Chapter 5:
Dinner time!

What happened last chapter:
"Because that's how much I care about our friendship!" Akira said blushing a bit out of embarrassment. "Wow.... anyways I think imma head out as well especially since it's 8 pm. Also my parents are probably waiting for me" Kaito let out a small laugh and waved at Akira and left.

Kaito walked back home and saw that his family was waiting outside for him. "What are you guys doing outside?" Kaito asked, "Dad said we are going out to eat" Kaito's little brother, Kenji said. "Oh where are we going?" Kaito said cursoicly, Ren then approached.
"Oh hey Ren!" Kaito said, waving his hand at Ren. "Hey, Kaito what are you guys doing?" Ren said, "We are going to eat out!" Kaito's little sister spun around looking at Ren. "Is that so? Well then Yumi, what will you get?" Ren said looking at Yumi, Kaito's little sister.
Both of Kaito's parents came out and saw Ren, "hey Ren how have you been?" Kaito's mother asked. "I'm good Mrs Tokiwa" Ren said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "Are ya coming with us tonight Ren?" Kaito's father asked, Ren shook his head "No no, you guys are eating out as a family I don't want to bother you" Ren said.
"Nonsense, you are basically apart of the family already. You already eat here a lot of days so it's fine" Kaito's mother said picking up Yumi. "Thanks I guess Mrs Tokiwa..." Ren said walking over to where Kaito was standing.
While they were walking to the train station, there was a guy who was a bit taller then Ren. "Hey! Ren!" The teenager said, "....What-" Ren said turning around and saw who it was. "I challenge you to a fight!" The teenager said pointing over at Ren. "Ren don't you think about it remember the power!?" Kaito said just loud enough for Ren to hear.
Ren didn't listen to Kaito and didn't ignore him either. " I'm off campus, I don't fight unless I'm at school" Ren said turning away from the teenager. "So your weak then? Such a same.... everyone that has fought you must've been weaker" The teenager said knowing that would get under his skin.
"Ren.... you're not weak- don't listen to him." Kaito said looking straight into Ren's eyes. Kaito's family stood there about to interrupt what was going on, but before they could Ren turned back around. "Ren don't...." Kaito said walking closer to Ren.
Ren didn't listen instead he walked closer to the other guy. " REN RYUZAKI! DO NOT FIGHT HIM!" Kaito yelled running after Ren and grabbed Ren's arm. "Let go Kaito, if he wants a fight I will fight him" Ren said pulling away from Kaito but then Kaito grabbed Ren's hands and stopped time.
"Why'd you stop time!?" Ren blurted out, "And how did I not freeze?" Ren said curiously. "Well while I was coming back home I asked Akira if there's a way to freeze time for others but not us. He said there could be a way and so I tried this and it worked-" Kaito said.
"Also please don't fight him, he could die from you fighting him. Especially with your anomaly....did you not listen to Akira about what happens!?" Kaito said as time unpaused. " Fine- I won't fight him" they started to walk away from the teenager. " Fine I guess you are a wimp!" The teenager said walking away.
"Sorry about that- we can go now" Ren said bowing to Kaito's mom. "Don't worry Ren, Kaito's father was also like that when he was younger" Kaito and his siblings laughed. " I was NOT like that!" Kaito's father said loudly. They then went to a restaurant and ate curry.
After they ate curry they took Ren back to his foster family's house. " Bye Ren! See you tomorrow at school!" Kaito said smiling and waved at Ren. " Bye Kaito....see ya tomorrow" Ren said going over to his house waving at them and went inside. Kaito and his family then went home and got ready for bed.
