Chapter 3:

I'm gonna tell her

Above the stars

As the sun was already shining brightly, Akemi came into the Kakashi's room and opened up the curtains which were met by a hissing unbalanced breathing and an unwilling sound. When she turned around she could see Kakashi reaching to block it out as it was too bright, and then she said:

"Wake up, your dad is waiting for you in the living room. You better not make him wait, and more importantly, you'd better have something to say for yourself before you get there. You know he won't go easy on you for offending more than half of the planet."

"Mom, it's just a novel, don't think I'm that kind of a man." (Kakashi with an apologetic look on his face)

"You aren't a man, kid! Now get going" (Akemi still a bit infuriated)

As he went downstairs looking gloom passing his brother's room, Luka opened the door and drowsily leaned on the doorway while rubbing his eye. When he saw Kakashi, his face lit up in a mischievous smile and he said:

"Oh! Someone's in trouble! I want to watch the way you get scolded even though I don't know what you did."

"Well, I don't think you are gonna be allowed to hear what dad will scold me about since it's an adult thing. You are just too young Luka." (Kakashi explaining)

"Oh well, have a good time. I'm gonna get stuff ready for school. Since you are getting the time of your life I'm gonna help with your stuff for school. Make a video of your face, please. No sound needed since you always make the most amazing expressions." (Luka gloating)

"Thanks, kid. Come when you are ready with everything. I don't think it will take too long since I was only reading a novel." (Kakashi thinking he won't get an earful)

He continued downstairs and found his father sitting at one end of the table. He was looking at him with curious eyes to examine what he was feeling at the moment.

"I can see that you slightly feel regret but you don't understand what you did wrong. Let me tell you right away. Reading is not wrong. Even thinking of that is still ok. But if you get wishes regarding it and do your share to complete them, you won't be able to look into another woman's eyes. I tell you this because every man has or had harem fantasies. We all have urges, but I'll tell you something. It is something that would leave your relationship with many holes." (Josip with care)

"I wouldn't do it, dad. I can see it in your and mom's relationship and everyone else's who gave their hearts completely to each other compared to the shallow pleasure from people who shift their relationships week in, week out. I do get fantasies, I won't hide that. But it's not something I could do." (Kakashi showing his true colors in love)

"Good. I do feel a bit better from hearing you say it, but still, those are some unhealthy thoughts. I believe you should get a girlfriend that can take your thoughts and occupy them. So you wouldn't have anything else on your mind but her. Oh, what do I see there in your eyes? You have already someone that fits the description, don't you?" (Josip showing his distinguished side)

"I do, dad. But I don't believe she looks at me in that way. We talked a few times but I don't get such vibes from her that I am enough." (Kakashi hesitantly)

"You should go and ask her out anyway. It's Friday already and you won't get a chance to see her for two days after today. You would be surprised how much a few simple words can shock a girl and make her think over everything she knows about you. Believe me, if you ask her, your chances are pretty high." (Josip encouraging his son)

"Well thanks, dad. I am gonna ask her today at school when I see her. I doubted myself a lot, but hearing your words and thinking over your and mom's marriage, I really didn't get it how she fell for you." (Kakashi said this with a mischievous smile)

He got a reply from his dad at the same moment.

"Why you little... I'm gonna tell you this. Your mom is amazing. I was the one who understood that the most. As I was talking to her one day, it came to me like a flood from inside. At the same moment, she looked shocked as something had struck her at that very moment. I couldn't believe that and let it go. But, since we were both hanging out in a cafe almost every day, I realized that it didn't go away and then I spoke those words:

"hey, Akemi, do you maybe have someone you are seeing now?"

And as she said:

"No, I am waiting for someone special."

Then I said:

"Could I be that special one? Since I have a flood of emotions whenever I am around you."

And then her eyes shone like beacons in the night, lighting my path forward with a smile. I leaned forward and..."

"OK DAD, I DONT NEED TO KNOW THAT! Your first kiss is not something your son wants to hear. But I understand that and I do feel weird whenever I'm around her. I will ask her today." (Kakashi panicking and waving his hands around, later reassuring his dad that he will ask her out)

"Glad to hear it kid. Try not to embarrass yourself too much since us men tend to do pretty crazy things to get a woman's heart." (Josip giving his son a lesson)

"I'll ask her privately" (Kakashi trying to avoid further conversation)

"Hey blockheads let's eat!" (Luka in for the save)

As Luka was coming down the stairs, he shouted that sentence and was met by kind eyes from both his brother and father. He looked at them and with a mischievous smile, he said:

"If you two are done with your bonding moment I would like to eat and go to school since I have 5 girls who would love to talk to me in private"

"How did you... What...?!" (Kakashi shocked)

"Kid, you know that is not how women should be treated. Love is sacred. And you are kinda young to completely understand what you are talking about." (Josip explaining to the boy)

"I should just say that you forgot about the duct that leads from the living room to the hallway upstairs. I can hear everything when I pass by. Now, let's eat, and go to school." (Luka pumped)
