen.

Honestly, Joe West was stunned.

Only when Clyde Mardon drew a gun did Joe snap back to himself. Acting on instinct, he fired and killed Clyde.

The shot faded. Clyde Mardon fell.

At the same time, other officers who had received the call arrived. Joe was about to say something to Barry Allen, but Barry had already vanished.

One storm, one bullet. Joe West had ended the incident almost by himself.

Clyde Mardon was dealt with, but Barry Allen had a larger problem waiting for him.

Inside S.T.A.R. Labs, Cisco Ramon, Harrison Wells in his wheelchair, and Barry Allen all stared straight at Caitlin Snow.

Caitlin shifted uncomfortably.

"All right," she said. "Fine. Damon told me Clyde Mardon would attack S.T.A.R. Labs."

That morning, Caitlin had not told the others she had seen Damon the night before. Then the emergency hit, and the moment Barry arrived, he rushed out to face Clyde Mardon.

"Weather Wizard. That is the name I just came up with for Clyde Mardon," Cisco said, naming him almost by reflex before continuing. "How did the Shock Freak know Weather Wizard was going to attack S.T.A.R. Labs?"

"He said..." Caitlin hesitated. "He said he forced Weather Wizard to do it."

Barry frowned.

"Who is this Damon, or Shock Freak, or whatever he is?"

"He once kidnapped Caitlin and forced me to make a sonic device for him," Cisco said. "Then he disappeared. Later, someone in Starling City called the Huntress kidnapped Caitlin to ask about him, but Black Canary rescued her. The sonic device Black Canary used was the one I made."

Cisco sounded a little proud for half a second. When no one reacted, he quickly returned to the point.

"I called him the Shock Freak because he has powers. He can release electricity."

"He had powers before the particle accelerator explosion?" Barry asked, shocked and confused as he looked at Caitlin. "Then why would he force Clyde Mardon to attack S.T.A.R. Labs?"

"I... I do not know."

Caitlin suspected Damon had done it because of what he had asked her the previous night, but she still shook her head.

"So the Shock Freak was coming after us?" Cisco summarized.

"Barry," Harrison Wells said, pushing his glasses up. "He was most likely coming after Barry. If he wanted to attack the lab, he would not have warned Caitlin in advance. His target was Barry."

"Me? Why?" Barry asked, surprised. "I have never even met him."

"You have," Caitlin said. "He is the man you saw with red Speed Force lightning. But he is not the person who killed your mother."

"Speed Force?"

Harrison Wells was faintly startled. So far, he had never mentioned that term to Caitlin or the others.

So it was Damon?

He had the Speed Force too?

"It was him!"

Barry did not notice the Speed Force detail. He turned to Caitlin, agitated.

"How do you know? You saw him?"

"I... I saw him last night."

Damon had not hidden the fact that he had the Speed Force, and he had already met Barry Allen. Caitlin felt there was no harm in saying it, especially if it stopped Barry from mistaking Damon for his mother's killer.

"I want to see him," Barry said in a low voice.

Caitlin sighed helplessly.

"His phone is off. If I manage to contact him, can I let you know?"

Barry nodded.

"Whether or not he killed Barry's mother is one issue," Harrison Wells said, warning them all. "What is obvious is that this person has the Speed Force, just like Barry. His attitude toward Barry is unclear, so for safety, all of you should be careful for a while. No one knows what he might do."

In truth, Harrison was more anxious than anyone.

An unknown speedster who seemed to know far too much was exactly the kind of problem he did not want to face right now.

His only goal was to keep Barry Allen safe and make him run faster. That meant he had to find a way to remove Damon Keller from the board.

With Harrison's current condition, killing Damon would probably be difficult. But driving him away, or giving him a few distractions so he had no time to keep watching Barry, should be possible.

For example, the Huntress or Black Canary, both of whom had been looking for him.

At the villa, Damon looked at Lilah and Valentina with a faint smile.

"If I understood you correctly, you want to leave me for a while and go out on your own?"

Lilah hurried to explain.

"Of course we do not want to leave Master. We want to find a quiet place to train our abilities and learn more about this world and this era. Only by constantly improving ourselves can we stay at Master's side forever."

"If Master needs us, we will come back immediately."

"I want to go back to the Soviet Union and see it," Valentina said. "Even though... it has already dissolved."

"Do not be so nervous. If you want to go, go," Damon said with an unconcerned smile. "Seeing you in front of me every day would get boring after a while anyway. Besides, I do not want to explain everything every time we land somewhere new, so use this time to study history."

"I already asked Laurie to take care of Master in our place," Lilah quickly added.

"All right, all right. Go."

Damon waved them off.

Conveniently, he also wanted to use Laurie to test whether he could give someone his Speed Force.
