Chapter 4:

The world is a lie – 4

The world is a lie

After Johnny left, Noor quietly picked up his bicycle and rode away into the darkness.

Later that night, Noor was walking through the quiet, dimly lit night streets after buying some food for himself. The evening air was calm, but the peace didn't last long.

Suddenly, the piercing scream of an old woman shattered the silence. A group of young boys had violently snatched her money bag and were desperately running away into the shadows.

Hearing her helpless cries, the people around the street immediately reacted. An uproar broke out as bystanders started shouting, "Thief! Thief!" A few brave individuals tried to step in and block their path, but the boys aggressively pushed past everyone, breaking through the crowd, and successfully escaped into the dark alleys.

As the commotion died down, some people standing by the roadside began to mutter with deep resentment, venting their anger.

"They were born greedy," one person spat out.

"They survive only by stealing what belongs to others," another chimed in, shaking his head in disgust.

"They are thieves by birth."

"They will never change. They will stay like this for the rest of their lives."

"Their parents probably taught them all this since childhood... how to snatch away what others earned through pain and hard work..."

All those harsh, judgmental words echoed heavily in Noor's ears. He didn't join the crowd, nor did he yell. Instead, he lowered his head silently and slowly began to walk again, leaving the shouting crowd behind.

As he walked further into the night, a profound, heavy thought kept spinning in his mind. As Noor walked silently through the dark streets, an old memory suddenly flashed back to him.

Once, in the past, he had actually fought against those very same boys. But a few days later, he saw them sitting helplessly beside the road, desperately eating leftover food that others had thrown away like trash.

That day, for the very first time in his life, Noor truly understood something profound—

Most of these street boys had never known the warmth or love of parents. Maybe they had seen them once when they were innocent children... but now, they couldn't even remember their faces.

From the very moment a person begins to understand the world, their natural instinct is to walk on the path of truth, to live a good life, and to become a good human being. But this world... it does not give everyone that equal chance.

Sometimes harsh circumstances, and sometimes the pure cruelty of people, slowly push a helpless person toward absolute darkness. But maybe... these boys could have become good people too, if only their parents had stayed alive... if only someone had taken the time to teach them the right way to live.

Noor's eyes slowly turned ice-cold.

And deep inside his soul, a fierce determination ignited. He made a solemn promise to himself—

'One day... I will create my own group.'

'And in that group, there will be boys who have no one left in this world. Because they have absolutely nothing left to lose.'

'They do not even fear death anymore.'

'Instead... they only wish to go far away from this starving world...'

'To a place... where there is no hunger, and no thirst...'
