Foreword:

Hello, I'm GameMaker8YT. The author of this light novel series. This is my first light novel and I apologize in advance for my inexperience. I hope you enjoy.

Arc 1: A soulless Ash - Chapter 1: A life of regrets

Piles of corpses, soldiers fighting in the background, heads shot, arms dismembered, lives taken, and a man with nothing left to lose stands on top of a pile of corpses as he imagines a noose in front of him. He uncontrollably screams with everything he has left, as he is shot in the head.

Centuries have passed since that day… The day that destroyed humanity.

About 280 years later.

“Dammit Ash, you, worthless, you have nothing, look at your sister, she is a master when it comes to swordsmanship, while you’re here, sitting on your ass doing nothing”. Marcus says.

“Calm down, honey, you are making your son frightened,” Amanda says. Marcus slaps Amanda on the face, she falls to the floor.

“You’re a disgrace, to this family, I wish you were never born!” Marcus says.

January 16th, 281 AU.

“Hey, ash wake up, Ash!” Leon says. Ash wakes up, “come on Ash you got to stop daydreaming like that, I hope you’re not thinking of any girls, heh, well if you were thinking of Amber, I guess she’d be fine with that, is that right Amber?”

Leon says in a mischievous voice. Amber Blushes “Shut up, Leon, but I suppose if you wer-.” Amber was interrupted, “focus on the mission, don’t go on thinking about useless shit.” Wade says,

“Yeah, Yeah, hey how long till we get there, I need to take a shit.” Leon says. “About 30 minutes” Wade says. “Come oooon, couldn’t we have just taken the horses instead of this carriage, to get there?” Leon says, “No, we were to transport many unidentified weapons to Kazuma City, just hold it in a little longer” Wade says.

Ash thinks to himself “I can’t believe my day is starting out by listening to a bunch of people talking about shit”. “Hey ash so, you were born in this city, *Amber starts to fidget her hands out of nervousness* since we have the whole afternoon of tomorrow, do you maybe, want to come and explore the city with me?” Amber Says. “I suppose, I have nothing better to do” Ash says. Amber puts a pout face “well, you didn’t have to say It like that”.

“Get a room you two, did a cupid shoot you with a fucking arrow or something” Leon says. “Wade, when we arrive at Kazuma city, could we stop by the bookstore?” Brandon says, “Always reading something are you, Brandon? Sure, I suppose we could stop by”. “Wade, what weapons are we even transporting to the military warehouse anyway?” Ash says, “gotta tell you one thing it better not be a whip or a belt, don’t want all the people here turning into dominatrix’s” Leon says, “We don’t have any information on the weapon cargo, but I think it’d probably be regular assault rifles, carbines, daggers, sheaths, the regular weapons”.

About 30 minutes later. “Finally, here at the warehouse, get all the cargo out of the carriage,” Wade says. “You must be Akim Aksana, we have all your designated cargo ready for pickup, we need your signature here sir, now we will just need payment” Ash Says.

“What do you mean fucking payment, your coward of a king told me this was free, as sort of a favor for saving his ass back in the day”.

Akim's squad starts to point their guns at Wade’s squad. “Woah calm down, I don’t think you want to start a fight here over some stupid weapons” Wade says.

“Weapons? Ah, these aren’t fucking weapons, why don’t you look inside there yourselves” Akim says, Amber walks cautiously to the cargo and opens it up with a dagger, Amber suddenly gets a surprised expression on her face.

“It’s over 20 kg of heroin…” Amber says, with a frightened voice. “That fucking disgrace of a king, he lied to us we were transporting illegal substances for 3 freaking days!” Wade says, “We aren’t paying you shit, so either you hand us the cargo, or we will take it by force” Akim says.

Akim whistles, giving off a signal to his squad to engage in action. “Ash, you go attack from the right! Amber, you, and Leon go to the Left and cause a distraction here’s an EMP! Brandon, you use your Core, to scare that soldier right next to Akim!”.

Ash and the rest of the squad start to run to their targets. Brandon do it now! “AAAAAAAH, don’t kill me please, I’ll do anything, HELP!” Soldier says, “The fuck going on with you”. “Jikko!” Wade says. Ash then jumps towards Akim in a split second making a perfect strike, cutting his head completely, with the spine sticking out of the neck, Akim’s corpse falls to the ground. “Akim’s dead” Ash says. “Amber, Leon. Now!” Wade says.

Amber and Leon then start to run towards the remaining soldiers, Leon strikes the two soldiers on the right with a lighting whip, the whip moves at such a speed it splits both soldiers in half, “fuck I always hate seeing the intestines they look like cow shit” Leon says.

Amber does her melee finisher, grabbing one of the soldiers on the left stabbing him in the stomach five times, then shooting him in the head, amber quickly uses the soldier’s corpse as a shield to block the bullets and throws him at the remaining soldier, Amber throws the EMP at the soldier's mouth while it was open, causing the last soldier to explode. The whole squad then walks out of the scene together with the heroine burning in the back.

“Hey Wade, how come you didn’t do anything?” Leon says, “I’m the captain, I stay at the back and give you orders, I only engage when absolutely necessary” Wade says,

“Yeah, yeah I’ll forgive ya, if you set me up with someone” Leon says, “like anyone would want to go out with a guy like you” Wade says “fuck off” Leon says.

“Leon! he’s bleeding” Amber says, “no shit sherlock, I don’t think there’s any tampons thick enough t-, oh you meant… him” Leon says, “Hey guy’s the carriage driver is dead” Leon says, “Well, he had it coming, who the fuck would accept a job in the Umbra Corps anyway?” Brandon says, “let’s just find a hotel to stay at for now” Wade says.

“By the way, what’s the name of our squad again?” Leon says, “Squad Petra” Wade says.
