Reincarnated into another world?

It was an ordinary day in Truck-kun's life. He was driving around with Driver-kun. They weren't friends or anything of that sort but Truck-kun appreciated his presence. After all, being a truck was lonely. Not only was he incapable of communicating with others but due to a lot of accidents caused by trucks as well as light novels, manga and anime often using trucks to kill of the main character so that they could get reincarnated into a different world, humans became afraid of trucks, so most of them stayed away from them. But that loneliness only made Truck-kun appreciate Driver-kun more.
That fateful day however, Truck-kun saw another truck approaching him. It was driving on the wrong lane! Unable to dodge it, Truck-kun and the other truck collided, causing an explosion. Truck-kun started to lose consciousness. Was he dying? He didn't want to die. He didn't deserve this type of death. But other than fear, Truck-kun also felt curiosity. Was there an afterlife? He sure hoped so. Truck-kun always wished that he'd go to heaven after he died. He just didn't know that his death would come so soon. Was there anything he would have liked to do before his death? Truck-kun never had any great wishes and he didn't have any regrets either. He didn't want to die but maybe it wasn't that bad after all. If an afterlife existed, it would surely be more fun than his life was before. He had Driver-kun but other than that? There wasn't anything that made his life particularly enjoyable. On the other hand, it wasn't a bad life either. Sure, it was boring but it wasn't bad. Then again, whether he wanted to die or not didn't matter as that didn't change the situation. He would die nonetheless, so it would be best to just accept it.

"Welcome to the afterlife!", a strange voice said. So there was an afterlife after all. Truck-kun slowly started to process his surroundings. Everything was white. Everything, except for an anthropromorphic creature that was floating in front of him. It was the source of the voice, a goddess.
She continued, "You died way too soon, didn't you? That must be very sad for you. But I have decided to revive you! The only downside is that it's in a different world."
Was this an isekai? Truck-kun didn't know exactly what that was. The only things he knew were the things he heard during his journeys. But he was sure that isekai was the right term for this.
"I'm sure you are really confused right now, so I'll explain it for you. You see, in the world you're going to live in, there is a very dangerous demon lord who wants to eradicate humanity, so there needs to be a hero to stop him. The people, however, are mostly too weak and scared to defeat him, so I searched for alternatives. And while observing your world, I felt a strong power coming from you. You're the chosen one who will save the world."
Truck-kun still didn't understand anything but it wasn't like he could ask anything. The only thing he could do was stay still and wait. Then he remembered. What about Driver-kun? It wasn't like they were friends or anything but he was still wondering what happened to him. Maybe he even survived. Then, suddenly, Truck-kun's door opened and someone came out. It wasn't driver-kun though, it was a beautiful girl.
"Seems like I accidentally revived you as well", the goddess said. "I should have paid more attention. Well, then you can simply accompany Truck-kun. I'll give you the power to understand what Truck-kun thinks. That way, things will be easier for you both."
Truck-kun realized, the only person who could have gotten revived after the accident was Driver-kun. But he seemed to have become a girl. Not that that mattered to Truck-kun. The only thing that mattered to him was to finally have someone to talk to. He couldn't be happier. He didn't even care that he was dead anymore. He just hoped that his next life would be more fun now that he could at least talk to one person. Especially if he was going to be a hero.

Then, everything around Truck-kun and Driver-kun went dark. They were losing consciousness yet again and the moment they awoke, they found themselves in a forest. Now their new life would begin.
