Chapter 5 : MOM!?

Is there even anyone reading this it ain't even updating for months now.

As I walked out of the building it was already nearing night time.
I noticed that my mom's car wasn't at the front anymore.
"Maybe she went home already?" I muttered
I grab the extremely cracked phone from my pocket, and called my mom.
"Mom, the all the tests are done, where are you right now?"
"..." there was no answer from my mother.
Beep...Beep...Beep...
'That's weird why did mom just hang up without even saying anything?'
without knowing what was going my way, I went home while looking for mom on the way. 
As I didn't find mom at the parking lot I figured that she already went home.

Outside our house I saw my mother's car parked at  the side walk.
I took my keys out and put it in the keyhole but to my surprise the door was not locked.
As I opened the door, the living room was extremely quite, to the point that if you drop a pin or a needle, it would still be audible from a mile.
"MOM!!!~, where are you." I shouted to let my mom know that I was home.
Still... no reply from mother as usual. I thought looking into her office.
"Maybe she's in her office." I muttered to my self.
In front of the office door I knocked three times. "Mom are you in there?" I asked "..." and still no reply.
As I was getting worried I opened the door and saw before me a stormed office. Files were on the floor, drawers opened scattered on the floor, pillows from the sofa laying everywhere.

"UGHH!!~, Mom where are you!?."
I kept on looking as to where my mother was, wandering around the house looking for her until the point where there is only one place I haven't searched.

As I was standing in front of the door, I heard a clicking sound at the living room. Looking at how unorganized the house was when I came back maybe it was from someone breaking in? 

I sneaked near the stairs and hear footsteps.                                              the floor was creaking, and I was hearing heavy footsteps going up the stairs.

"GALE!!! I know your home!!! you get down here and help me with these groceries!"

I hear my mother's voice and headed downstairs. 

I saw mom and said "did you buy them at sale?"                                    "Well I did get cheaper than the usual? Why?"                                          "Oh I was looking for you since earlier but you weren't here."                "Enough of that, help me with these groceries." 

I took the stuff she brought and was placing them to where they're supposed to go. 

I heard my mom scream and immediately ran towards where my mother was. to my surprise I saw my mother with a masked man hand holding some sort of dagger directed at her throat.
The masked man noticed me and slit my mother's throat.

"NOOOO!!!!!~~" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
The masked man banished, and reappeared behind me and said.
"Sorry kid, I'm just doing my Job." and he chopped my neck making me pass out.

"...tor......ry..sh....sing...lot..of..blo..." 
'who's that'.......'did I not get home after the exam'

"Hu..y....prepa....th.....lance....."
'Ahhh~I remember now... I was taken down by that guy'
As I open my eye's I see... My mother, A guy in a white coat, a doctor maybe.
Mom looks like she's in pain. I don't want to see her in pain, she's been through enough. I want to ease her pain, I want to let her live happily.

[ACTIVATING EXCLUSIVE SKILL (KINGS GREED)]. 'Huh am I hearing things now'
[HEALING TARGET (ATHENA)] [HEALING IMMEDIATELY].

As the ambulance door opened my mother was taken to the emergency room ASAP.
All I could do was watch from afar as she was taken the emergency personnel.

'This is all because I'm weak' I thought and blamed myself as I see her going in.
