• Chapter #48: [FURTHER INVESTIGATION (2)] ♪~Fate… Always so cruel~♪ ♪~Fate… Throws us in random directions~♪ ♪~Standing strong, unbendable~♪ ♪~Yet we always defy it~♪ I picked up the unconscious man on his scruff, raising him. The music was still annoyingly playing, serving as the background effect.
Sigh I picked up several signatures. Looks like their reinforcements finally arrived. [Chains Of Gehenna] [Chains Of Gehenna], or also known as the chains of underworld. It’s a seal that would weaken it’s bound target. The more they resist, the more it would absorb their power and strength, as well as tightening further as it’s target struggles. It would be more than enough to maintain his unconscious state. I then dumped him within my shadow, to be interrogated later. Now, let’s regard our present guests. They were finally within my sights. As they continued their charge, I calmly walked towards them. They were merely goons, something I won’t have trouble with.
Pshoooowww!!! As I raised my left palm, a crimson magic circle appeared. A crimson beam of light shot out, lighting the cave in a crimson glow.
BOOM! The crimson beam released a powerful explosion upon hitting them, rocking the area we’re in and sending all the charging opponents flying. ♪~Undeterminable~♪ “13 left…”, I whispered, resuming my walk. ♪~The journey strikes hard~♪ Raising a finger, another beam of crimson light struck.

Alongside it, are groups of Casters, who had their respective magic spells in hand. It seems that they’ve finally learned that sending more of them would only make their manpower lessen. Hmph, but still, some simple prepping won’t be enough for me. ♪~You won’t know what it would do to you~♪ Purple magic circles appeared in their outstretched palms. In who I thought was their leader, grinned in joy, thinking that they had trapped me. Slowly, something floated in front of me. My eyes widened a bit at recognition. [Tear Of The Corrupted] They were within large vials, but there is no mistaking them.
“Telekinesis?” I muttered, a surprised form on my face as I watched the guy's hand turn purple from using telekinesis.
“Many people mistake this magic as Telekinesis, but they’re wrong…”, The man in the middle began speaking, making my attention turn away from the tears to them.
“This is simply gravity. The laws partaking in the forces of gravity are applied into this magic formula, certain gravity magic was applied to an object that had proper weights, and my hand used the power of force to manipulate the object from moving itself, creating the illusion of telekinesis.”, He explained to me. I raised my brows, he’s quite passionate. If he wasn’t some unknown villain, he would probably be one of the above-average mages here.
“It’s also one of the few ways to hold the [Tear Of The Corrupted] directly…”, He added further, his grin widening.
I see, so he plans to use it on me huh. “This is what you came for right?!”, He cried, before finishing off. “RELEASE!” One by one, the vials opened, and the black liquid they contained immediately shot themselves to me. Tch, since I have Miyanase’s [Rule Over Decay] imbued to my aura, the tears immediately targeted me, as death is also connected to souls. [Plotter’s Discernment: Active] [Eden Block] White light shown, and blocked the tears. Immediately, I made the barrier engulf the tears.
Kkrrickkk…! Even though [Eden Block] was a stronger variant of [Barrier], it seems that it’s still unable to handle the tears. “HAHAHAHA! IT’S NO USE!”, The leader howled and mocked me. Still, a grin formed on my face. Looks like they’re forgetting something. Observing everything in [Plotter’s Discernment], I quickly scanned the magic circles, and from them, created my own variant of the magic spell, with a bit of few theories of science and physics, One that only needed mana. Using my free hand, I raised them towards the vials on the ground.
[Multiplier]
Activating my mana-cost buff, I imitate his magic and my hand turns into a purple shade, I see, why I cannot see the magic he used because the shade of the light was similar to x-ray, the magic was simply an manipulation of electromagnetics, gravity and force, it's just the purple hue that connects the barrel and the hand was not visible to the naked eye, same goes to wavelengths.
[Gravimetric Field: Active] A transparent purple dome emerged from my body, before it engulfed everything. Now, it’s time to test it’s effects. Opening my palms, the vials appeared on my hand. Immediately, I let go of the barrier and took ahold of the tears using my newly created spell. The tears twitched a bit in resistance, before they were coated in a purple glow, signifying my success. Slowly, they entered the vials one by one, until nothing was left. The vials then closed themselves off magically. [Inventory] With a white glow, the vials dissipated into particles mid-air, going to my [Inventory]. I looked at them with my own matching grin and condescending eyes. ♪~Fate turns in every way~♪ “I-Impossible…! Copy Magic…?! No…”, Unfortunately, they didn’t get to talk much about what I did.
SLAM!*BOOM! Using my magic, I slammed them on the cave walls.
Rumble… The cave contorted itself to my will, creating a bind that squeezed their bodies to unconsciousness. Now, I can finally resume walking. Passing by the man, I heard him whisper. “I-Impossible… Augustus…” . . . “5 left…” The remaining ones looked at me, fear etched on their eyes, as I stepped closer to them. They quivered each time I took a step. Snapping my fingers, pillars of earth and rock pulled themselves from the cave walls. The men immediately widened their eyes. ♪~Fate only ends when you’re dead~♪ “Wai–“
BOOM! Unfortunately for them, I couldn’t hear what they had to say, as the pillars bashed them into the wall. In the livestream feed, people couldn’t see anything as the dust now covered the entire camera. [Man! What’s with the constant dust effects?!] [What’s gonna happen now?] [The annoying dust aside, the blending of science and magic on this one’s quite good.] [The guy above. Yeah, no kidding.] [The guy must be using some kind of gamma rays, since purple’s on the farthest of the EM Spectrum!] [Oh shut up, let’s just watch this.]
[But we are watching science?]
[Mother of all cliffs and hangers!]
[Who the hell use intellect in an strength and power fight?]
[Uhh… Didn’t you hear that he just used magic to manipulation gravity..?] [I’m wondering whether the guy’s just a smartass…]
[Or dumb to flaunt his formula.]
