The Mist Filled Forest

"We should all be rested up by now,so we should make our way through Caligo Forest to Wolford Village."

"But before we go I have changed my mind about not giving you my name since I will be traveling with you two for a good while and it's annoying to be called boy all the time."

"If so you can call me Charles and the person in the carriage is Lady Kaeda."

"You can just call me Kaeda you don't have to be so formal."

"Nice to meet you Kaeda and you two can call me Kane."

As the three chatted they were yet to find out the awaits them in the Caligo forest.

"But are you sure it is safe to go through that forest Charles." Kaeda inquired in an anxious tone.

"I am sure we will be safe as long as we don't vary of the dirt road in the forest. lady Kaeda."

"What makes the forest dangerous Charles."

Charles explained to Kane that the forest was dangerous since there is thick mist that covers it, which makes it hard for people to maneuver through it without getting lost. There is also said to be a monster who use the fog to catch humans.

"Now I understand so we have to be on high alert while we are in there, well you just focus on steering the carriage Charles and I will watch our backs."

The three on carriage made there way to the forest, as they reached the entrance of the Caligo Forest they where no sign of mist to be found.

"We might get lucky and they might not have any mist Charles." Cheerfully said Kaeda

"I wouldn't be to quick to assume that lady Kaeda."

As they progressed further through the forest they were no sign of any human or monster, for the moment but there was sense of uneasiness still around them, as the wind blew heavily through the trees.

"The mist is starting to setting Charles."

"This really is a thick fog but as long as we keep on the road we should be alright as I said earlier."

Creak!!

"What was that sound Kane?"

"That was probably just the wind Kaeda, am I right Charles."

"I don't think so Kane there seems to be something up ahead."

Charles stopped the carriage infront of mysterious silhouette a few meters away.

"It looks like a person, they are probably lost in the mist Charles."

"You might be right Lady Kaeda but we should still be on alert."

"I will Go and check, you guys just follow behind me slowly on the carriage."

Kane got off the carriage and walked towards the silhouette slowly, as his heart pounded.

Ah!! Ah!!

"Kane!!" the two on the carriage shouted in worry.

As the two quickly moved to where Kane was but they found the ground collapsed making the road impassable.

"I am ok you guys don't have to worry it wasn't a far drop."

"Thank goodness you are ok Kane."

"No need to worry about me Kaeda I will be up there in a second."

As Kane made his way back up, Charles looked for a way around the collapsed road but to no avail due to the mist making it hard to see.

"It seems that if we want to continue we would have to make a detour through the deeper part of the forest to go around the collapsed road."

"But didn't you say it would be dangerous to go off the road Charles."

"I will use illuminate to help us navigate through a bit better."

"Are you sure you want to use that Art lady Kaeda it takes up alot of mana."

"It's the only way for us to keep sight of the road as we are in the forest."

"If you insist."

Everything went quite as Kaeda concentrated all the mana in her body which she, Transformed into a bright light.

"WOW!! that is an impressive skill you have there Kaeda and we will get through the forest using it."

The three then made there way down to the forest depht while keeping there sight of the collapsed road.

"We are almost to there to the better part of the road just hold on Lady Kaeda."

Rawr!! Rawr!! Rawr!!

"That sounds like it's coming from behind us."

"We have to get going now it sounds like there is a whole army of them."

Charles then Got the Carriage moving swiftly through the forest.

"Kane you take control of the horses for a moment I am going to use my spear to get us up to the road!!"

"I will try my best."

Charles handed the reins to Kane as he quickly made his way to the left side wheel of the carriage.

"When the carraige flies up I want you to raise the reins to the left simultaneously."

"Understood."

Kane then followed Charles instruction cause the horses to jump with the sudden momentum to make there way back on the dirt road.

"We could slow down now Kane I don't think we are being followed anymore."

"I would do so if I knew how!"

Charles then took the reins from Kane and slowed down the carriage considerably.

"Those were some terrifying mana those monsters had."

"You could see there mana Kaeda."

"That is part of the art illuminate it shows the mana of monsters and people around me."

"That is a pretty handy Art indeed."

As they continued through the forest the mist cleared up showing them the exit to the Caligo forest.

As they reached open land the village of Wilford became visable.

"Wohh! I can see all the open fields planted with many vegetation."

"It is said to be one of the most agricultural prosperous village in the empire, hopefully we can get some supplies to reload."

Behind a tree a person dress in a black cloak hid themself as the trio passed.

"So they made it through the Caligo forest they are more resourceful than I thought."
